Can i substitute other exercise for lifting? I like to do calisthenics and stuff because I can't afford a gym, might be getting some free weights to use at home soon though

Calisthenics are fine... just takes a bit longer, but chicks dig pullup progressions. Look up a good Push/pull routine and stick to it.

Makes sense, I got a pull up bar as well and I feel that its one of the best exercises to do in general
