How long after a workout can you eat something unhealthy (such as a candy or a chocolate bar) without it ruining your gains?

One of the causes of acne is hormone. I accept that fact, but which hormones do cause it ? Or is it an imbalance in hormones ? If so what can I do to fix it ?

Newbie lifter, hurt my back rounding out while deadlifting. When it’s better, should I start back at the bar and do a fast progression back up, or start at a somewhat higher weight but just a lot less volume (ie. do 3x5 instead of 5x5 for dead’s).

As a skeleton who's completely new to weightlifting, would it be a bad idea to use machines for a couple weeks before doing SS so I can have enough strength for the proper barbell form?

Also, since I’m taking 2-3 weeks off from lower body lifting, would it be worthwhile to do leg machines until my lower back is better?

Yes, thank you. Apparently that was a bad idea. I realize that now. I thought it was a recommendation because beginners are weak. Felt great doing 235 at 5x5, then tried doing them and squats on same day and tweaked something in my lower back. Once that recovers I’ll take a more balanced approach. I also dialed back all my other 5x5s (squat, bench, OHP) to 3x5 with more warmup sets. I also cut out weighted hanging leg raises and weighted hanging knee raises because I was using my back too much.

I have trouble sleeping even if I take melatonin.
How many pushups should I do so im dead tired and fall sleep within minutes of layig down?

Not a bad idea mate. Would recomend you focus on the muscle contractions though. (IE actively think about your less dominant side when using machines or you may get asymmetrical gains due to using your dominant side)

Much harder to get asymmetric gains when using barbells and the like

Even if you got down to say 140 lb you could still look fat so to speak, i mean you'd be extremely disgusting at 140 lb. But you could jusst have almost 0 muscle. Losing weight is well and good but not at the cost of muscle.

I'd rest it until it feels better, then do a fast progression back up. Call it a deload. Deadlifts is something you don't risk, and volume is less dangerous than high weights.

When does my calorie count reset? I don’t sleep much. So if i eat 1800 calories in 12 hours, how long til it’s ok to eat 1800 calories again

Man, I've been through it all when it comes to acne. That shit is an absolute pain in the ass. If you have minor acne, as in you're clear most of the time but every now and then you get a small pimple or two, you're best off watching your diet and keeping good hygiene. Basically eliminate dairy completely, use a face wash twice a day, shower right after your workouts, etc. However, if you have moderate to severe acne and nothing is keeping it away, the only answer that will get rid of it permanently is accutane. I had horrible cystic acne all over my face for years, and only recently did I decide to take accutane. I consider it to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. Went from severe acne to totally clear in a little over 2 months time. I was terrified of hair loss getting into it, but if you start with a moderate dosage and feel it out from there, you'll be fine. My hair looks better now than it ever did before.

Like other user said, you are drying out your face. Get a salicylic acid wash to use in the shower in the AM. Get a tube of charcoal face peel and do a face peel 1-2x/week. Get Lubriderm men's 3-in-1 fragrance free lotion, apply once daily. Buy a fuck load of cheap pillowcases. Change them out like socks. Wash your clothes with a fragrance free/sensitive laundry detergent and don't put too much detergent in.

I'm pretty sure it's not a bulging disk. I've continued to deadlift successfully with minor pain, and I'm fully functional in my day to day life. I was doing 5x5 for 235, hurt it on second rep of second set last Saturday (after squatting 205 5x5 earlier same session with no pain). Came back later that afternoon and did 3x5 at 135 no pain. Lifted Tuesday and Thursday and deadlifted 235 1x5 after long warmup and no squatting, minimal to no pain. Squatted today and bailed after the last warmup set at 185 due to pain, didn't try to deadlift.

Point is, I doubt I could do all of that if I had a bulging disk.

I'm starting my cut this week. I've been doing 5/3/1 for over a year but I'm thinking of changing to a routine that doesn't have periodization since I won't be building strength during a cut anyway.

Would Texas Method be a good alternative? Still high intensity low volume to retain muscle but I won't have to recalculate my entire month of workouts if I fail a set.

I'm currently doing stronglifts and it's okay, it got me into eating correctly and being consistent, however I just want to look like Chad on the beach this summer, is PPL a good program for that? Which one should I do? I don't mind going to the gym every day.

Home squat rack is weirdly narrow, can only front squat/zercher squat with it. Do you think i can get away with only front squatting? My gym membership is 60 bucks a month that i could really use.

Can I get rid of barbell bench press entirely in my chest routine? I just don't like it and don't care about strength enough to put my shoulders in jeopardy. What I currently do:
