eli getting that turn 3 win
>knightfall
what do I want? 4c Retreat
what do I think? burn maybe
>another eldrazi mirror
>>SCG Orlando Modern Open
Is there an "our guy" at these events? Are any nameable players confirmed fa/tg/uys?
you're kidding right? even if any pro-players went to Veeky Forums, they would never admit it
>20 hours of anime a week
lel
>Pro player admits they go to Veeky Forums
>Instant permanent DCI ban for association with a website for paedophilic hackers on steroids who are members of the KKK
Pro MTG players are less famous than Andrew W.K., and he held a bloody Q&A session on /mu/. I don't think anyone besides us really cares who's on Veeky Forums.
How did you manage to build a deck that loses to blood moon, graveyard hate, artifact hate, aggro, and itself at the same time?
The key is in the filename. It's not my deck.
>"The numbers, what do they mean Mason?"
I miss when those low cut flared jeans the girl is wearing were in style.
the file name is a unix timestamp of when the picture was saved, presumably from here. Hence, Veeky Forums filename.
I wish KOTR was relevant in modern. I really do. I loved maverick in legacy.
tg whats stopping anyone from going to these scg opens? I'm pretty good at modern, why haven't I gotten off my ass and tried to win some real tournaments?
>tom ross on 8-rack
>vs infect
wat de fugg
>why haven't I gotten off my ass and tried to win some real tournaments?
Only you can answer that.
hunted wumpus beats
Tom Ross is so bad at magic. I hate him
does this kid remind anyone else of that round where reid duke was on GW boggles when he took a mull down to 3/4? that was so painful to watch.
How does this deck even work? Why are these Flamejabs and not Lightning bolts?
Is there a bracket up so I can see who's left
Wincon is Spellweaver Helix imprinted with Flame Jab and Worldfire. Helix can be triggered by a Flame Jolt cast with Retrace, so you just have to mill one rather than reliably draw one.
You can also go infinite with Helix, Jab/Crime and a Time Warp/Stretch by using Loam to get your lands back for Retrace every turn.
What is the point of this deck apart from waiting a million turns to sort off get your win cons online.
>some retard thinks he's 1337 player and plays 8rack
>win game 1
>next game drop leyline on one and he concedes
>i wasn't even close to winning
You reliably go to time every round.
Some people just aren't satisfied playing the same decks as everyone else. They're always hoping to be the next Eggs.
you can also get around grafdigger's cage by exiling a loam with helix and dredging the other with an extra turn spell, although it costs extra
I don't think anyone cares what your deck can do at the kitchen table
>wow nobody cares
epic XD
Stay mad, retard
>leyline on one
>playing Grixis Control
>keep hand with two Lilianas, because when it is a bad card?
>8rack is when it's a bad card
>opponent drops Swamp and Inquisitions me
>idon'tknowwhatiexpected.webm
>reveal Inquisition, Rune Snag and the Lilis
>he chooses Liliana of the Veil
>mfw
Your entire hand is trash. Picking Rune Snag is a horrible choice because he aims to empty your hand and make your counters shit (btw, they suck with Liliana) and Inquisition is hardly productive.
It was game 1. I had no idea what they were playing. 3 lands, disruption, a counter and two Walkers seemed like a solid hand against most decks.
Don't mock people when you're bad
What the fuck are you talking about, he's saying "I kept a pretty bad hand for the matchup and he took my worst option"
Are you saying you would mull away a targetted discard an answer and two lilis? All you're saying is "you're bad"
Fuck off troll
you sound like the kind of guy who bolts a creature, then realizes afterwards that what he targeted had regenerate.
people still get assblasted over Veeky Forums posts?
lul
>when they dont concede when you drop AN and make you go through the motions online
dude
I go through the motions of having emotions every day
why do people even bother man?
you could say that your emotions both you... ad nauseam
It lets me see your entire deck list, or at least a good portion of it. Only an idiot wouldn't take free information.
he surrendered game 1, but not game 2
he tried to cursecatcher lightning storm when i had 3 mana up
he ticked aether vial up to 4
it was painful
>tfw nobody plays legacy on xmage
>tfw gave in and just played modern
>he has nothing better to do than shitpost and call people mad and then say "that wasn't even me"
wew lad
not an argument, try again
not an argument, try again
keep me posted
thread is off to a gr8 start boys
So does anyone anticipate a twin unban with the new {W} silver bullet enchantment? I can't say anything but it doesn't seem out of the question
lolno
they aren't going to unban anything that wasnt on the original list for a long time, if ever
I doubt it, it would probably hurt their ego. Maybe unban twin ban exarch
twin will be unbanned in something like five years, same as gravetroll
The academy ruins seems a bit odd, especially with only two Mines, but I can see it as a way to get back Elixir after a Decay/Kcommand. The reason I don't like it is that A) Elixir is crutial but only as a safety net, and while running two safety nets is even safer I wouldn't bother, and B) If Elixir gets Kcommand/Decayed, you've already won/lost as they're not focusing the Mines, and C) IIRC it doesn't stop them popping Relic when you pop Elixir.
It's an extremely low opportunity cost though, so I can totally see it being played (as well as stuff like Inkmoth vs infinite life)
Of all the colorless lands I've ran, the most consistently good one would have to be the charge land. It never does much, but it rarely disappoints. Sometimes with Fountain it's useless but other games that dumb land is the only reason you live.
Gemstone Caverns has been very good to me, some games it does nothing but the games it does work make up for it.
Also, I'm curious if that list should run a babyjace in the 75. His ult is the best alternate wincon. Snap chumps are really damn good in the deck too, I really like that list.
They unbanned Nacatl a little over two years after it was banned.
Of course, that doesn't make Twin's unbanning likely, but it goes to show cards that weren't on the original banlist aren't impossible to bring back.
Fair point
Nacatl isn't nearly as powerful as Twin though
Although I am curious my GGT was banned in the first place, since Dread Return was also banned, it seems like just now is Dredge actually powerful in Modern
>tfw someone mills you to death with multiple Thought Scours while you're playing Dredge
I was playing against Thing Ascension and had boarded in a couple Gnaw to the Bones, so my life total was inflated beyond any hope for them of killing me with damage. Instead they just kept bouncing my board back into my hand and then finished off my library instead.
Golgari Grave-Troll was banned preemptively. They had no idea what Modern Dredge could or could not do, so they hit Grave-Troll in the initial list just to be safe.
great format
fuck I hate WotC
Modern dredge is good because amalgam is busted, not because of troll. If troll was banned again dredge would still be good, but if amalgam was banned dredge would go back to being a tier 2 deck at best.
no kidding.
amalgam working with narcomoeba is fucking nutty.
You got next level'd.
That's the thing with ascension decks and why I love them so much, they have so many angles of attack.
>Opponent side leyline of sanctity
Say hello to my goblin friends.
>Opponent brings leyline of the void
Wait till I have critical mass on hand then on their EoT echoing truth their leyline and go off on my turn. Not to mention the time I said Epic Experiment for 8, my opponent didn't knew that was a card.
>Opponent Thoughtseizes me then Surgical extracts my draw spells
Kill him with 6 lightning bolts.
Not to mention the times they ask that if you really can target creatures with Grapeshot.
I love ascension decks and always keep a single Storm Crow on my wallet at all times.
>Playing Modern for fun with a friend
>T1 Neonate, discard Troll, dredge a Narcomoeba and 2 Amalagams
Pretty much goes without saying I won that game by a landslide
I hope Dredge starts to fly under the radar so I can hit up some Modern tournaments.
Although I'm missing the Amalgams and Conflagrates.
I played UR Storm at the start of the year, being able to go t2 Electromancer t3 Ritual, Ritual, Manamorphose, Ritual, Experiment for 7 and win is a good feeling. (I did that in one of the rounds at GP Melbourne this year)
Anyone else getting fucking NO cards on Pucatrade? I didn't know Future Site would be this fatal... still got 78AUSD on that fucking site.
Also r8 my faeries deck cunts

Pic unrelated. But it's my new play-mat. You jelly?
Well when the whole puca economy relies on points that (should have equivalents to USD) are heavily inflated and only worth 60% of their dollar value, it has to end sometimes. The owner use the site as a cash grab. They take peoples money and pump as much points in as they please. Points to pay for advertising on youtube, points for signing up, etc etc. No regulation. It was only a matter of time.
It was a new format and Dredge is a scary Legacy boogeyman, they weren't sure how things would shape up when they made the first banlist so they went with a lot of gut feelings.
I want to find a way to make a modern Pox deck that can force the opponent to either kill themsevles or be the ultimate deciding factor in what kills them
ie
>reversing life gain
>forcing draws and life loss on draw
>giving the opponent creatures that hinder them in some way
>forcing the opponent to take damage from his own lands or creatures
>attacking or destroying creatures that then destroy them (phyrexian obliterator)
Ive been trying to think of more creative a tricky combos for pox that are still modern legal otherwise Ill go Legacy
Some of those cards are not modern legal, and legacy pox is already a thing
(you)
yeah, thinking of viable replacements to make a modern deck. Ive had all these cards already, which is why the deck is like this at the moment.
It's pretty fun to play like it is, can I make it modern while still being a fun 8-rack deck.
its now modern legal
Can i get help making my RDW better?
Decklist
4 Eidolon of the great revel
3 skullcrack
4 riftbolt
4 lightning bolt
4 monastery swiftspear
4 vexing devil

4 hellspark elemental
20 land
Sideboard

3 searing blood
1 pillar of flame
1 skullcrack
1 spark elemental
other cards i have
4 crumble to dust
3 spark elemental
1 searing blood
4 keldon marauders
3 ball lightning
1 leyline of punishment
3 pillar of flame
4 wear/tear
take out vexing devil.
I thought it was good?
LOL. Just play burn
whn you want early preasure, they take 4. when you want to dome them for 4 you get a probably irelevant creature.
>tfw playing Grixis Delver and flipping Delver so quick and so often your opponent gets pissed
>tfw still dies to bolt anyway
It gives your opponent the choice, and they will always choose the one that least benefits you. Vexing devil belongs in a casual reanimator deck
What a shit player for not running 4 Pack Rats, LOTV and Ratchet Bomb in the 75.
>tfw I just want to play an artifact aggro deck that isnt Robots
>No strong thopter or thopter generating cards on Kaladesh
>Thopter Sword still isnt a thing
Disappointing.
>I want to play an artifact aggro deck, but refuse to play a good artifact aggro deck
>wow why are none of my options good?
If I wanted to win I'll play BGx. Its more of something that I really want to be a thing since Thopters are my favorite creature type.
What should i replace it with?
Is the rest of the deck good?
Goblin guide.
Get fetches and run boros charm and atarkas command.
they always say "k" when i reveal
>tfw keep hand with no threats g2 on draw
>probe. see two elders, 2 scapeshift, 1 btl, 1 land
>visions pyromancer to top
>shoal his turn2 elder
>drop pyro, extract elder
>proceed to close game with a gazillion elementals while he struggles for land
deck is a blast, saving up for landbase asap
I want to i just don't have money for that right now
buy them one at a time over the course of several weeks ya dingus
The fuck, get rid off the vexing devils and you got money for atarka's and boros charm.
Any of you dudes have SCG premium and can pastebin this article, or know of a way to get around it? I just want to read about modern and god forbid you find it in this thread
www.starcitygames.com/article/33673_Kaladesh-Modern-Analysis.html
Why didn't David reanimate Griselbrand to block? He had Goryo's in hand.
TSG on the heavy meta cast was says that the if you were to do favors for the guy who started it (and still runs an LGC) he would offer to pay you in pucapoints first then cash if you said no.
John has lethal with Infect, let's see if he sees it.
SCGLive? More like Watch Tom Ross Live
I've been gone for an hour, what have I missed?

Yeah I'm sure xhe is "female".
