I love my deadlift day, but I must eat always a shit ton to pull even 4 plate. Dunno, squats and bench press are okay even on a empty stomach, but deadlifts fuck me up completely if I don't eat big meals before that.

What lift or combination of lifts can be substituted for deadlifts? I herniated a disc doing deadlifts, came back to them after a year, and tore my rhomboid major. Clearly I am too autistic for this lift, so what can I do?

Deadlifts work a little of everything mang. Even biceps if you're an underhand grip pleb. A lot of muscles are being used when your form is is on point. Your entire back, lower back, shoulders, forearms, triceps, hamstrings, glutes, a little quads.
You seem very upset that people on this board achieved something very achievable.

i have a question. i think I'm just being autistic but people in this thread have me paranoid about popping a disk.
i mean, i've never had my back hurt or felt like i was bending it weird, and i had my form checked by a pt although it was when i was first starting.
is there some sort of sign of pain if you're doing it wrong? i feel like people would tell me if my form wasn't ok though but yeah again just feeling suddenly paranoid
