There are a variety of reasons but il leave that to other anons. I lack exact sources and in depth knowledge.
It did change a bit but not much, I started off barely being able to bench 1 plate twice and now I can bench 225 8 times for 5 sets and with pullups I could only do 3 when i started and now I can do 8 with a 45 plate hanging from my waist
