I have the books and im willing to provide them for anyone new to the system, as well as help with generating characters.
I expect you to be on time of course, and have at least some investment in char gen. No fancy backstories are needed since this will be a one shot.

This game will be taking place in the Dominions 4 universe and will be organized and played over Roll20. You needn't be familiar with Dominions to play, it's just serving as a setting on which to run my own game.

There are a couple house rules to the base game, but most of them comprise of new systems to make the Godbound resemble Dominions more. Key things are going to be making Pretenders revive based on the faith of their followers, meaning all Pretenders are going to be immortal unless the cults that support them are scattered, introducing Magic Sites and Gems to be used alongside Dominion to weave miracles and make Features, and finally homebrewed Low Magic

Players can expect a focus on nation building, faction interaction, and discovery

Need one more guy to round off a 5-player party

I get it, not everyone wants to follow the template. But.

D&D? What edition?

Have never actually played the system, just read the rules.

This game is now full. Thanks to those who expressed interest. If you're interested, I can add you to a waiting list if any players drop from this game, but for the time being, I do not expect to recruit any further.

Homebrew included to a point

Just send me a damn email for details people.

No, fuck off you autistic sperg. Put the details up front and save everyone's time.

how open are you to first timers with the system?

...

I'm fine with first timers. I'll help you learn the system and show you the ropes, as long as you aren't going to go back to zero by the next session.

great, i guess i'll just add you on skype, i'll try my best to not be an obnoxious new guy

This campaign is based on Ben Robbins' West Marches, which means players decide when to play, who to play with, and what to do (hence the varying schedule). The gameplay is focused on overcoming the challenges of exploring the wilderness in search of fame and fortune in a dark fantasy, late medieval setting.

If you want a more detailed summary of the game, please read this: docs.google.com/document/d/1qOrdXlyCAMPZizD4BysueGief0_S0BCC_zNhj7xw6bA/edit?usp=sharing

Are you using Perilous Wilds, or Freebooters on the Frontier?

I've read both and took some inspiration from them.

However, West Marches as a campaign concept is more about discovering a world, whereas Perilous Wilds/Freebooters is more about players creating a world as they go. So ultimately a lot of the ideas in PW and Freebooters didn't make it in, and we ended up making some different changes instead.

This game is a first time for most people, first time GMing, first timers to the system. No dragging in any drama or bullshit, be able to take it as good as you give it. We're here to have fun and piss away time with the half-arsed campaign I baked up.

Is 12pm midnight or midday?

It's important for how I translate it into my time.

Midday

Midnight

Very helpful, thanks Veeky Forums

Kek, but really P. M. means post-midnight

GM here: 1200 hours, high noon, often associated with lunch time.

It means post meridian, in fact, with ante-meridian for AM. (Technically there is no 12AM or 12PM, since you're neither before or after the meridian when you're on it.)

Don't play with this guy, his definition of a character is literally so specific that he pretty much makes them for you. There was like two dozen applications prior and he deleted them all because none fit his "definition" of a character. There's a reason why no one has joined his game this point.

There's like three applications there.

...

It's a joke

Ah. I should've seen that. Guess I've got brain problems!
