What you interpret as "named difference in race" isn't about race at all, it's about different breeds.
Regular orcs/goblins are essentially feral dogs that combine a wide variety of abilities and attributes, while the Fighting Uruk-Hai are a specially bred caste of military core units.
So Fighting Uruk-Hai killing lesser orcs is still dog-on-dog violence, with one dog being a trained warhound and the other being a scrawny streetmutt.
I mean in countries with feral dogs it's actually better for the human and dog population to have the scrawny weak breeds killed if not wiped out.
