This. A friend of mine is on tinder and has been for over two years and she hasn't met with a single person she matches with. She's pretty cute, she showed me when she got a 10,000 likes achievement on tinder but it's all for an ego boost.
i have a very ambiguous bio and some long hair & bitches match with me over that a lot, the only way to keep them interested past matching with you is to validate them right off the bat. of course you don't need to mean it, just smash and pass, but to get there you jump through their little hoops.

I get about 10 matches per week, usually something like 2-3 of them respond. Girls (especially non-ugly ones) are literally flooded with matches and messages on Tinder, so don't blame yourself, chances of getting through aren't great. Keep at it.
