Need life advice

Veeky Forums i started going to the gym a year ago and am no longer fat and feel a lot more comfortable in my own skin and have a moderate amount of confidence now. my current problem now however is that i am still a 21 year old NEET and i don't really know the best method to change that? the NEET life has begun getting really fucking boring for me and i would like to have money for things and experience some things in life. i'm 21 so i have already wasted a good 3-4 years of my prime years doing nothing so it really is time for me to try and do something, i really don't think i can put it off for much longer. i just don't know if i should just find some shitty full-time job right away or go to uni, maybe work part time while studying full time? i'm actually not that bad socially, i am however heavily addicted to the internet. i think the best method for me would be to write down some short and medium term goals and a realistic time-frame for me to achieve them, the main problem is i just have literally no clue what these goals should be. i do not know what i would study if i went to university for example. i also am fairly certain i would not be very good at or enjoy working a trade (electrician, plumber etc)

even though i don't care that much about what other people think, i still do struggle with the thought that i am and will always be permanently behind in life, but is there still a decent likelyhood of me being moderately successful if i apply myself?

i really can't handle being a NEET much longer and i have nowhere else to ask for advice so here i am. i will post some thots until someone asks me to stop because they're on no fap.

Pick a direction and move forward with it. Even if its not how you spend the rest of your life, it's probably better than being stagnant. Goals can help, as long as they're realistic, since they can create a motivating sense of accomplishment when you complete them.

yes that seems to be the best idea, to pick something and stick with it no matter what. my main problem is that i am incapable of picking something. should i spend 3-4 years pursuing higher education in something that interests me (maybe compsci or finance) under the assumption that the degree will actually be worth something (i'm not american so it's not really that expensive to study, it's just time consuming) or should i just take the first full-time job that i get offered and start from there?

that girl is literal perfection, i'd kill a thousand whito*des and destroy western civilization by myself if it meant tasting one of her wet farts

i'll post 1 more as a final bump

Thats hard to say. Some people benefit from university more than others. I feel like it really depends on what you can see yourself getting out of each option.

Didnt read a word.

Fapping tp your pick rigt now

I was literally the same as you 2 years ago. I got bored of NEETdom and started going to uni, i'm now in 2nd year of my economic degree.

Still virgin at 23 yo, but i made a few friends and might get a job once i graduate

yeah that makes sense. i mostly got Cs and sometimes Bs in high school however i never did anything outside of the bare minimum, so i really don't know how well i'd do if i were to apply myself while at university. i am just still under the assumption that on average a degree will lead to a more prosperous future.

here's another

Edging. Can feel cum.rising
Urgghh i need a female

do you enjoy it? do you work part time in addition to studying? i'm obviously still a virgin but i don't really care about that too much, i would rather just try to make sure i can still have a decent life before it's too late.

forgot to post another

First what you need to do is get a job

Something easy, something that'll earn you money, and take up some of your time. One step at a time. My first real job was working at subway and I got it at age 19. Helped me learn how to socialize a bit better, but most importantly, got me money to do things. For example, buy a car. Buying a car, learning how to drive, and going places will do so much for your self confidence and capacity as a person

>work part time while studying full time
Do this if you can manage your time. I'm full-time uni rn with mommy and daddy's money so I'm in a really great spot but I did spend my whole time in college playing vidya and jacking off and smoking weed.
The thing about working is that you don't need to enjoy it you just have to do it. And if you do it long enough, you'll begin to enjoy parts of it and that will make it much more bearable. I had an internship with a software company and while I hate being a code monkey I do enjoy solving problems.
First you need skillz though. you probably have a huge crater in your resume. Uni is a good start but you need to apply yourself on your own.

I had to download this. Is it weird if I use it as my lock screen while I workout and get that extra test boost?

i will start applying to things and probably just make some shit up on my resume to improve my chances

i think i'm capable of doing both at the same time. i will probably try to move out as soon as possible, a change of environment might be useful so i don't fall back into my old ways while still at mommy's house. what else should i apply myself to outside of uni if i choose to go?

not weird we're freaks baby

Oh she's a suicide girl. No fucking wonder.

I'd always fap to these chicks during my teenage years. Especially hapa looking ones.

Moving out is a great boon but also comes with the responsibility of freedom. It's really easy to fall back into old habits when you're finally on your own.
As for doing things and applying yourself, what are you interested in? Digital media doesn't count because you're already a NEET. Working out and getting Veeky Forums is a step in the right direction but other activities should be a part of your life too. I'm a huge supporter of groups and meetups because being social with other people is a surefire way to A) make friends b/c you have common interests and B) develop your skills and network and learn about yourself and what you like. For example I'm a huge fan of software and network security (it's also what I'm studying) so I go to meetups and conventions in my area to learn about it and talk to others. I also like snowboarding so I make an effort to go whenever I get a chance. I enjoy camping b/c I'm an eagle scout so I try to plan a few trips every year. I'm a fan of whiskey and beer so I like to tour breweries and distilleries. I like rock climbing so I get groups of friends together and we go bouldering every few weekends. I'm trying to get into a DnD group because it's super fun. You could go to your town council meetings or join a political group. You could join your local Hash House Harriers. Learn skills, do fun stuff, whatever. Just get out of the house and do some shit you enjoy. Or at least have people over your house to do stuff.

For another example my uncle has taken up carpentry and he's been at it for a while. Not professionally but he's made chairs and tables and shit and he's networked with plenty of other woodworkers so he's gotten good in a matter of a few years.
Do anything that seems fun or interesting and even more importantly do it with a group. The main thing is that you're doing stuff and exploring your interests. This helps you grow as a person and it makes you more interesting to other people.

Wasn't this chick a hapa and no one believed her?

thank you for the advice. i do need some real hobbies that don't involve the internet, that will also help me with networking because i don't know many people. i think my plan will be to continue lifting, try to find a job asap and apply to uni for a mid year start. i still do not know what to study though, i think it will probably be comp sci or something similar as that is interesting to me and still seems like it has decent job prospects. though i will have to confirm that last part as it may be over saturated.

im kinda in the same boat, but 18.
i got super depressed and developed thyroid issues, so i dropped out in gr 12.
tried doing online this year, but havent really done anything yet, even though there are only a few months left till the school year finishes.
atleast i started working out a few weeks ago, and seem to like it so far and feel much better (no more back pain)
any advice on how to get through highschool? am i fucked?

Good call user. Straight up comp sci is overrated imo. Too many poos, not a lot of driven people, and you come out knowing 4 programming languages (which you can learn on your own) but no other skills. If I were to recommend something I'd say network engineer, IT, vulnerability management, data science, or something else like that. They're all pretty cushy in the long run and you'll get less "oh, just another comp sci kid" looks. If worse comes to worst business major is always an option or for a lot of unis you can go in undecided.

Act on your thoughts user. Your head is in the right place. You're gonna make it.

thank you, you have been very helpful. i think going in to something specialised like those you listed is better than a generic comp sci degree for sure. i'll do my best to turn things around before it's too late
