Therefore, I refuse to not use them. Same as running the Azra'il with HMG as a Blackjack until the proper models come out. In that vein, what could I run them as when playing a Sectorial such as USAriadna and MRRF?

William Williams
Foxtrot sniper, grunt sniper, really any profile with a sniper rifle. Give him a green beret and you're good.
Blake Nelson
Apparently this thread isn't good enough because it has PanO in the OP. I say we post in both for shits and giggles.
Jaxson Hernandez
Ariadna vanilla is just fine to play.
Isaac Perez
This thread is awesome because of that fucking table!
Noah Garcia
neat, any more shots with that chopper in them?
Christian Hill
One question:
Are Ariadnan HI affected by the Immobilised rule when hit by E/M ammo?
Asher Nelson
Seeing as the non-hackable rule only states hacking attacks are affected I would say that they are still effected as it's the result of a BS affect.
Nicholas Ward
Hmmm...that doesn't really make much sense. I mean veteran kazaks maybe if they used exoskeletons for load bearing, but moblots? All they have is body plate and a helmet.
Ryan Cooper
I'm actually on the fence about keeping the long barrel and I might just snip it off.
Couple questions: Best way to use Jacques? Best way to use a single Wulver? Am I a dumb as for spending 100+ points on Blackjacks?
Dylan Wood
Don't, sniper Spetznaz is phenomenal and shotgun Spetznaz does the rifles job better
Justin Collins
Forgot about the rest:
1) Jaqcues is a cheapish camo Lt with an underestimated gun. He can either be essentially a pseudo tank Hunter with his camo molotok or just be a pretty safe Lt.
3) no, blackjacks are great. I haven't tried three of them but two seems like a breeze since the T2 sniper is an excellent ARO piece.
Camden Watson
I have all three models. And so I pray one can be an LT
Eli Gray
did the kickstarter exclusive models ever get released?
Dominic Wright
I would bet money that they can be in the Kazak sectorial.
Christian Gray
I thought Moblot had some assisted movement servos?
Dylan Ward
I can't see anywhere it says that. Though it would make some sense why they get 4-4 movement instead of 4-2 like others in ARM 3. can you link or provide a reference?
Colton Hernandez
not yet, as far as I know.
Nathan Gonzalez
Hey, stupid question.
I'm going to be playing in the Rescue mission out of HS3 this weekend. The one where you have to synch a civvie and get them back to your DZ? I can't find how fast a civvie actually goes; if I synch them with a bike troop, do they keep up with the bike?
How fast are civilian models?
Brody Hall
I thought it was in the 2ed HS book. I'll look.
Nathaniel Powell
4-4.
Can't sync with impetuous or rem.
Jayden Price
Ah, under that specific scenario, I think they can. Specialist troops can synchronize 2 civilians, all other troops can synchronize 1. That seems to imply that an impetuous troop could synchronize. Specific scenario rule trumps general rule.
Kevin Watson
Wulvers make great HI doorkickers. They're mobile, tough and deadly at short range. Send them up the board and shoot/stab/grenade people in the face.
Brandon Mitchell
Other troops *able* to declare Synchronize Civilian can have only one Civilian in such state.
Sorry, I don't think you are correct in this case.
Ayden Sullivan
>specific rule trumps scenario rule i know thats a warhammer thing, but it's it started explicitly in infinity?
Landon Rogers
Not that I recall.
Hunter Peterson
It *has* to work that way (specific trumps general), otherwise there are scenarios which don't work. For example, (since we're talking about H-S 3), the "Inner Area" rule out of the Engineering Deck mission limits the ability of AD troops to deploy using AD; regardless of your actual level of AD, you can't deploy using AD 3, 4, or 5.
The general rule for AD is the one found in the N3 rulebook. The specific rule is the "Inner Area" rule. The specific rule trumps the general rule when you're playing the Engineering Deck mission.
If the specific rule *didn't* trump the general rule, you could just point to the N3 rulebook, tell your opponent "fuck you" and drop an AD troop onto the board anyway.
Jordan Ortiz
True, but in the situation mentioned (rescue) there is no such specific rule.
Jeremiah Foster
that makes sense, but it could also be explicit rule trumps general rule, as one scenario explicitly mentions AD, but the other doesn't explicitly mention rems or impetuous. also look at inferior infiltration which RAW can infiltrate in the opponents deployment zone of specific trumps general
Julian Hill
This thread seems slightly more active. Rate my list.
Jacob Turner
Wildcat links without spitfires make me unhappy. You should also find a way to fit an assault hacker in there if you're using multiple Morans, normal hackers aren't great at actively fucking with the enemy.
Michael Stewart
I'm used to playing a HRL + Spitfire Wildcat link, but this time I want to try something more defensive and less SWC hungry.
I usually find myself with not enough hackable targets and CLAW programs alone don't really seem worth it. I prefer a general HD, even without remotes.
Aiden Collins
Bolts or Bagh-Mari?
Joseph Reyes
Nisse.
Cameron Parker
Man, can't wait for the Svalarheima sectorial and the inevitable Nisse link.
John Hernandez
Linked? Bagh-Mari.
Nisse seem a bit expensive for a link. A Haris maybe, but it would be a bit like a Moira link: most of your points in bunched-up 1W models. And Nisse don't even have ODD, just Mimetism.
Liam Scott
I dunno, might be fun.
Julian Jackson
Can we choose one of the two threads and use that one? Jeez.
Kayden Howard
So, I'm trying to come up with a colour scheme for my new YJ stuff. With the ISS starter especially, I kind of want to go for a police feel, but most references I've been able to find are either black, which I find a pain in the ass to paint, or white, which I'd fear would end up looking like storm troopers. I've only really got a decent amount of paint on my Guijia so far, which I started before the ISS stuff came out. It's red.
tl;dr, YJ colour scheme with futuristic police vibe, what do? :(
Xavier Davis
Help, I need the fluff books :(
Samuel Clark
Paint it blue.
Ethan Reed
I'd go with Dark Blues with occasional White. Mix your white with a light grey.
Matthew Russell
Dark Navy blue, with bright yellow details.
Alexander Adams
Give it a shot in a casual game, but Nisse are too fragile and expensive to spam IMO.
Andrew Gomez
I think HMG is a mistake for the Hellcat, but the rest looks good.
Owen James
Another color scheme question here. Thinking of painting my new Onyx Army with different schemes for each race. Went with Blue/Orange for the Sygmaa (evil Tooha), Orange/White/Black for Batroids and other Remotes and Original Green for Shasvastii. Don't know how to paint the Umbraa, since I don't like the original Red/Black. Any suggestions?
Logan Parker
Maybe something like the GW C'tan feller with the NMM stuff going on?
Lincoln Walker
Do you mean this guy here?
Grayson Reed
I painted them white and Gold, full on hero paladin mode.
Christian Walker
Yeah.
Joshua Brooks
Has anyone read Red Rising?
Umbra could be the "Golds" in EI "society"
Luis Scott
Boarding Shotgun or Combi?
Adam Wilson
NMM is really hard to make look good in person.
Jeremiah Ortiz
Usually shotgun over anything else, but a surprise heavy weapon can go a long way.
Tyler Powell
Shotgun if you really want to kill a guy, combi in suppressive fire if you want to be an annoying shit on the reactive turn. Spitfire if you want to slaughter dudes and aren't afraid of the SWC cost.
Adam Rogers
Shotguns are a great way to remove bunched order spam too.
Cameron Brooks
I know. If you're following a direct tutorial it's not so bad.
William Anderson
When doing a coordinated order do the models taking part have to be within a certain distance of each other? Reading the part in the rulebook doesn't specify so I assume I can have dudes across the table sync their steps.
David Cox
Nope no distance, can be anyone on the table.
Camden Perez
Anywhere is fine.
Remember no sync models anymore, so Dr. Worm gets left behind.
Kevin Thomas
Thinking about getting into this game.
How does USAriadna play? Please ignore any dogfaces, I won't be running them.
Julian Taylor
USAriadna are pretty flexible. They have good access to most aspects of the game, with the notable exception of hacking, and remotes (which is kinda nontrivial in a lot of respects. Both of those things are great), although they do get Dogfaces, your terrible taste aside.
At this stage they don't have all their sculpts because they're quite a recent addition to the game, but the figures themselves tend to be flexible, and good value.
The key thing to remember in Infinity is that most armies can field most things and play in most ways. The factional differences are as much list differences as major rock/paper/scissors design like Warmahordes or 40k.
You could get an army together for between $100-200. The USAriadna starter box is particularly good, as it comes with starter scenarios, dice, rules, some terrain, etc.
Jason Reed
If you bought fom MM today you could get it even cheaper during their deal. 60 bucks or the set, desperadoes airbourne and hardcase discount you would just need a grunt box and you would be set.
They are still missing a ton of sculpts though :(
Aaron Roberts
>Teased what people assume were blackjacks >Shown gencon model for Unknown Ranger >Still no word on more Mavericks and Marauders
It's like they intentionally mess with USAriadna players.
Isaac Watson
Like Americucks don't deserve that.
Parker Foster
Heard from a reliable source (he knew about the starter box 8+ weeks ago) that there will be a box of Minutemen AND a Marauder HRL blister before the end of the year.
Jeremiah Baker
I was absolutely sure the Unknown Ranger was going to be a cowboy as in the Lone Ranger, but he turned out to be a riot cop.
Im honestly incredibly dissapointed.
Charles Allen
If your speaking English, there are good chances you owe burger land for your freedom.
Leo Nelson
Dude. Buy the source books then. They already give you every rule for free ( and not *free* like GW bs where you need to buy the books for the actually usable stuff). You want the sauce pay for it and support the company
Juan Powell
Current Chinese police are often also military police. Just camo that shit up
Noah Jones
>have expectations of any kind >be disappointed Do you see a pattern here?
Alexander Ward
>Teased what people assume were blackjacks people are dumb, it look like the fuck huge Haqq HI and turned out to be just that.
Andrew Morris
You forget the sniper shot that looked like a box with tubes coming from it that came out a week before the Al Fassed pic.
Jace Bell
I think some people were just hoping for some long delayed US stuff.
Logan Richardson
He is more Captain America than a riot cop.
Wyatt Torres
Also the non-Gencon model could have a cowboy hat and fanning the hammer on that pistol.
Landon James
when i see ARM 4, i don't really think sort and jeans with scarf desu. with any luck they'll release a cowboy character, i think Jesse Mcree would be a good name
Jeremiah Sanchez
Are you the guy who keeps asking?
Seriously, this company is amazing with free rules, army builder, ITS support, etc.
Buy the fluff, it's awesome and worth it.
Noah Sanders
And I love the Shield look, and would have been disappointed if he was a cowboy. There are already desperados for that, why would a Ranger be a cowboy?
Jackson Hughes
>Marauder HRL >Blister Well that's a shit load of fuck.
Charles Turner
You'll probably get a rifle, molotok, shotgun and sniper in a box set, so you get the blister to complete the link, which is pretty typical for CB
Ethan Lewis
His fluff mentioned a shield. I'd be disappointed if he looked anything other than WW2 era Cap. I only wish the pose was a bit more "heroic".
Ryan Green
HMG costs the same as Spitfire in SWC on a Hellcat though and you could get in more favorable range bands. Especially if you forgo Combat Jump for Airborne Infiltration. Midfield spitfire is better, but for a walk-in HMG seems to make more sense. And if you flub the roll it's easier to get into good range again.
Lucas Stewart
They're not as sneaky as other Ariadnans, but they're a lot tougher. ARM3 on a basic 10pts troop is insane.
They're low-tech and direct. Still have some tricks up their sleeves though, but their schtick is being surprisingly hard to remove with non-viral ammo.
Very few models released still, which also means almost everything new Ariadna gets is for USARF.
Grayson Barnes
bump
Ryder Adams
USARF really needs a high-tier camo option added to the roster. Foxtrots and hardcases are nice, but it feels like an area we lack in something that can stack up some bonuses.
