Old and new players alike are welcome! You, my friends, guide the leaders of the United Systems Republic, the newly established human nation that has united the countries of Terra Nova. Ready to face the future together, we march ever onwards and upwards! Previously:
From the moon Terra Nova, mankind has returned to the galaxy after lying low for centuries. In 1242 After the Exile we established our first extraterrestrial colonies. We continued to expand, which led to a short clash with the mighty Ra'ktun Imperium - with the aid of the Omicron Federation and P'gar Theocracy we were able to sign a white peace, but our vulnerability was exposed. In 1261 the nations of Terra Nova formed the United Systems Republic, joining our governments, economies and militaries in order to protect our colonies. Since then we've grown stronger and expanded and now control 24 star systems with 20 colonized planets. It is now 1282 and the Ra'ktun Imperium has grown stronger after a successful war against a rival empire. For the time being peace reigns across known space, but for how long? >Population:980 mil. (37% white,19%kaichou, 19 % chink,9%pajit,9%mideast,2%ramki, 2%darkskin,2% pacharnati) >Continents:Aymsland:56% Eyerdar:33% Veita 5%, Ocras 4% Colonies - 3% >Agriculture:9/10 >Resources:9/10 >Manufacturing:8/10 >Trade and services:9/10 >Treasury:8/10 >Political stability:9/10

Evan Garcia
Been thinking about it a bit and we should really try to assimilate the Elgaan by offering them knowledge. We should open up our school for history to them in exchange of them opening theirs too. I'm sure they're the kind who would love to start of with a scholar alliance and then try to have us protect them against agressive people kindda like the Omnicron could have done. heck if we manage to subjugate the Ra'ktun we could create an Empire with multiple nation/alliances.

What technologies should we focus on developing? Pick one (extra results) or two(split results) A.Civilian tech(things that raise the standart of living - medicine, consumer goods and so on. A happier population that would grow faster) B.Military tech(the development of new weaponry and equipment for non-space forces) C.Industrial technology(improve production of all sorts) D.Space technology(anything related to space travel - infrastructure, shipdesigns, communications etc.)
Evan Harris

Nah don't worry to much, looking at the data last thread white % seems to be rising and anyhow most of the other races are in separate ex-nations or district I guess.
Dylan Collins
Equal rights are guaranteed to all, regardless of the circumstances of one's birth. Voting and running for office is a privilege, however, reserved for those who have willingly served their 2 years time in the Militia. Different demographic groups mostly stick to the model that was before the Unification and colonies tend to be settled by one group predominently. The NPU was the most multicultural nation before teh Unification, home to pajit, ramki, pacharnati, darkskins and hibibi. They've primarily settled the Siddhar system and its terraformed garden world, Siddhar Prim. Still, a thousand years of differences have not been forgotten overnight.
Lucas Campbell
A&C Medical technology and robotics have advanced a lot in recent years, automation displaces unskilled workers in many fields - thankfully our population is not that high and we've got the colonies, free and quality education. Still, among those who haven't adapted there is discontent over lost jobs, as unemployment has become an issue in some parts of Terra Nova for the first time in many years.

Nolan Cooper
>H.Diplomacy & War Let's create an alliance education plan with Elgaan. Make them pay schools for tutition in our systems and we give the money for the tutition of unemployed people who have been in the militia or womens. It would benefit our relation and solve our problems regarding unemployement.

E - space recruitment drive Most unemployed factory workers would fit well in the merchant marine, for instance. Some may become crewmen in the warfleet, some can work in space stations. The colonies could always use more people as well - we'll be putting the masses to good use! It's bound to take some money to accomplish, but this project will be worth it overall.

they don't have borders against them. There's no reason for them to join the war, in fact they're more likely to stay neutral or betray the Omni and the Lyuwen and i have absolutely no problem with that outcome as long as they fight the Ra'ktun which are our main threat. Having our allies fight a war so that they don't reap the rewards is just gravy.
Isaac Wright
A status report on our military forces: >Navy:35 corvettes, 27 destroyers, 15 cruisers, 2 battleship
We have alliances with the Lyuwen and Omicron, but the other civilizations so far have declined joining. The Ra'Ktun are licking their wounds after the last war they fought, pacifying the conquered provinces and rebuilding their forces. The Ra'Ktun Imperium is still the largest and most powerful civilization we know of - they control a hundred star systems with dozens of colonies, hundreds of strong ships and billions of subjects.

>A The colonies will revolt when they see we're attacking. This in turn will cause aliens to join in our fight as we're leading the fight. We're going to have to make use of our space marines.
Cooper Fisher

Grayson Wright
Okay change my vote to B since we got to grow stronger
Zachary Flores
We'll try to secure more alliances, but will we be able to enlist help from these xenos? Roll a 1d100 for negotiations
Carter Jones
We won't get much out of B, in fact we'll los the opportunity to strike when they are losing balance Inky. I know how it is when you declare a war, you always get doubt about how "is this the right moment" but we almost always fucks up and they get the initiative.

I still think it's not the right time to act. Also if we get attacked we have a better chance for the aliens to see the Ra'kun are after blood. I think we should improve our relations with the Ra'ktun next turn so they delay their attack with us if we trade with them. This allows us to increase our strength and population. Also I think we should a government supported baby boom to increase our population at a faster rate allowing us more soilders to fight.
Austin Lee
I think we won't have a choice because we lost all our allies and they probably declared war on us. The ship has sailed.
Logan Thomas
"Mr. President, urgent report - the Ra'Ktun fleets have attaked the Omicron capital system of Maoo'da. A quarter of all Omicron ships are already lost and Ra'ktun ground forces are now fighting on the surface. No Ra'ktun forces have intruded upon our territory yet, sir. The Lyuwen haven't reacted either and the Imperium has released a statement that this is an answer to a diplomatic affront that the Omi caused and that the Imperium's fight rests with the Federation only." Military command is summoned. How shall we react? A.Send forces to aid the Omi B.Put all systems on full alert, all ships at the ready, mobilize reserves and prepare for a defensive C.Attack the Ra'ktun territory D.Try to get the other civilizations to help the Omicron Federation E.Other

Kayden Ortiz
>C.Attack the Ra'ktun territory >D.Try to get the other civilizations to help the Omicron Federation we need to weaken them while their 1rst fleet is occupied.
Ayden Bailey
C and D If we attack their territory the Ra'ktun will have to pull back or at least remove some of their ships to defend aganist us. This will allow the Omni to chance to get their breath and will show we'll stand up against the Ra'ktun While at it let's get the aliens to help us.
Cameron Gray
A and D. Oldfag checking in.
Alexander Fisher
The omni never helped us defend our territory in a war as far as i remenber.
Kayden Lee
They did, along with the P'gar. Without their aid victory against the Ra'ktun would've been much harder back then(before the governments united)
Austin Adams
That's futher than i can remenber/care, i still don't care about thoses xenos that much. Either way attacking them directly will yield few positive results compared to attacking them where it hurts i believe.
Tyler Brown
C and D
Nathan Diaz
C&D We'll take the initiative and attack the Ra'ktun ourselves with all we have while getting support for the Omi from other places. Our fleets are ready, give me 3 rolls now - one for our fleets, one for our diplomats and one for the Omi - high is good for us in all three

Dylan Taylor
I think my curse like to skip to person to person and if anons don't roll out of fear, a worst doom befall us all.
Ryan Gomez
well it's obvious that if we don't roll at all we'll have a greater problem than rolling a 1 which is not having a civ at all.
Jeremiah Taylor
The Omicron government evacuated from the capital along with the remainder of their fleet. The P'gar Theocracy has thrown in their support, as have the United Lyuwen Systems - we're not sure what's going on with the Djishin Commonwealth and the Miwaraki Union though.
Our fleet assembled and warpjumped to the nearby Imperium system of Ugriend - the Ra'ktun expected us. Immediately upon emerging, our ships have come under attack! The enemy seems to be at least equal in numbers. We've got 35 corvettes, 27 destroyers, 15 cruisers, 2 battleship - casualties are at 5% right now.

Sebastian Gray
C If we retreat they go after us we need to push through they won't be excepting that . But remember this is going to be a long war we can't risk being trap and lose our fleet. We got to push through and cause as much damage as possible.

Initial estimates were wrong - the enemy is superior in numbers! Were that the only problem we could manage, but their crews are experienced and their ships are stronger than ours. They employ carriers that launch attack fighters, fast enough to avoid larger ship-to-ship weaponry and capable of attacking the weak spots of our vessesl. Casualties are at 20% now and we haven't managed to punch through the enemy encirclement, we're now half-enveloped A.Surrender while we can save our men B.Retreat C.Hold positions D.Keep attacking! E.Other strategy

E.Use debris to destroy the Fighters and hold our positions. I'm not sure how strong thoses alloys are but i'm sure that if a fighter hit a bed in mid air while flying it'll be a rude awakening for the pilot and most likely very disorientating. Small ship have no place here.

We lost one of our two battleships in the battle as it sacrificed itself to cover our retreat. The debris field was able to deterr enemy fighters and our fleet was able to pull away and warp jump back to the Ambukh system. We're left with 20 corvettes, 19 destroyers, 11 cruisers, 1 battleship after the battle of Ugriend.
The Ra'ktun have taken several Omicron sysems already. P'gar fleets have arrived at the fronts.

Daniel Foster
A We need to give the aliens allies some time to get their fleets. Also on the side we could try to send a few small ships and they cause just chaos like raiding some planet systems freeing the other aliens under the Ra'ktun and arming them. Help cause a revolt in the Ra'ktun lands.

Jason Gomez
youtube.com/watch?v=z5oDh7o3a00 The Ra'ktun have unleashed their mighty dreadnaught-class spaceships, massive in size and power. Their fleets have conquered Lawak, the United Lyuwen Systems have capitulated. Most of the Omicron fleets have been destroyed, the P'gar have taken a lot of losses as well. Smaller Imperial fleets conducted raids on our outlying star systems - Jayug and Wersten were hit hard. Now a large enemy fleet has jumped into the Ambukh system! Most of our forces are stationed here - in the past month since the war began we've finished a few ships and rearmed some merchant vessels as well - our fleet stands at 30 corvettes, 21 destroyers, 12 cruisers and the flagship Atanius. The enemy fleet that just arrived and will be in firing range within two hours has 1 dreadnaught, 4 battleships, 16 cruisers and 20 destroyers. The Ambukh system has one fairly small colony on a tundra planet. A strong space fortress protects it along with our fleet and we have planetary fortifications and ground troops as well.
A.Hold positions, pray for reinforcements B.Retreat, live to fight another day - we can't risk our ships C.Take time to evacuate the population(will take a couple of hours)
