I don't have any protein shakes, or pre workout, or any suppliment other than multivitamins actually. Same boat as you OP except I'm 20. Got tested at 325 ng/dl which is lower than an average 80-100 year old, but still within the """""""normal""""""" range (300+ in America, 200+ in my shitty country) so it's a bitch trying to find a doctor who'll treat it, especially when you're this young.
I've always eaten healthy, never been fat, worked physical jobs etc.
Going to a private endo in a couple months and if he doesn't want to prescribe hcg or clomid at the very least I'll just try my luck at the 1 men's clinic in my cunt that actually offers TRT.
I've been taking vitamin D and zinc+b6+magnesium, as well as 1-2 brazil nuts daily for selenium, and it definitely relieves my depression but I still have low energy, low confidence, no motivation, low libido/no morning wood/ED, irritability, basically zero facial hair, brain fog etc.

As far as diet goes the optimal for T is getting twice as many carbs as protein, but it's tricky because most carbs (all the shit processed stuff, oats, gluten) are shit and will negatively affect your T. Your best bets are potatoes, other starchy stuff like pumpkin, and rice (which I don't like to eat because it's full of arsenic). Things I'm not sure about are pasta, weetbix, & brown bread. Gluten's supposed to be bad for T and all the bread in my country has soy flour as the last ingredient on the label.
In any case if you're predisposed to low T diet/supplementing isn't going to help you much. For me it'll probably just bump my levels into the goldilocks zone of 400-500 where you're symptomatic, below the levels of both men and women who take TRT, but can't get treatment.
