what is your opinion on weight gainers? i am a skinny dyel college student and i though i could get all my calories from regular food sources but i just cant i sometimes have class all day and cant get proper meals or enough calories

Is it a sharp pain on the front part of your quad, close to the hip? If so, it's your hip flexor and you need to start seriously working on mobility (stretching 15 min before squats) until you squat again. Had the same thing happen.
You should have at least some DOMS the day after. Work harder or correct form.

And with the DOMS thing, I dunno man, like after every leg day I get it big time, but then I bench and I don't feel it much at all, even with shoulder exercises where I can hardly do even 5lb lat raises by the end

Any pain felt around the hip (in your case it's the hip abductors) is almost always caused by lack of mobility. Number 1 thing you need to do to, especially when squatting heavy, is stay mobile.

If the problem is specifically for bench, try using DBs. If you are adamant about barbell benching, you need to adjust your form. If you are going full ROM, with correct form, and using a spotter so you can bench til failure, chest DOMS should be prevalent.

I know its a common thing for SS + GOMAD people to just become even worse looking but I feel like even after progressing a lot through The Bridge (Barbell Medicine) the only noticeable thing that's happened is my love handles are slightly bigger.

6'0", 212lbs only seriously lifting ~3 months.

Before program I was 205 bench, 305 squat, 315 deadlift, maybe 95 OHP

Now I'm 245 bench, 365 squat, 365x2 deadlift and 155 OHP.

Will I not notice more considerable thickness until 2/3/4/5??

Yeah I've used DB bench, but I've never felt anything really when doing them either, even when approaching failure. When benching I feel like my form is decent, elbows not flared, shoulders pushed pack and scapulas pushed down, chest pushed up etc but nothing. I only ever seem to get DOMS wtih leg exercises

It's not a meme. Splits allow long stretches without rest days and you might be fine, but you would probably benefit.

If you're brand new you probably don't need one yet, but if you've been lifting for a while 6day/wk just wont do it unless you eat and sleep a fuck ton.

I'm in the same boat as (you) OP, except I prioritize necessary bodily functions like eating food regularly above all else, eat in class, eat a little between classes, drink a shake or something, but you need to not go long periods without food.

Legs have painful DOMS because they're the largest muscle group you work. Give it time, sounds like you just started out.. DOMS will get way worse

You're just gunna have to suffer through. Eat a huge breakfast of things like steel cut oats with peanut butter, drink a shake before bed.

As long as your numbers increase and you're building muscle there is no problem. DOMS aren't a great indicator of wether a workout was hard enough, but not feeling them at all struck me as odd. What are your lifts?

For the last week I feel a sharp pain in the area you can see on picture when doing squats. Never had this before, it's always on the same leg. I didn't have any injury. I tried squatting empty bar and I still feel it. What could be the cause?

Maybe I mis-read that, all I know from my own experience is that doing any type of bro-split or 6 day program when you're no longer a novice makes things much harder than lifting heavy 3/4 times a week and keeping up with recovery. Could be wrong though, I'm no expert obviously.

Only thing I could imagine is you're not warmed up enough and you're squatting way too wide, try bringing your feet closer together and doing low-bar until you can do the same width with high-bar.

I think it might depend if you’re training for strength or hypertrophy.. I’ve also heard 3-4 day full body or upper lower is better for strength, and I’ve heard others say higher volume and upper lower or PPL 5-6 days a week is best for hypertrophy.. though a lot of experts seem to agree PPL 6 days a week is way too much for any natural depending on the volume I guess. Personally I found a 4 days upper lower split to be way more taxing than PPL 5 days a week I think because upper lower splits generally have 2 more compounds and less accessories. It felt harder, less fun and less rewarding to me.

Id get it tested again desu. Do it earlier in the day when you have it off work and don’t lift before hand, if you’re still under 500 I’d think about hopping on TRT.

do more pushups. Take 60% of your one set max and do sets that long over the course of the day. Every day works as long as you eat and rest properly; every other day I found works better. Always aim to do a few pushups more at the end of every training day.

2x is good if you avoid training as hard as you can.
I find I get the most gains by training a muscle group once a week or once every 2 weeks personally, I just get way more sults, both strength and size wise.

One of my pecs is definitely more defined and larger than the other and I noticed a small bit with my shoulders as well. I've tried doing dumbbell work and doing isolated movements to focus on each muscle individually and i've noticed little to no improvement. It may just be body dysmorphia, but when I look at myself in the mirror I can't help but notice that my body looks "off".

Would calisthenics or any specific exercises help with this? Any advice would be much appreciated

Have been getting a sharp (but not too sore) pain in my right hip while squatting for the past two weeks.
Googled it and apparently I should stop squatting for 3 weeks + do hip recovery stretches instead... Is this true? Seems like I'd lose crazy progress. Going skiing in mid march as well so really don't want to fuck my hip / lose too much progress.
