Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli where the new two-player box set does not invalidate the previous one, so just pick the one you like.
Changed wiki.infinitythegame to infinitythewiki, and I also added an offline backup for when it goes down.
Easton Jackson
Anyone have experience with a Kusinagi Haris? Seems pretty legit for a bunch of different stuff and doesn't take up my core link.
Isaiah Sanders
Custodiers are Moiras with worse melee (Moiras aren't that great at melee anyway), worse PH, and worse weapon selection. They do have +3 BTS, a Pitcher, and hacking devices. If you like Moiras, they're basically the same.
Running two in a Haris gives you access to a HD+ and an AHD with Icebreaker. Icebreaker is a 12DMG B2 program that ignores BTS and immobilizes until the end of turn (pretty good against tags, firewalls, and other high BTS targets.
They have the problem of being 35 point models that get erased with shock ammunition, even if you add a Rev Healer. Otherwise, pretty good?
John Bell
Which fields less models, Aleph or CA?
Nicholas Harris
I've been looking into starting infinity, with the red veil release are they going to be discontinuing Icestorm?
Xavier Hernandez
CA runs 4-6 tanky, high powered veterans with 4-6 sneaky, high powered specialists. Aleph runs 2-4 elites and fills the rest with mooks.
Both make viable 10 model lists, and you never want to go below 10 models.
Benjamin White
You are giving off a vibe that CA is strictly better than Aleph. I’m just looking for a 'small numbers with big numbers' kind of army.
Carter Bailey
What does that mean?
Carter Sullivan
I would not consider Myrms with Chain Rifles mooks.
Pistol kills baby.
Dylan Parker
Elite models.
Nolan Campbell
The difference is also that Custodiers are all specialists and can cast White Noise to counter their biggest weakness. And they're also all specialists. Getting a high burst weapon like a BS14 Spitfire into the mix is not a bad idea.
Owen Carter
>Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli where the new two-player box set does not invalidate the previous one, so just pick the one you like. Icestorm is literally advertised in the Red Veil booklet.
Elijah Johnson
Aleph is disgusting garbage for ugly babies. I mean, it's a perfectly fine faction, and the sectorial is considered by many to be over-strong. It's still garbage for babies.
More to the point, CA will run 10 models that are all around the 30 point mark (some 16pts some 45, maybe a high 50 or two). It's not hard to run a low order list entirely of meaty dudes.
Aleph's TAG is 120 points, almost all their HI are over 70 points, and their LI are around ~25 points. This means if you want to run a low order list, you're either running 8 25-40 point dudes with some 3pt drones, or you're running some 80 point elites with some cheapo tacbots.
Do you want 10 meaty guys, or 3 amazing dudes with mooks?
Landon Cruz
Someones triggered did achilles rambo your whole army bub?
Levi Morales
Not the salty user, but considering Myrms basically exist to give fireteam bonuses to a high value threat and force unfavorable action economy by dint of being an accompanying mob, if they aren't mooks then they're at best mooks+.
Caleb Ortiz
>Changed wiki.infinitythegame to infinitythewiki
It's worth noting that infinitythewiki includes rules clarifications/changes that aren't yet legal, such as in their list of fire teams (kusanagi + healer + custodier haris, De Fersen in magister links as a hospitaller).
so like, be careful with that shit if you are headed to an ITS environment.
Jonathan Mitchell
Hol up, you tellin me De Fersen can form the core of a magister wrecking ball now?
Gabriel Torres
Can they? If they could that would make up for DeFersen getting the shitty hacking device. but wont make up for no all magister link teams and fucking teutons...
Matthew Taylor
2 specialists in my Magister link??
Bwaaaa
Robert Baker
Got my first game of infinity coming up, 200 points, mission is Frontline, any tips?
>Hol up, you tellin me De Fersen can form the core of a magister wrecking ball now?
Not now, but at some arbitrary point in the future he should be able to yeah.
Adam Gomez
Group two looks mostly fine but I'd put a chasseur into the main group to make it 10.
Christian Foster
Unless you give one a spitfire. Then it often makes a better active turn piece than the high value threat it's accompanying.
Why are you so mad about an inferior AI?
Brody White
I got into Infinity years ago, but never had a chance to play a game due to no scene. Could barely get people to play 40k, it was all Magic and Yugioh. Fast forward to me moving, and I find a place that's active with infinity.
Everyone is playing Aleph. Fucking Aleph versus Aleph. People are selling Aleph armies because they're getting out of the game due to all the Aleph.
You know what I wanted to play? Fucking Aleph.
At least I have my catgirls to comfort me.
Lucas Cook
That's a really weird meta man.
Aleph is generally uncommon from what I've seen.
Xavier Gomez
So that's where all the Aleph players went. Good to know.
Brody Nelson
Secret plan: Assemble a force from some other faction that can beat in the face of one specific local player, or at very least do cool things Aleph has some trouble doing. Exposure may get some of them to switch...
Michael Mitchell
There's not a lot that ALEPH "can't do" other than run large lists.
Although as an ALEPH player the things that make me Jelly are:
High quality multiwound specialists with multi rifles or plasma rifles (like Dao Fei or Anathematic Hackers) Combat bots like the Rui Shi or Bulleteer that have built in repeaters for buffing Cheap core links used as ARO castles thanks to the +3 BS bonus, particularly when they have good low SWC options like Ghulam/Grunt snipers 5 point warband units with DTWs
I'm sure there's other stuff but these are the 4 that leap out at me
Line Kazaks (Rifle) Line Kazaks (Rifle) Line Kazaks (Rifle) Line Kazak (AP HMG) Chasseur (Minelayer) Hardcase (Light Shotgun) Highlander Cateran (T2 Sniper) 1 SAS (Boarding Shotgun) Tankhunter (AP HMG) Veteran Kazak (AP Rifle + Light Flamethrower)
Kill Team got me interested in skirmish sized games so I am taking the plunge with a roommate. Is this any good for a 200 point starter list?
Parker Anderson
They are good, but a combi rifle just isn't very exciting, it can't deal with heavy duty targets the way a Multi/Plasma can.
Elijah Peterson
you wot?
that's just the old model for him...
Camden Scott
quite solid list. but I rather take SAS chain rifle/assault pistol than boarding shotgun.
also hardcase rifle and vet kazak w/ T2 rifle or APHMG is worth considering.
John Gray
I just bought a Hector not even a month ago, but I'm tempted to nab another just because it's such a nice model.
Landon Ortiz
Thanks hard case rifle does seem a bit better but I'll try the vet kazak ap rifle+flamer one match to see how it goes
Christopher Peterson
im new to the game but i have been having fun with this list
Luke Foster
do you guys think its worth subbing out the missile launcher and weibing for yuriko oda and a pall bot
Kayden Sanchez
Probably not. She's pretty good and it's helpful to have someone who can fix your robots, but the ML is a powerful ARO platform and the sensor is your best counter against camo.
Isaiah Hernandez
How differently do Morat aggression force and corregidor jurisdictional play?
Landon Nguyen
Quite differently. They both love their smoke, but Morats are all about brute force, discipline and a variety of link teams, while Corregidor has great budget specialists and good camo.
James Gonzalez
Damn. That's a tough choice. I love Nomad models, but I also love brute forcing my enemies off the table. Can Nomads make lists with elite models focused on being straightforward?
Eli Collins
All armies can, but it's not the strength of Nomads. A Mobile Brigada link might be up your alley.
Luke Russell
Is Ajax packing enough hitting power to smack, say, an avatar? He's a sweet model but I've heard he seems better on paper than when actually fielded.
Owen Brown
Corregidor sure can. Just take a pair of these with Assisted Fire supportware (they're ARM3 which is obscene for a Remote) or a Mobile Brigada link. Add a Moran, Bandit or Tomcats for skirmishing/objective grabbing, a Salyut or Intruder for anti camo and you're set.
He could smack an Avatar if it was dumb enough to let him get close and he didn't get nailed by the sepsitor, but it would likely smack him right back. Hitting power has never been a problem for Ajax.
>Salyut >anti camo Do you mean Stemplers, or did baggage bots get some fancy new powers while I wasn't looking?
Connor Wood
Stemplers, right. I don't use Nomad Remotes too often, aside from a Lunokhod that sometimes doubles as a Tsyklon.
Aaron Richardson
It's alright but why a k1 combi over a spitfire? the latter is much better against everything besides heavy tags.
Jose Harris
Yes if he can get engage it he should kill it in 3 orders by himself and the avatar might wound him once in return. He also has a very good chance of dodging the avatars template weapon which is it's best close range defense since it lets him steal your units.
Active Player
65.35% Custom Unit inflicts 1 or more wounds on Avatar (2 STR) 34.78% Custom Unit inflicts 2 or more wounds on Avatar (1 STR) 7.57% Custom Unit inflicts 3 or more wounds on Avatar (Unconscious) Failures 17.29% Neither player succeeds Reactive Player
17.36% Avatar inflicts 1 or more wounds on Custom Unit (1 W) 8.04% Avatar inflicts 2 or more wounds on Custom Unit (0 W)
Just basecoated an Intruder, a Bandit and Tomcat and assembled Indigo Spec Op. What are you working on?
Ethan Hughes
Anaconda. First time painting something like a TAG
Hunter Turner
It seems that with the new tournament pack comes a new S1 camo template
Nathan Bennett
It's a Nexus operative.
Elijah Lewis
But nexus is S2
Hunter Garcia
Not in AF.
Justin Powell
When an user claims something that he don´t knows
Josiah Gomez
fucking weebs, leave, leave this place now!!
REE!!!
Colton Butler
Does anyone have any recommendations for Kuang Shi proxies? The current models look goofy to me but gotta fill them orders.
Bentley Thompson
My uncle works for CB.
Kayden Bennett
That's cool. Mine works for Batman.
Lincoln Sanders
They wouldn't change a sillouette in the next book.
That looks like some kind of rem. I would guess YJ?
Jayden Jackson
Have we seen a PanO tinbot yet? Looks like a tiny dronbot.
Nicholas Bell
When was the "Manga" supposed to come out again?
Bentley Miller
Base coating an intruder, bandit, two morans and an evo hacker.
Bentley Lee
The closest thing I can think of is jaguars with a head conversion or just using the monk models.
Josiah Morgan
Enton dime algo en galego rapas.
Connor Barnes
Assembling, basing, and base coating 200 points of Morats for Saturday.
Anthony Edwards
Fake claiming
Cooper Moore
Yeah, I'm eyeing the mobile brigada. Would it be possible to link them and have a tag as well, or would it be too point intensive?
Aiden Perez
Far too point intensive. Corregidor TAGs are cheap by TAG standards, but they're not that cheap. MB links are nearly 200 points, you should have specialists and maybe an ARO troop to support them. Don't bother with an Intruder in a Brigada pain train list, Stemplers are cheaper for anti-camo purposes.
Matthew Davis
Eso es una referencia al "Mi tio trabaja por Nintendo". Creo. That's a reference to "My uncle works for Nintendo." I believe.
Evan Murphy
Will Aleph ever get a mass resculpt? Outside of steel phalanx HI and remotes their models are exceptionally fugly considering they are quite new.
Luke Powell
C'est vrai? Intéressant. Is that so? Interesting.
Robert Long
I want to run Vedic more than the Phallus, but seeing the new post human and garuda stuff, I know that if I buy into it beyond what I already have, CB will resculpt everything, and I'll want to buy it all again for better sculpts.
Jason Cox
Solid 200 points id say you are just starting right this list will give you good practice with camo markers.
but you do have 2 irregular orders
Elijah Foster
At 400 points, but not 300.
Zachary Johnson
Yup, I anticipate one, maybe in '17.
Tyler Richardson
Looks solid.
Jose Stewart
I painted this over the weekend. Need to get the rest of the link done now
Jayden Gomez
YAY! My Operation Red Veil Pre-order is finally "processing" instead of awaiting release. I'm excited now.
Camden Brooks
It's a Tinbot, the same as on the token. Ironic considering Tinbots have no S value.
Kevin Peterson
But is a camo marker
Isaiah Kelly
Our best bet would be to wait for next year's starter box, there's a very high chance that CB will refresh the entire Vedic line (and it was about fucking time). Can't wait to see pic related model storm the midfield in full glory while dual-wielding SMGs.
Ryan Bailey
So I'll be going to my first tournament soon, two of the missions are Decapitation and Quadrant control. What JSA units would you suggest for that? I'm thinking maybe the O-Yoroi and definitely the Oniwaban but I'm not sure. Haven't played those missions with my friends that I normally play with so I don't know through experience. Any suggestions/tips?
Jaxson Allen
The morat mirror match is knightly orders.
Corregidor is, fuck I don't know, USAARF? Not really
Caleb Hughes
When blackjacks will be released?
Luke Bennett
Not anytime soon
Grayson Johnson
Just use the Azrail or Al Fasid in the mean time.
Mason Russell
>haqq got 2 completely new S5 models >USARF still has none Why is this allowed?
Christopher Carter
because fuck America. Your fat pieces of shit every one, and shouldn't even HAVE a faction. Who are you to complain about not getting all the models you want?
Xavier Harris
B-but user, I'm Russian.
Jaxson Lewis
Well then stop being in such a hurry.
Christopher Gonzalez
This model is exactly what I love in Aleph. Functional, neutral looking armor. But the majority of models look like wax sculpture adaptations of zero suit Aran drawn by a 9 year old on deviant art.
Juan Roberts
>implying the game wouldn't be vastly improved if every model wasn't basically a stripper in a catsuit with different guns and accessories.
Camden Garcia
I "finished" my very obvious Minuteman Lt. What do you think?
Ryder Phillips
This guy has taken you ages. I feel like it was 2 or 3 weeks ago I first saw him.
