Hey guys, i began Starting strength last week, enjoying it so far, but i'd like to know about some good foods that are high in calories that i could use to bulk up since i only weigh around 130 lbs, 5 ft 10. appreciate it
How to get between 2000 and 3000 calories per day
also noob question but wtf is 1/2/3/4?
You gonna get fat.
>130 lbs
this is not good
start eating like a piggy
got any specific foods?
>2000-3000 calories per day
>gonna get fat
extreme manlet or extreme body dysmorphia?
oh shit, here it comes!
As someone who use to be your height but 113 pounds (lmao I had an eating disorder probs): Whole Milk. At least half a gallon a day. If you aren't gaining a 3-4 pounds a month, up it to a gallon of milk a day.
Yes, you will get fat. Yes it will be worth it.
neither
an average man will get fat on >2500 cals per day for extended periods, this board is full of delusional fuckwits who haven't lifted for more than a few months, most of you faggots aren't physically active enough to eat that much without putting on significant amounts of fat
Start the day with four eggs, buttered toasted, four slices of bacon, a banana, a cup of cottage cheese with nuts and a protein shake. Thats 1250 calories on the low estimate.
At lunch eat a sweet potato, some cubed fried potatoes with cheese, pan cooked chicken breast, and a roast beef sandwich cooked in the chicken grease. 1240 calories there. Add in some bratwurst, or pork rinds to easily make it 1640.
I could go all day OP, this thread is dumb. Learn to eat big.
gbt Considering you can lose fat relatively quickly (2 pounds per week without losing strength) I'd say gaining a bit of fat is the least of OP's worries.
alrighty thanks for the help everyone

Honestly if you want quick and easy meals, you can combine staple foods and dairy in infinite ways, its super cheap too. Bananas and frozen mangos are your fruit, canned spinach is your veggies, potatoes and potato bread are your carbs, your protein can come from basically any dairy or cheap meat. My favorite sources are sardines, cottage cheese, pork rinds, kefir (its cheap at german markets), slow cooked cheap cuts of beef, sausage (make sure its a good brand, look for german markets to buy it from), mozzarella cheese, and natural peanut butter. The good thing about these sources, is that they all contain enough fats so that if you eat them regularly, you shouldn't have to worry about your fat macros. Its good to add some salads into your meals as well, even though they're filling with not a lot of calories, your asshole will thank you. You can also make salad very calorie filled by adding things like bacon, meat, dressing etc. Make sure to use ranch dressing. Ground beef is super cheap as well, go find a local butcher, Walmart meat is overpriced to hell for the low quality that it is.
Trail mix, always eat whole bag

I start my day with 1 cup (dry) quaker old fashioned oats with some honey and fresh blueberries

You don't need high calorie food to bulk and it's probably not that healthy either. Go for a clean bulk and slowly work your cal intake up.
That's because the average man doesn't even lift, you dumb fuck.
t. 5'10, 87kg with TDEE of about 3300 calories.
