>ORC box will come out before Marauders or Minutemen >no one will play them anyway, they're still ORCs
Mason Cox
I would if they look good
Jonathan Cruz
I don't know who to bump.
Liam Collins
Miniature Market has a "Christmas in July" sale going on. Not too much Infinity. A good deal of USAriadne stuff, it seems.
Dylan Sullivan
Kind of glad. I would've been pissed if they sold the MAF starter box or the N3 book were on sale literally a day after I ordered them.
Elijah Anderson
What's wrong with the other thread?
Adam White
it has PanO in the title image.
Oliver Perez
Koni posted a better version of the cover art
James Howard
I have bad news about that N3 book being on sale...
Jason Young
I must've missed it when I scrolled through the Christmas in July sale.
>mfw I'm perfectly calm.
Bentley Brooks
It was the daily deal yesterday. It's ok user, just breath.
Ryder Ramirez
Thanks. I almost had to fly to the middle of Americanistan and start yelling for nearly no reason.
Logan Diaz
>Ongoing Hype Edition
Hype is dead because Beasts of War only release shit videos, I don't want to watch Killian get stomped again or learn the basics.
Give me Al Fasid profile, or new Dire Foes info, or info on the Caliphate / Invincible Army sectorials.
Dominic Rodriguez
Someone's salty ;^}
Isaac Sanchez
I love you.
Hudson Myers
Lol.
They still have a month before release.
They aren't going to spoil the whole thing.
Hype is very much alive.
Hunter Price
Got two USA starter boxes :D
Ethan Rogers
Orc Haris baby.
Jack Cook
The Icestorm one looks great.
Logan Williams
Damn that looks great.
Lincoln Parker
>12 minute instructional video on folding paper
hype is dead
Eli Watson
But if you comment you can win icestorm, usarf or ca starter armies...y'know, things not relevant to Red Veil at all.
Isaiah Edwards
Man I feel like USARF should be called the unknown army..
Like I get it we got Desperadillydoos a Foxytrot and The Unknown Shield but come the fuck on where are the minutemen and marauders >tfw they release blackjacks I mean I want them and I'm sure they'll be boss. But I swear to fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck I just want muh fucking links and shit you Portuquerian Quadroon Bindlebandicoots.
Hudson Gonzalez
Where can I find examples of a muslim army, around 10 models 200pts. I asked about it on the corvus forums, but got the usual "buy what you want" crap. I have a limited budget and don't want to buy any dead models or stuff I may never use.
Jace Bennett
> complaining about a 12 minute video to help new players sounds like you are already dead
Adrian Campbell
it's been videos for noobs for 3 days straight now, it would be nice if they would mix it up a bit.
Jaxon Russell
Bit hard to see what could they possibly offer to vets, considering the new/reworked expansion is pretty recent.
What sort of haqq list? Vanilla or sectorial?
Isaac Bell
>I have a limited budget and don't want to buy any dead models or stuff I may never use. Pretty much everything is useful though. And some stuff that is not useful in vanilla may be super good in sectoral. Right now Zhayedan is kind of meh.
They revealed that the Red Veil starter is going to be about 180pts. You could wait for that if you can split it with someone else and add some specialists, like additional Ghulam or the support pack, swapping up the Zhayedan in it for a Djanbazan or something.
Or you could use the Army Builder, punch in things from one of the starters and fill in the rest with what looks good and/or fills up your Core or Haris links if you're going for a sectoral Eg. Bahram + Muyib box should put you in a good spot, although you're not going to use everything from both.
There aren't usually universal lists for stuff to take for Infinity like there are for other games. There was a guy a few threads back getting really angry about it by the way.
Brody Sullivan
For the most part the game doesnt really have any dead models. So get what you like is a fair advice. Haqqislam is about to get a brand new starter box in Red Veil, so if you can split that box with a Yu Jing player it would be a good start.
I recommend going through an online store catalogue and play around in Army6
Eli Turner
Are Haramaki getting resculpted?
Ethan Richardson
As cool as all the new red veil models are, I'm mostly excited about finally replacing my old ghulams with the new ones.
Also my favorite haqq redesign is the Tuareg...just not my favorite profile option.
Austin Wood
it's a special week for a starter set for new players and you are complaining about the videos being for new players... HSN3 was for the experienced players, that is why we got all those great videos...
Evan Perry
>Bit hard to see what could they possibly offer to vets, considering the new/reworked expansion is pretty recent.
We know there is a video where they discuss the new dire foes box and show their profiles because people saw it when Beasts of War fucked up and leaked it all. They could also show us the Al Fasid profile or talk about the Sectorials for these factions which have been mentioned a fair few times in relation to this box.
Cameron James
>Right now Zhayedan is kind of meh. I take you know how Marksmanship interacts with breaker ammunition? Makes him kinda glass cannon, like a number of other similar single wound, expenisve troopers, but there isn't such a relative high burst weapon that forces two armor rolls, other than plasma rifle, and that is rare and expensive.
Benjamin Bailey
They don't really need it. Keisotsu are a more dire concern.
Lucas Kelly
No, they do need it. I would prefer Keisotsus first, but the Haramaki are laughably tiny compared to the new Domaru.
JSA could use a new starter box in general, and the way the Year of YJ is going, I think there's a fair chance they might get it.
Luis Cook
>the Haramaki are laughably tiny compared to the new Domaru They happened to get unlucky and come out right before the scale changed. A bunch of units are in the same situation, just look at half of Corregidor. They're small, but they don't look like absolute shit so they're unlikely to get a resculpt until the ugly stuff is redone.
Ryder Rogers
Sup, Veeky Forums. Got browbeat into starting Infinity today, so, new player here, I guess. Picked up this unit, since the fluff I was told sounded pretty cool. What have I gotten myself into?
Anthony Young
You've gotten yourself into the Acontecimento Shock Army. They're a sectorial, which is a sort of sub-faction that can only pick from certain units in their army but can take more of those units and put them in link teams to increase their effectiveness. Bagh-Mari are rarely worthwhile in vanilla, but in ASA they make a fantastic link team.
ASA has been getting some extra attention recently since they've never been very popular, so you joined at the right time.
Dominic Rogers
I've been thumbing through the rulebook, but I am still very unclear about a number of things, but I'm sure that'll sort itself out given time. Sectorial is sorta like a theme-force if I'm getting this right? And a link team is kind of like a unit, i.e. sticking together gives you a buff? Also, which other models can I take with them? Anything that's a must-have for this army? The guy at the store had these bulky mechs that were sorta Appleseed-esque. I liked those.
Logan White
Guys, has anybody got the fluff book for N3 and HSN3?
Chase Diaz
>Sectorial is sorta like a theme-force if I'm getting this right? Yes, a theme force, which can take link teams and higher availability of their signature troops.
> And a link team is kind of like a unit, i.e. sticking together gives you a buff? Yes buffs, and weaknesses. Cool thing about infinity is that your guys react individually, bad thing about link teams is that if you react individually your link breaks.
Anything that's a must-have for this army? For ACA? Nothings really a musthave. Some units are quite good in certain missions.
I very much like the new Tikbalangs, it's a small TAG, that has great BS, mimetism, and a lovely weapon arsenal
Then there's the Aleph ally, Scylia, which is a great specialist that can take two bots with her, so she is incredible board control, and objective capture piece.
The Nagas are great objective and board control pieces. They can lock down your flanks with their mines and take objectives with forward observing/hacking.
Bulletteer armbots are a steal at 17 or 23 points for their heavy shotgun or spitfire respectively. Link those up with a hacker for supportware(hackers can buff lots of hackable units).
Adrian Campbell
Normally I'd recommend the ASA starter, but I've got a feeling it might get resculpted soon so maybe hold off. The old models have still aged pretty well though, so it's your decision. Remotes of all kinds are always useful. Nagas are on loan from ALEPH, they're very nice units as well.
As for ASA's mechs, the Tikbalang is a lighter guy with mimetism that can climb buildings and lay mines while the Dragao is larger and has access to the biggest and baddest gun in the game. They're both great.
Chase Sullivan
>Tikbalang >it's a mech, it has both a gun and a weirdly-shaped sword *and* it has an overly-complicated name. I am impressed at the amount of anime here. In all seriousness, that's pretty damn cool. Google tells me that there are two mechs to pick from for Acontrecimento; the Tikbalang you mentioned and the Dragaos. Which one should I get first? Or should I get both?
Jonathan Brooks
Dragaos for hyper rapid magnetic cannon rapeage
Brody Flores
ASA has a starter set, but it's pretty dated and I'd steer away from it for now. Like the other user said, Nagas are pretty good for what they are, Akalis Sikh commando (Sectorials combat jumper) are also good to gain upper board control. Amongst Scylla, Drakios and Teucer give the army things you'd otherwise have no access.
Hunter Sanders
Aren't tiks mediocre now though?
Eli Sullivan
No? If anything they were improved. They've got BS15, mines and climbing plus as standard equipment now.
Henry Gray
Well I remember WhineO was bitching about them when the new stats first dropped unless they were also bitching about no Toni which t b h was stupid and once again proves CB are lazy fucking spics cause I'm sure toni could exist without overshadowing regular tiks they just didn't fucking try
Jacob Phillips
Pure awesome. Bagh Mari are on of the coolest units in the game.
Your next purchase should be the ASA starter set. It's a little old but still looks great.
Landon Rogers
user, the rules are free. If you want the fluff, support the company.
Joshua Howard
The new Tikbalang is basically a slightly worse Toni that costs the same as her. Some would argue that it's slightly overcosted for what it does, but it's by no mean bad. It is, in fact, pretty good overall.
Michael King
No way, Tiks are fantastic.
Brandon Scott
Nothing is as fun as rolling 5 dice :D
Jackson Thomas
>Asa starter I cannot let that stand in good conscience. The multirifles are the old, clunky design, both Akal and Bagh-Mari look nothing like their new sculpts and most of the box has a severe case of tactical tiptoe.
Matthew Wood
The rifles are big, but I like every model in there.
Just my opinion.
Jordan Harris
Honestly, the newer editions are about 90% the same as the older editions fluff-wise, so you aren't missing out THAT much.
Owen James
Xi Zhuang and Leila Sharif are both 20pts 0swc
Right, but the original ISS starter and Su Jian were also pretty new, looked good, and still got resculpted. I'm not disagreeing that there are uglier miniatures like keisotsu or even the yj support pack that really need the update. However, I wont agree with how fine they are. Haramaki have a cool profile, but it's not a box I would recommend to any prospective JSA player.
I agree. Also, Bostria has said that the Shock Army will be getting new life this year
Cooper Garcia
Theres some sweet new stuff. I would say 50% the same.
Isaiah Hall
Source?
Also, the new ASA starter might be a year out. CB is really weird with their timelines.
I wouldn't hold off buying it just because it might get a resculpt.
Montesa looks fantastic, Regulars are solid, and would be great with weapon swaps.
Jaxson Torres
I'd have thought Xi would cost a few points more, based on the amount of good shit he has.
Joshua Foster
20 points is a great bargain.
Confirmed Zhanshi/Ghulam?
Kayden Scott
>source For the costs? BoW just posted another video on how to expand the red veil set. Bostria said the new Dire Foes, Defiant Truth, should be releasing November or October.
>SAA starter I wouldnt get the starter because I know the newer sculpts will be better. And personally, I dont like those miniatures in pose and scale. If you put them and the new Bagh Mari next to each other, you will notice a difference in quality. I havent jumped on the SAA, CHA, ISS for similar reasons. In ISS for example, it would bother hell out of me to have the new CGs in a fireteam next to the old CGs from the swc box.
But if scale and the idea of a new product doesnt bother you then by all means enjoy.
Michael Barnes
Who is that?
Juan Myers
They didnt say in the video. But Xi Zhuang is listed as Imperial Service, so most likely CG.
Man, the temptation to start a second team just keeps building. At least there's a nice, new Reverend Healer sculpt to get.
Connor Wood
Do it amigo. Get a small force to start, but having multiple forces is really great to keep things fresh for you and your opponents.
Levi Myers
Where did you hear this?
Alexander Flores
I think mayacast said something about it. The domaru were delayed a couple of times because of it.
Nathan Ross
Huh. I can see it for the males, but the females are pretty svelte.
I thought their intimidating size was a design choice.
Either way, I like it.
Brandon Barnes
So should the heavy hitters be grouped with the cheerleaders, or in a separate group? What's the best way to split groups with HI and LI like, for example, Azra'il units in QK or Blackjacks in USAriadna
Daniel Cruz
Depends. Typically, your heavy hitters want orders so they should be with all the cheerleaders. THe exception for me are TO/AD troops, who might be better of in group 2 and then brought into group 1 later.
Camden Wood
Really, the models aren't that bad except for the weapons. I super wish there was just a weapon sprue for each army you could get. Just snipping off the old guns and adding the new ones would be sweet for a lot of units.
Jonathan Cooper
How did you get browbeat into starting a game?
Austin Bennett
There is one in the Spec Ops kits and the ITS tournament kits.
Nathan Young
I don't think they do those in ITS packs anymore. But they do those with Spec Ops.
