you could be carrying more lean body mass though. for example I calculated mine to be around 140 lbs, which means I would have to lose a few pounds of muscle to reach the 130's and even then be at an unsustainable

Its my first ever proper cut and I started it out badly by dropping like 80% of my carbs out of diet, going from 3100kcals to 2100kcals.
I Lost all my strength so fast. Since then I have upped my kcals to 2550 and upped my carbs to 280g. I feel stronger and I am still losing weight.

So you started at ~172? I'm 5'10" and I cut from 175 to 157 before but I was so miserable, out of energy, and my dick wouldn't fucking work. Plus I could only think about food. Also cut at 1500-1600 cal, 160g protein and 70-80g fat.

Make meals around lean meats like chicken, light meals like tuna and whey post workout.
Carbs are easy just oats, whoelgrain pasta and some bread.
Fats just accumulated from the above foods and whole eggs.
Basics for me:
Carbs: rice, pasta, oats, veggies
Protein: lean meat, cottage cheese, some other dairy, protein powder
Fats: dairy, avocado, nuts, oils
