there is no reason to not try out for SEALs, if you think you re a Veeky Forums tough guy. . it is minimum guaranteed 6 figure job+ pension when you retire. all you have to do is pass their grueling 6month training course, show you re not a pussy under fire and you re set for life.
so what exactly is stopping you Veeky Forums? your monthly vag bleeing? you re dedicated to training and never quit right?
unironically will try for rangers when I finish uni
Benjamin Thompson
I have many felonies
Lincoln Morris
if you don't make it, and you're flagged as not the right person then you're a navy bitch for 4 years minimum.
Chase Peterson
Getting in is more about being unbelievably psychologically strong. Only a very selection of personality types make it past selection, and that's just stage 1.
If you're spending time on this fucking website then you've probably already the wrong personality type and will fail the course.
Luis Richardson
Because there's no point in risking my life for a government that's practically a foreign occupier at this point.
Asher Nguyen
I'm gonna try out for SEALs so I can be just like my hero Jacko "US MUHREEN" Willink
Don't know the physical requirements for SEALS but I would've tried for PJs if my eyes weren't shit
Sebastian Wright
But if I go and wash out then I'm stuck in the Navy for the rest of my contract
Jonathan Garcia
Im losing weight to go Navy EOD. Navy EOD is considered special warfare and are attached to seal teams sometimes. Basically is like offense vs defense. If you need to put a bomb on somebodies shit you call the seals, if you need to get some bombs away from your shit you call EOD. But i'll still get to do all the fun tactical shit and shoot hajis.
Sebastian Watson
hewah! :3
Justin Cook
>shoot hajis >EOD *get blown up by hajis
Matthew Nguyen
probably eventually. ill be able to def get a couple dozen or so tho before i fuck up. if youre going to defuse an IED cant you just light up anyone with a cellphone in their hand?
Brody Smith
>cant you just light up anyone with a cellphone in their hand? Those fuckers are really well hidden and can just blend in with civvies or the environment, you'd never see it coming. Just look up how many EODs get merked, shit happens like every other week.
Asher Sanders
I am going to enlist army soon, wanted to go to Airborne and Ranger school... But I read that being R/G colorblind is a disqualifier. Can any armyfags confirm this? Also am I basically fucked out of getting a good MOS as a R/G colorblind as well?
Kayden Adams
yeah i get it, but im also basically a piece of shit that no one loves so im no treally worried at all about getting blown up. ill take a year or two of adrenaline fun times and dying over living my life out alone and feeling unacomplished like i just wasted my entire life on my deathbed
Jace Powell
yes.
Jeremiah Williams
Even with an asvab score over 90?
Justin Watson
You're disabled in the eyes of the army user
Isaiah Roberts
and the army has good eyes son, unlike you.
seriously though, think about it, everything in the army is green and red, thats literally the most important colors you have to see.
Angel Lee
Attended Marine OCS wanting to eventually be a reconnaissance infantry officer. Lung collapsed during training and was flagged as a liability. Mental "toughness" was actually a negative in my case as I pushed my body beyond where I should've stopped to rehabilitate.
Don't enlist to try out for special operations unless you're willing to spend your first 4 in an infantry position. You will fail initial screening (I guarantee) and you will either be a leg, a boot, or a deck scrubber depending on branch, even with your degree.
Grayson Stewart
>so what exactly is stopping you Veeky Forums? I'm too old and not a US citizen
Ryder Anderson
Guess I'll just be a fucking hr specialist or some gay shit. So much for my 70k bonus. Fucking genetic bullshit
Jaxson Richardson
go yell at your parents for fucking you over and dooming you to shitty jobs
Benjamin Fisher
go for it, you're not alone my man.
Joshua Perry
>minimum guaranteed 6 figure job Nope.
>pension Nope.
>6month training course Nope.
Christopher Green
Lol I met plenty of guys like you in Afghan. “Hurr I don’t care if I die”
Fun fact: 7.62 rounds go straight through drywall, and the first time they cane under fire and the rounds were cracking past every single one turned into a blubbering mess who suddenly really didn’t want to die.
Also shooting people isn’t half as fun as you imagine it to be.
Kayden Cook
so i can kill people who have nothing against me? or so i can do the killing for the jews? i dont understand what are you trying to say..
Robert Robinson
>92fs >outdated
Pick one
Ryder Young
Killing people really isn't fun or ideal
Julian Jackson
Keep crying pussy lmao I bet you would beg not to get killed if someone pointed a gun at you lol What a fucking pussy
yeah no shit dummy, a fucking .380 will go through my apartment walls
Nolan Butler
Fpbp
Jordan Hernandez
Yeah so when some haji is shooting at you and your only cover is as effective as a sheet of paper I guarantee you will suddenly lose all that “hurr I don’t care if I live or die” bravado. I’ve watched it happen multiple times.
Christian Cruz
*tips*
Kayden Jackson
"I’ve watched it happen multiple times." >from a safe distance holding a coffee cuz im a massive pussy
Ryder Hill
pretty sure that is a prosthetic limb
Nolan Barnes
Whilst actually dealing with the situation and yelling at the crying messes to get out of my fucking way.
Just do wildland fire smokejumping instead. Same thing basically :^)
Kayden Morris
seals could literally raid your house in 24 hours regardless of what country you may be in
Brayden Brown
>Years of intense, top-notch training >Equipped with the best weapons and gear money can buy >Get MERKED by some goat herder with a rusty AK Why are American "spec ops" so shit?
Hudson Fisher
I too am training for an eod contact. Deping as a nuke and I don't ship until November, so hopefully I won't be so dyel by then.
I hope I make it
Ryder Smith
...
Colton Russell
Anyone have links for Jeff Nichols' programs? Apparently buying them only give you a year of access to them and I'm going to be training til graduation in 2-3 years so I can try for SARC.
Because it's not worth being a part of the military again. You only do the cool, jumping out of planes shooting guys in the face kicking down doors shit maybe 2% of the time. The rest of the 98% of the time you show up for morning formation at 0530 and don't go home until 1700 (5pm), You know what you do at work? Pull weeds, clean weapons, clean the company/team area, get bitched at because your sideburns are too long, sit around and try to look busy so you don't get assigned something to do instead.. Just because you're a "SEAL" doesn't mean you get to evade the bullshit that comes with the "Navy" part. Oh, it's your first weekend off in a month and it's a 4 day!?! Great. Oh, that new guy just got a DUI on the first night off and now were all getting called into work for a safety meeting and to pull more weeds?!!? Great.
Sure deployments are relaxed and cool, about the only nice time you get in the military really. Put pre-deployment and the training leading up to it for months gives you no time off to enjoy yourself or your family, then the time you do get between deployments and training you're doing what I typed out above, pacing around trying to look busy watching the fucking clock.
Fuck the military. You wanna do Navy SEAL shit then get strong and fit as fuck, go take a few contractor PSD courses, and go do your own missions. Only difference is if you get caught here you'll get a fair trial, 3 meals a day, and probably end up in some mental institution for 20 years. You get caught there and you end up on Al Jazeera getting your fucking throat slit.
Jayden Howard
>try for rangers
You're going to fail. I went through RASP back in 2011 and the people who just try will justify a reason to quit. Also if you're coming out of uni I hope you're coming in as an officer, it will make your time a lot easier. Remember that the 75th is no joke, and is an intense fucking climate. If I were to visit 3rd batt barracks right now I'd still feel the need to walk on eggshells... Everyone there has a big dick, and a bigger need to make sure it's known...
Connor Garcia
>But i'll still get to do all the fun tactical shit and shoot hajis.
is that what the recruiter told you? LOL
Bentley Davis
these are toys what the hell
Cooper Russell
only when you think about it homo, but when you think about it as testing your teams strength and combat readiness against theres for the highest stakes you can play for... it changes things...
Brody Sullivan
anyone with access to an airport can "literally raid your house in 24 hours"
Juan Martin
>Navy EOD is considered special warfare theres seals and everyone else. its a clear line part of being a seal.
Ayden Hill
nigga they issue jammers now.
Connor Perez
>deping as a nuke >implying theyll ever let you out of nuke
Jaxon Hall
>you can take military gear onto a commercial flight
Mason Cook
why are their pants so baggy? that just looks like it would cause more issues.
Jackson Powell
>seals
Just join the Army or any other branch. Who the fuck wants to be stationed in the middle of nowhere for 9 months every other year.
I joined the Army 4 years ago and now I'm leaving to flight school in January to fly helicopters and shit. So much better honestly.
Lucas Edwards
yeah, but they throw rescue swimmers, eod, and swcc into the special warfare part of the navy for recruitment purposes. You'll hear swcc tell chicks at a bar they're a SEAL, but youll never hear a SEAL tell anyone there a swcc.. Very clear divide, and don't delude yourself into thinking you're cooler than you are, or someone else may be keen to remind you...
Carson Jones
>stationed in the middle of nowhere french foreign legion wins that prize. sorry seals.
James King
Yes you are fucked, consider a different career path. R/G will fuck you out of any jump status anywhere ever. The lights to tell you when to jump are red and green! If you wanna kick in doors and shoot people, join the marine corps or your local LE and try to get into their special response unit...
>a lot of army and ranger units actually see more action than SEAL teams rangers setup perimeters and seals kill everything within that perimeter
Ian Hughes
Being in the Navy is low test and kills gains,
Camden Price
no its pretty much that cut and dry. you get retries if daddy's brass or some bourgeois shit
Xavier Davis
dumbfuck
Adrian Campbell
lol
Dylan Perry
If you’re brown, you’re not British. I don’t care if your mother squatted on or land long enough to shit you out and our government handed you a British passport. You are not British.
Leo Nelson
>unbelievably psychologically strong Such as? Give examples, and what do some people do to train this?
Adrian Baker
>Marcus Luttrell broke his leg and didn't quit >David Goggins broke both of his feet and shins and didn't quit >Having your hands and feet tied an being thrown into a pool >Spending hours in cold water during surf torture >Having everything on your body chafe from the sand >Staying awake and doing PT for an entire week >Having to open ocean swim off of San Clemente Island (a Great White Shark breeding ground) at night after being forced to watch a documentary on sharks in the waters off the island >1 guy usually dies in every class
Elijah Jones
guy usually dies in every class Is this because of weak CNS or accidents?
Gavin Gonzalez
Usually drowning or heart/organ failure from exhaustion, plus the occasional skydiving and weapons accidents
Logan Green
Sounds like more accidents than anything really. What is the height requirement? I've met some SEALs before and they were at least 6'5+.
Are those "retired" weapon trainer legit or do they just teach you normie basic shooting/self-defense bullshit courses?
Hunter Watson
>What is the height requirement? The shortest SEAL in history was a 5'0" turbo manlet. I've met two SEALs irl, one was 5'6'' and JACKED, the other was 6'3'' and lanky. >Sounds like more accidents than anything really. Since 2013, more SEALs have died in training than in combat, accidents are pretty much just accepted as being a cost of training. >Are those "retired" weapon trainer legit or do they just teach you normie basic shooting/self-defense bullshit courses? You're not gonna learn any spec ops shit from them unless you shell out a fuckton of money, and even then it won't be nearly as good as actual military training.
Jason Martin
oh and anyone seriously considering becoming an SEAL or other SOF, check out jeff nichols on the tube
Bentley Ramirez
The military blows penis and i cant wait to get out. If you're unsure if you could make it to cool guy shit, pick an intel job and dont be a pussy. There are more fun opportunities than humping 60jm a day with 70lb rucks.
Ryan Johnson
I wanted to but I have no consistent work history, even less record of where i've lived the past seven years, a few stupid things burned into my forearm that look like attention cuts, a criminal record which literally was just a handful of weed charges, and was homeless through my teen years due to a vapid helpless incompetent spoiled whore for a mother who spent my life trying to get rid of me. Despite my 98th percentile on the asvab, even the marines don't consider me a good investment.
Dylan Carter
>The shortest SEAL in history was a 5'0" turbo manlet. >I've met two SEALs irl, one was 5'6'' and JACKED, the other was 6'3'' and lanky. That's insane. I would have assume that the best would always be tall due to better reach and strength and that you are going against other tall opponents in missions. I would have never guessed they accepted short people.
>You're not gonna learn any spec ops shit from them unless you shell out a fuckton of money, and even then it won't be nearly as good as actual military training. I thought as much.
I'm 29 and in better shape than I was previously before, and with my mental fortitude getting stronger each year. I've always been aggressive and I have somewhat of a problem with someone having authority over me. Can they still accept me or do they truly go by the cut off age of 28?
Gabriel Miller
>I would have assume that the best would always be tall due to better reach and strength and that you are going against other tall opponents in missions. Yeah, tall guys are better at running and swimming, but manlets are better at calisthenics because of their manlet leverages, plus they generally don't get injured as much as the big guys do from running on sand. >Can they still accept me or do they truly go by the cut off age of 28? They sometimes make exceptions up until 30 on a case-by-case basis, but you'd have to talk to a recruiter to find out.
Aiden Scott
Most SF are manlets desu
Easton Scott
>I have somewhat of a problem with someone having authority over me
Any time, I'm an autist and know more about this shit than anyone should
John Thomas
I'm pretty sure every country has had someone get merked off by a rusty ak wielding goat herder. Stop acting like it's mind blowing.
Liam Rivera
Similarly, is anyone here from UK and in Army/Air/Navy?
About to graduate bachelors mech eng and the salary/prospects seems pretty miserable desu, I feel like I got memed hard by thinking I’d be making decent money. I’ve considered seeing if I can go straight to officer but not sure yet.
