Fishing, Mountain Biking, and card games.

3d modelling

In time I want to learn electric guitar building. First DIY kit is already in progress but either don't have time or motivation to work at it.

only vidya now, I'm trying to get into shape so I can start mountain climbing again. Also want to do origami but can't make myself do it consecutively every day to practice. Too poor for guitar right now but also want to give that a try

Med school, gf, dog and work already takes so much time. I still manage to do 4-5 weightlifting (yes, the sport) sessions a week. But can't really say that I have other "hobbies". The more responsibility and work you have, the more you get rid of the other stuff..

three of my favorite activites, nice

When me and my bros are free we usually hit the streets, clubs and beaches to GAME chicks. We treat this like a hobby but it has transformed our lives being more confident socially and having more dating options. The amount of experiences we have had with girls and random people by just cold approaching in new areas has created some crazy social circles and best nights of our lives. If you guys have friends who are willing to learn cold approach to meet new people it’s probably one of the best things you can do for yourself.

I like collecting and painting miniature figures.

Painting, Muay Thai and cooking.

very nice

Neato. I was into miniatures for a while, but it turned out to be really time consuming and expensive. I still have a bunch of kits so maybe I'll throw together vignettes and make use of them.

What am I supposed to be looking at? And where in Aus are ya?
Most of my mates are normies and would not want to do this

Reading, meditating, Muay Thai

What are alpha hobbies?
Meditation?
Reading?

What else?
I need shit to do because nofap/noporn

Swing dancing: It gives me social interaction and touch, which, as it turns out, are both really important

Reading and meditation will nit increase your social capital. "Alpha" hobbies are ones that require:

1)Physical activity
2)Social interaction

that's my secret
i never lift

I like to knit
I might knit my first sweater ever this winter

Nice

Cheers m8s

Disagree, (good) women are attracted to intelligence and if you read a lot of non-fiction you can talk about some really interesting conversation topics. Also maybe meditation won’t help you socially if you are an extrovert already, but I had really bad anxiety growing up and meditation has almost eliminated that completely. Can comfortably talk to just about anyone anywhere without getting super nervous and sweating profusely like I used to

I guess I'm the only person thats noticed average people are uninteresting, lame, soft as fuck, and don't think for themselves. I'd rather be alone than spend time with shitty people. I'd like to create a social circle of people worth having around, I'm going to start by becoming one.

Could you elaborate how and in what ways it helped you?

I was coerced into playing ultimate frisbee a few weeks ago and I was unironically never closer to suicide after that. I'm also a turbo sperg.

well played, subtle kek

The meditation technique I use is all about observing sensations in the body and how they constantly change. I guess that with enough practice observing sensations, when I am confronted with a situation that previously made me anxious (like public speaking, a date, whatever), I can still observe those sensations relating to anxiety coming up (butterflies, tenseness) but I have control over it because I am the observer and don’t let it interfere with my emotions

Hard to pin down exactly how it did it though, recommend you just try it and see how you feel - worst case scenario you wasted 10 mins a day

fucking weaboos, never learn

Sewing and knitting, also drawing

I feel ya, dont worry, there is plenty of lone hobbies that are worth pursuing

I'm another user, I'm wondering more about your meditation technique. Do you have a certain guide or anything for us to follow? I suffer from severe anxiety and depression. My psychiatrist is wanting me to take Zoloft but fuck that shit man. Any tips would be nice. Thanks bro

You know whats funny, I used to write a lot of rap and shit like that but I realized just how beta/soy it really is. I dont mean to put you off or nothing, but i was literally just thinking that about 10 mins ago no joke.

I mean its all just writing within a formula about women and shit. But its like... is rap really alpha? or is it just a front to seem tough?

>Watching tv
Seriously half of these are shit.

Its not about being alpha I just appreciate lyricists lol
I always realize how stupid it is but my goal is just making a song that moves me the way some of my favorite artists do. nothing yet but im trying

fuck the search for being alpha just do what makes you happy

Reading non-fiction to talk to women is like learning to swim to get better at flying a plane. The vast majority of women read fiction and actively avoid non-fiction. You should aim to read the more mature fiction novels and find women that also like such literature. Look for novels that fall under Philosophical or Psychological fiction etc. Women HATE straight philosophy or psychology etc and so reading about either and talking about the concepts you've read will put them to sleep. They need a story, drama and characters to actually get involved and the underlying deeper elements are secondary but open to discussion.

Any woman that tells you she loves reading non-fiction is either an extreme outliner, is only reading shitty self help books or has a mental disability like autism (AKA not a good woman).

While meditation is helpful on a personal level, as is reading, neither are much help on a social capital level except in rare circumstances. Any hobby can appeal and interest the right person but hobbies that are social and require physical activity are universal indicators of a healthy body and social life, both of which are attractive traits.

Watching baseball. Watching hockey. Veeky Forumslit/ I go to church on sundays.

I do practice meditation too, but the way I'm using it is like an attention exercise. Sort of like a mental curl, I let my thoughts come up naturally and then focus again on my breathing. It's definitely helping me out, as a meta-skill, it improves just about everything.
I'm wondering how to redirect my meditation towards the anxiety problem; catch it while it happens, imagine scenarios while at home? Not sure, maybe you have some kind of advice. Thanks for sharing anyway!

kinda gay

Church isn't a hobby

If you haven’t meditated before, your first step should be to create a regular routine like ‘15 minutes after brushing my teeth every morning’. Keep this up for a week-month and it’ll become a habit. When you’re starting, I recommend guided meditations as they’re much easier to follow - you can find a load on YouTube or use the Headspace app. I use Anapana and Vipassanna meditation that I learned after doing a 10-day meditation retreat. If you can get onto one of those I’d recommend it strongly, will be the hardest 10 days ever but will change your life completely and teach you the techniques in-depth. If not, just google ‘vipassanna technique audio’ and I think there’s a 40 min audio clip that teaches you the techniques. But to get started with a habit just do guided

Why do you not live for yourself? This post shows me how sad you are.

This post made me unironically hate women that say they read. I'd rather take a dumb thot than some loser who reads heaps of fiction.

Try imagining really uncomfortable situations that bring out bad anxiety in you and then just observe how your body reacts to it; maybe your muscles tense up or your throat feels heavy or you have thoughts telling you to leave. Just observe them without judgement, don’t label them as bad feelings, and start to get yourself comfortable with them. Imagining can only get you so far though, you will need to put yourself into uncomfortable situations in person and see how you feel, again observing it and maybe mentally noting ‘that’s a feeling of anxiety’. I read online one technique I haven’t tried which is to literally personify your feelings, like call anxiety ‘Alex’ or something

>accidentally meditate yourself into bipolar personality disorder

D&D. I play online but some co-workers wanted to try it out so now I'm DMing.

sadly more of a cardio workout than anything and because i fell for the powerlifting meme I don't have the agility to do much in comp but at least it's a little social
>tfw you just strongarm every opponent in groundwork and get ippon anyway

So it's basically like a mindful exposure therapy and the lead up to that is simulating that experience beforehand. I like this idea, I think I'll actually do it. Not sure about naming my feelings though, but anyway.
Thanks user, I hope you have a great day!

>le fiction is bad meme

Just because the school library was full of teen fiction doesn't mean the entire genre is bad. There are thousands of books that cover mature elements and themes (not sex). Again psychological and philosophical fiction are great genres. The genre is tainted by the fact that anyone can write generic fantasy/romance/highschool book #74829729192124 but there are certainly some great books you shouldn't simply ignore because its in the fiction section.

>climbing
>guitar playing

Fuck, you're literally me

You need no knowledge of music theory to make music nowadays. Just pirate a DAW like FL studio or Ableton (simplest to learn) and mess with synths and midi programs. Copy the music you like, better yet reverse engineer it and notice how the notes must sound and form your intuition around that. Check out Sadowickproduction, seamlessr, Adam Neely, and Rick Beato on youtube. The theory stuff gets really esoteric and is frankly overwhelming at first but if you use it to analyze the music you like it'll help you analyze *exactly* what you like about a song and why.

outdoor climbing is pretty alpha if you live at a good location

Me too senpai, i wanna make my first electric like brian may

Im unironically studying military and scientific books on fitness and nutrition, western and eastern philosophy and psychology, learning how to cook, play guitar, work on cars. the only social activity I do with others literally is drugs and play pool on the weekend.

Fiction is mental masturbation for weak minded people

>Play bass and sing in a band, music that sells beer
>Built a library, read every evening
>Always carry a camera, shoot abstract shapes in nature, makes great presents and it’s cool to display your own art

I wish I could run buttnaked in the woods covered in dirt and sweat with fresh blood on my teeth, only then will I truly be free.

Kek at your mates pencil neck.
Kek even harder at how you and your mates are so beta you guys need eachother to even dare to cold approach.

Latin dancer here.
It helps me to have social interactions, and makes me see people, how they behave, how they dress, how they are, their mistakes, and where they fail in order to improve myself.

- get a bit fitter, no need to be muscular to stand out, one guy is quite muscular, but doesn't seem to stand out that much
- know how to dress, it's amazing to see how people dress like shit

You also see people who lack confidence, who have life scars, are a bit sad.

Dancing is a nice way to check if you're an ok partner.
- You have to be physically ok to dance.
- You need minimal IQ to learn moves
- You need some brain processing power to be able to remember moves, listen to the music, take care of the partner, all at once
- by the way you dress you show if you're able to care about your image or if you care only about your own comfort
- you build your social network, and it shows if you're a shit person or not
- you show if you can nicely treat a lady, by LEADING her, not letting her lead you, and at the same time TAKE CARE of her

It's not about showing off (which is a sign of insecurities), it's about showing if you're a healthy person.

Like said
Physical and social.
Not a so-called elitist shit you show off because you're insecure.

A healthy person is an average, well balanced one.
You have to be a 5 in most fields (income, height, fitness, intellectual, social, facial symmetry...), to be a healthy partner. Bonus if you are good in some fields that will make you more attractive.

Being a 5 5 5 5 5 is better than a 10 8 2 2 3.
SO: you need a good average score, and an low standard deviation.

Pic related, it's one of the events i attended to.

Football, Writing, Reading, Video games,

You have a problem with seeming insecure. Normal people have insecurities.

Right now I'm trying to make a self-watering greenhouse which can monitor the plants growth and warm me when I should harvest.

Your post unironically made me hate you for having such a weak understanding of what fiction is. Great fictitious writers and creators have had immense influence over culture and the collective conscious and throwing them out because you don't like the Low aspects of the genre is fucking retarded. Kill yourself.

that is nice I tried to DM for some mates too but they had too much of a pc game mindset and I'm newbie myself so it kinda just stopped you know.
