I always have great fun with these threads! >Make one addition to the setting per post >Try and build on previous user's ideas >Additions that contradict previous posts are ignored >Ignore setting breaking, troll or magical realm suggestions
To start with >The 'main stage' of the setting is the crumbling, overgrown city of an ancient civilisation. The ruined buildings and streets are so large they form new terrain - slopes, cliffs, caverns and areas where water pools up into lakes or runs in rivers and streams.
All the creative people have been kicked off the board. Good luck.
Luke Foster
Your only hope is to offer some governmental situations so the /pol/tards can help flesh out your setting, user.
Oliver Price
Ancient automatons roam the wilds, carrying out their preprogrammed orders, and never ceasing in their purpose.
Dylan Cooper
the programmed orders did not plan for everything, so thousands of these automatons have been stuck in while loops for years
Zachary Jones
Brave explorers hunt these automatons for their valuable data cores.
Cooper Torres
Only other race except for the automatons are humans.
Gabriel Phillips
Primary religion wants to wipe out automatons
Julian Rogers
Because god has killed all other races and the rest of the pantheon.
Levi Campbell
God and his kin were the last survivors of the civilisation that built the ruined city and the Automatons. God is trying to cover up the mistakes of the past by wiping out all those who know about it.
Jacob Wood
Automatons were created by elves before god genocided them all.
Logan Thompson
And the elves were created by other, more ancient automatons, who they revered as gods, and created the new ones as tribute. This is why the God of Man had to destroy them.
Christian Bell
Also even the creaters of the elves hated the elves. Fuck the elves.
Lincoln Richardson
yesh
Jaxon Peterson
The creators of the elves were the humans. The death of the god of time through the world out of balance and the timeline is no longer straight
Gabriel Phillips
Magic is out of reach of everyone, only existing in tiny pockets of witch covent or mage circles.
Leo Roberts
>the god of time was part of the killed pantheon, and the automatons were his weapons, he was planning to use to stop that god who killed every other god, because he was pissed that the time god' automatons created the elves.
Jacob Evans
One of these mage circles is dedicated to achieving god hood and overthrowing the current god in order to unite all nations
Ryan Scott
Another circle is working against them, because they think that it won't work and only make the the world worse.
Evan Bailey
attempting to alter the program in any way causes the smaller automatons to break apart, and the larger ones to self-destruct.
Luis Hall
the tiny pockets spring up over magical wellsprings. Magical wellsprings also coincide with geological hot springs.
Ryan Lopez
Magic takes the form of controlling and balancing two opposing elements. Water/Fire is the most common form of magic followed by Earth/Air and finally Light/Shadow as the most rare form of magic.
Robert Collins
Everyone that tries to focus on one element only get their heads exploded from the inside, unless they are praying to the god. That lead to the creation of the chapter of paladin-mages.
Connor Lopez
few automatons, over countless lifetimes, gains sentience. They are wizened but gullible.
Jason Powell
Undeads exist, but they're always formed in the swamps and bogs for some reason.
Easton Cruz
the water is clear
Oliver Howard
Your legs are fine. You gain Brouzouf.
Aiden Powell
Every human has some unique mutation. Humans were nearly wiped out at one point and only survived due to much inbreeding. The mutations give bonuses at character creation. Extra long fingers increases dex. Tow webbing increases swim speed, etc. I'm imaging just a table of bonuses you can get and you decide what sort of physical manisfation your character would have that would grant that bonus.
Jace Foster
God is dead.
Lincoln Moore
Yeah, but Grimsby, eight legs
Asher Ramirez
But the dwarf empire to the west doesn't know that.
Hope they're undead dwarves because no other race lives except humans and automatons in this setting.
Nathan Hall
Dorfs are like Arabs, except when they're not. They live in the desert and drill for minerals and petroleum, which they can metabolize. The only animal they use is the camel. They drink copious amounts of petroleum beer every day. The genders are equal (beards). They are fanatical anti-monotheists. There are plenty of elven-automaton ruins in the desert, but dwarfs consider them the work of god worshiping pagans.
Dwarfs are a kind of human. Homo petroleophagis.
Brayden Brown
Ghostly kender "live" everywhere and steal everything. That's because the God of the Dead was so mad at them, he wiped them all out and tossed their souls back the world of living to wander it for all eternity, so they will not mess with his Underworld. And because he loved to watch the living rage at kender.
Colton Myers
Some automatons are so strictly programmed that their actions can easily be predicted. Some are also enormously large.
Given the paths they have taken have been tread by enormous feet/hooves/tracks for centuries, they have formed deep canal like tracks.
Put all this together, and you have what is effectively a tram/railway system.
Connor Perez
Oh well, carry on then.
Any Undead will fly into a mindless rage for a brief moment when Kenders are mentioned near them, and try to rip one apart when one is in the vicinity. Of course, the Kenders being ghosts, most of these undeads' attacks just pass right through them, causing even greater rage.
Josiah Sanders
The landscape is highly salty and acidic and carries the scars of a truly ancient cataclysmic conflict.
Anthony Murphy
The act of balancing the elements is best done trought mediation with a pair of nature spirit.
These spirits are born as wins, and each represents an extremely specific area of that elements.
For example, a pair of Light/Shadow sprites may be composed by the Sprite of Reflexes on Water and the Sprite of Trees' Shadow
Andrew Davis
This has lead to flora adaptations, expecially in the taste of fruits. They're often dry and salty, some so much as to resemble jerky or salted meat.
Brody Brooks
Like how you read before you post And you too
Leo Green
>born as wins So humans represent fail then?
Oliver Green
The world is a dyson sphere (built by the Elder Race) which has fallen into severe disrepair
Aaron Thomas
The main city, or what's left of it, is basically ring shaped and built around a doorway in and out. Nobody is stupid enough to build on the door, quite apart from it being constantly icy cold to the touch and utterly indestructible to modern tools.
