I suggest when first starting the raptor squat to practice on low bar, and gradually lower the weight by about 50% before switching to high bar.

Good way to wreck your hip flexors. I had shit form when I first started squatting and I would raise my heels to push through the squat. After about 3 weeks of SS with that form I couldn't do an unweighted squat without intense pain. I looked it up and it's a common mistake and problem. I had to stop for a few weeks and basically lost what tiny gains I had madr.

Don't be afriad to try new things but if you feel hip pain I'd advise stopping brehs.
