Must be willing to read the PDF; will provide if necessary.

How long's the PDF?

I will check out the setting when I get home!

The thing in total is 400+ pages.
I don't expect players to read the entire thing, but gradually working through it is important.

It's honestly one of the best-written books I've ever come across, and the whole thing is full of information that pertains to either rules or setting-specific information, and if you know the book from back-to-front, you'll have a huge leg up on anyone who hasn't.

Not that guy, but I checked my PDF and it's 436 pages (including ToC, index, yadda, yadda). I remember reading a few years ago and it was interesting but I can't imagine wanting to read all of it before even playing.

I don't expect anyone to read the whole thing before playing, but the more you know, the better off you'll be.

How heavy is the system? What is it about (intrigue, adventuring, etc)? And give a link to the pdf, please

1) It's a setting about nobility, laced with "tragic heroes".
Think of characters like Macbeth, Hamlet, Othello, Oedipus Rex, etc. They had had "hamartia", defining flaws that brought them down, in addition to great strengths that come with pretty an ubermensch race of people.
Romance (in every literary sense of the word), Revenge, flair, panache, political intrigue, betrayal, warfare (though on a relatively small scale), etc. That sort of thing.

The rules are simple for players, but defining aspects (ala FATE system) can take a while, and the whole thing requires a good deal of cunning on behalf of the GM.

As for the PDF, this site thinks I'm spamming. Just Google the HotB pdf. You can't miss it.

Would anyone be up for some hard science fiction in a similar vein as Planetes, Europa Report, Moon, and 2001?

>ala
Dropped. I don't want to be GMd by an illiterate Muslim.

Stop. Stop right there and get back to your containment board. This has been a decent game finder thread for once, actual GMs looking for players, we don't need the stupid faggots from /pol/ ruining it.

Maybe it's the illiterate part he takes offense to.

Trust Khorne to work out the source of an user's rage.

Dumb joke, user.

What system?

Probably Orbital

This campaign is based on Ben Robbins' West Marches, which means players decide when to play, who to play with, and what to do (hence the varying schedule). The gameplay is focused on overcoming the challenges of exploring the wilderness in search of fame and fortune in a dark fantasy, late medieval setting.

If you want a more detailed summary of the game, please read this: docs.google.com/document/d/1qOrdXlyCAMPZizD4BysueGief0_S0BCC_zNhj7xw6bA/edit?usp=sharing
