I'm waiting for your cyoa
CYOA general - /cyoag/
For Nightmare, it could easily be read as They Come overriding the real world assault for avoiding them in sleep; which also makes Always feel like free points. It's easy to guess the intention was that avoiding the nightmares stacks real world attacks with the ones from They Come/They're Here.
Cross Dressing is a bit confusing for anybody with blurred gender identity. (Isn't it a standard of /d/ that we like being guys, but want to be The Little Girl for sexual purposes?)
At the very least, there should be something about the Interaction between Physical Change and Metamorphosis/Shapechanging/Futanari.
I'd go with "You may be a hermaphrodite, but must have the genitals and secondary sex characteristics that make you uncomfortable to exibit." I think I would make it into a blanket rule that if a drawback can't apply to you, part of the ring's power fades.
Fully Equipped should probably say something about what happens with the buttplug if you're abused. If they take it out, does it still count for your time?
Urethra Play sounds like it should have a * for consequences.
Under Bondage Sleep it seems unfair that there's no advantage at all to taking multiple subparts. Besides, toys could stack with either of the others.
Permanency should probably require at least one other disadvantage.
I use this in my build to make a ring with Permanency and No Breaks and a couple minor ones to get Invulnerable and Welfare Leech.
Then I make a second ring with about 50 points worth of advantages, including Unaging. I set it to take me back to 18, and when I get there I can take it off to take a vacation from sexual torture for a while, then put it back on to go back. Half on half off till the end of time. Metamorphosis to change my shape completely, and sleepless so I net get more time even though I take the whole bondage capture complex and bondage equipment complex and have to waste time with that.
8/10, some neat ideas, would fap again.
Oh, and I might make several more rings with just unaging and pro-choice on them, and fully random for drawbacks. Pick to be relocated to the city I'm in, mail them around to old friends.
tl;dr, 'cause I'm not reading four posts about how you whacked it to some text.
There is a highly small chance you added something that could be useful to future cyoas, but it's hidden.
Fire and Steel and Lamia Sorceress (mental magic then physical magic). The third choice is hard.
Apocalypse Me to be an unaging scrap ranging magic slinging adventurer I think.
Blinds were Fire & Steel, Demon Maid, and Prestidigitation. Went for "safe" picks because most of the options looked like they could end up being pretty dangerous. Got pretty lucky with the fairy at least, immortality AND a neat companion.
I'd keep Fire & Steel and go for Apocalypse Me. I don't think a full-body replacement is very appealing with this option, but the crystal should work with "power" armor and some other accessories as long as they are touching.
Third pick is a tough call. I could keep the Demon Maid, she would probably be better at playing scavenger than cleaning house, its her job to "tend my every need" after all. I could also take one of the more powerful magic options (NOT prestidigitation). Lamia Sorceress and Spacial Seer both have their ups and downs.
Think I'll choose the Lamia. From a practical standpoint she's probably the worst of the three options, but I love my snek even in dom form.
Physical magic first btw. Telekinesis is always useful, and I can turn things to metal for my fairy to melt, even "upgrading" common metals to things more suitable for a given purpose. In the post-apocalypse tech-heavy world I sort of expect at least some dangers will be mechanical in nature, making mental magic less reliable.
I usually don't go for the more troublesome options like Apocalypse Me, but it offers eternal youth (assuming I don't want to be a hunk of metal anytime soon) and be-the-girl, so it's worth it.
It's an old, pretty much dead CYOA. If you wanted to make a remake/update of it on your own I don't think anyone is going to stop you. I'd appreciate it myself actually.
Just be careful adding too many "light" drawback options because those points can really add up if someone is serious about making a practical build. For example, "collar" is already a no-brainier choice in most builds because it doesn't actually hinder you.
Oh, and if you do go over it, re-write that bit about stacking rings in the instructions. I knew what it wanted to be intuitively (you can't use the same drawbacks to pay for different perks at the same time), but trying to figure out what it was actually saying took like 20 minutes it was so roundabout.
To the guy in the last thread who said his favorite waifu CYOAs were Harem user's: I'm sure this entire community appreciates you for having to suffer this again.
