Where should the bar touch your chest? I've tried something different yesterday any tried to lower the bar just above my nipples, felt uncomfortably close, but damn, I've never felt my chest like that before.
depends on grip width and upperarm length
It should be whereever the forearm is vertical relative to the ground. If your humerus(upperarm) is longer its gonna be lower compared to someone with shorter humeri
Usually it should hit below nipple line. With some people it hits lower chest, with others it hits upper abs. However, i dont think this should be a problem if your shoulders and elbows are at the correct angle.

Keep doing that but add in (pure example) dips and t-bar/machine rows on A day and DB press and chinups on B day, three or four sets in the 10-15 rep range.
I couldn't bench 100kg at 100kg so I just decided to dips and never went back. Mean while I progerss like retard on coke with my dips. I can't barbell bench press to save my life

In my opinion doing full olympic lifts for powerlifting is ass backwards, because unless you did weightlifting in the past, you are going to be limited by technique, and won't be able to develop strength/explosiveness.
