asking again: about how many rounds of bardic performance does one burn through in a day? I'm thinking of building a sensei monk, but they only get level+wis rds/day (vs 2+2*level+cha for bards)
Jason Reed
Warlord Bushi with Black Seraph.
Noah Reed
Has /pfg/ ever played a complete maid party? Also, post more maids
Easton Barnes
...
Kayden Walker
...
Tyler Ross
I guess. I guess I've just never handed out items like that that the party didn't just agree to hand to the person who could use it, or just want to sell it if they couldn't since their character wouldn't, and if I was a player I either didn't have the skill or it was just too exclusive of an item. .(Hopefully) Just one further question: what's that list mandatory ranged character feats /pfg/ always says? I've only seen it like 10 goddamn times but I keep forgetting to save/cap it.
Is there a 1pp way to get Int to melee attack rolls? I want to make a SAD Empiricist Investigator, and that's one of the main things standing in my way.

why boner? I didn't even know I had this fetish
Julian Hill
Is there a way that isn't just for Combat Maneuvers?
Levi Anderson
Many thanks, I have saved this now. Now I just need to decide what magus specific feats I'm gonna get.
John Campbell
Don't bother getting all the archery feats for eldritch archer magus, as they suffer from 3/4 BAB.
Balance it out with crafting feats, and spell focus, school focus feats to make your spellstrikes more potent.
So could anyone tell me why Kitsune are really common and around Pathfinder alot? I know they're of Japanese mythology of pretty and attractive people who have fox/kanid features who love to play jokes and tricks with their magic.
But when ever I see a Pathfinder thread or anything relating to it, why do I see Kitsune so VERY often? Has Pathfinder popularized them or something?
Logan James
No, /pfg/ is just plagued by kitsunefanatics. Just ignore them.
Ryan Reed
Oh, my sweet summer child. Your innocence is refreshing.

>all-maid party
Nah. Never gonna happen, BECAUSE:
>there's a guy who always plays Wizard >there's his sister, who always plays something with Wild Shape or an equivalent >there's one guy who always plays some ridiculous skillmonkey, usually Knowledge-based >there's one guy who always plays a sneeki breeki DEX class, varying levels of edge >and then there's me
Jaxon Martinez
if your GM doesn't let you apply it to your attack roles, the prehensile hair hex will also work
William Lopez
We have a surplus of these.
Camden Wright
Crossover from /jp/.
Drow aren't that popular anymore since 4E came out.
Core races are too boring.
Template races are too hard to work with.
Andrew Richardson
The problem with elves, is that they only come in 3 flavors.
Camden Cox
>spell focus/school focus aren't those/that bad? It's like a +1 to your DC, off the top of my head. Crafting feats is 100% worth considering if nobody else is taking it, since this AP is pretty low on items you can get. Don't I not get /the/ most important spell to craft a wand of, cure light wounds, though? what else is near that tier of important, btw? especially that a magus gets.
Landon Gray
>vanilla >chocolate >blueberry
Nathan Reyes
>aren't those/that bad? >It's like a +1 to your DC, off the top of my head.
a 5% increase is not bad if you're a crowd control build magus. Makes your spells harder to resist.
If evocation though, they suck.
Gabriel Thompson
3E gave us a little more variety.
Julian Brooks
There's more flavors than you would think, user.
Gabriel Davis
>pictured: 10 not-elves and 2 elves

Carter King
None of those are elves.
Jayden Martinez
I was mainly considering going pretty much evocation, but I'll probably be allowed to change once I actually start playing with the character. (if by some god awful reason I make a super polarizing decision this early) Also, we're starting at one so it's not like I can't get a good feel on the party before I set myself into anything. was mainly considering evocation purely so my next character could be just 100% control "god" wizard
William Clark

I don't know why. Its clear that Fae Catboys are superior.
I didn't notice that sea elves got an improvement of the FRCS version.
Landon White
I'm going to play Rebirth Discipline Psychic after my Sorcerer retire.
At level 11, I can steal up to 4th level spell from my chosen class, one spell per day.
So.. which class is the most ripe and best for poaching? Are there any cool "discount" spell from Paladin / Ranger / Summoner list?
Luis Stewart
Greater Angelic Aspect from the Paladin list has saved my ass (and my allies) innumerable times. Flight, bonuses to AC and saves, immunities/resistances, and auto-dispel to any spell of 3rd level or lower from an evil source. I'd recommend it to anyone.
David Kelly
Didn't notice the new thread so reposting

WHATS WRONG PUSS WHAT KIND OF FAGGOT DOESN'T WANT TO DO 1 BILLION HP DAMAGE WITH A KEEN SCIMITAR + SHOCKING GRASP I BET YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE SUPPORT FAGS THAT CAST HASTE EVERY COMBAT AND TOUCH ITSELF EVERY TIME YOU MAKE A "WALL OF STONE" SO YOU CAN DEBUFF YOUR OPPONENTS INSTEAD OF PLAIN KILLING THEM

Jose Torres
Oh nice! Thanks for the recommendation!
William Torres
No problem. Runner-up is also Eaglesoul from the same list, which is much better for use on the offensive, but probably wouldn't serve your 1/2 BAB Psychic nearly as well as Greater Angelic Aspect. Plus, you get to look like an angel, which is rad.
Jace Russell
What about Litany of Vengence? We have a monk and a summoner in the party. So that will probably help increase their damage output significantly.
Probably work with Telekinesis too right?
Colton Stewart
This might be silly, but does pfg know any good sites for gms that are good for making maps or what have you?
Thomas Baker
Or, I could play some initiator and specialize in Scarlet Throne.
That requires less set up.
Daniel Ramirez
Not a site, but I hear Tiled is a good program for making maps.
Caleb Gray
Your monk will thank you on hands and knees for that extra damage (give him my condolences for choosing to be a monk), and a natural-attack blender certainly won't be worse off for it. It would work with Telekinesis too-- anything that qualifies as an attack, including spell effects that have an attack roll.
The only reason I never used Litany of Vengeance is that it only lasts 1 round, so the +5 to damage doesn't really stack up unless you're all properly gangbanging one guy. If that's the case, you probably don't need that damage bonus anyway. Plus, Paladins usually have better things to do with their swift actions. Would probably work better for your own setup, though.
Jackson Cruz
Hey there, /pfg/
Can I get some more input and criticisms for my homebrew class, the Empyrius? I'd gladly appreciate it.
Its an offense/support class based loosely on the Tactician and the Vitalist with a flavor of warlock.
His main draw is his ability to deal damage , debuff and deliver support buffs all in one turn.
Alright so I know this was probably asked a few times a year ago, but what would be some of the better ways to ago about making a Bloodborne Hunter in Pathfinder? I have a group looking to play Strange Aeons soon and I figured it would be solid enough idea for the setting.
For simplicity sake I am going to mimic the Boom Hammer from the DLC (just a Flaming Burst Earthbreaker or something of the like) or Blades of Mercy, so I'm mostly looking for how to replicate monster hunting and potentially ways to heal myself.
Also are there any relatively simple ways to be efficient with a gun that doesn't involve putting 5 god forsaken levels in Gunslinger? Seriously whoever decided Gun Training should be at 5th over 2nd/3rd is a complete cockwaffle and should be hanged by their toes.
DM allows a limited amount of 3rd party content, mostly DSP related. Anything else needs to be discussed. Our party is currently a Sorcerer, Barbarian, and Shaman.
Hudson Morgan
In Guns Everywhere, Slingers get it at 1st level.
Failing that, Trench Fighters get Gun Training at 3rd.
Gavin Robinson
Not everyone has played Bloodborne.
What do Hunters do?
Chase Long
They hunt, you silly goose.
Isaac Morgan
They slay beasts (and later in the game Eldritch Monstrosities) with a combination of tools, transformative weapons, and guns. They use silver bullets, healing potions, and items that give temporary buffs like flaming or shocking to their weapons. All in all pretty much the culmination of medieval monster hunting tropes.
Evan Murphy
When people see bloodborne, they think of a few things.
Their trick weapons, which either have two forms or some kind of special ability to them.
Run an Unchained Monk. The flurry of blows from that doesn't have the arbitrary natural weapons restriction.
Christopher Lewis
Is Create Greater Mindscape a good spell for a boss fight? You could make it into a dead magic zone. And play hide and seek with the BBEG while your buddy beat him/her body up (or you could bring one or two muscle inside the mindscape with you to keep the BBEG busy).
Gavin Hernandez
Is there such a thing as a viable 1pp PRC?
Oliver Sullivan
Anything with full casting progression.
Nicholas Torres
There are plenty of PrCs that are viable. Some of them are good, even. Just like with regular multiclassing, you can't just slap them on a random character and expect things to work out.
Benjamin Clark
I just wish the Lion Blade was easier to prestige into and was a bit better at it's job.
Kevin Nguyen
None of that precludes them from being maids.
Lucas Parker
Are there pdfs of Strange Aeons yet? I need.
Jayden Cooper
So, /pfg/, has anyone played Forrest's Spellburst Savant yet? What are some good spells to slap Magical Lineage into? Any other metamagic enhancers?
Christian Ortiz
Edge maid?
Chase Harris
The screen shots look neat. I'm checking it out.
James Foster
Savage Technologist gets gun training and manages to mix guns with melee really damn well.
Jace Hughes
Is Witch PrC into Eldritch Knight any good? How is it compare to Wizard?
Gavin Moore
Witches are very effective at it because they get 90% of the best debuffs and a slew of supernatural abilities that make very good utility effects as well as buff/debuffs.
I cannot tell you how many times being able to use the healing hex has made NPCs look more kindly upon my party.
Dominic Collins
Misfortune and Evil Eye don't scale with EK level though. I guess it's better to focus on Fortune and other buff hex?
Logan Carter
Misfortune, Evil Eye, Healing, and Fortune only scale to limited point anyways. As long a they get the 8th level boost, they're good. Alternatively, use the hexes for utility (flight, prehensile hair, charm, cauldron, etc.) and concentrate on the spells for your buff/debuff (especially if you take the Patron of Strength, whih gives you the best clerical buff spells).
Isaiah Ross
EK is pretty shit about 90% of the time.
For a fighty witch, you are better off going Hexcrafter.
However, in case you must, white hair witch actually meshes pretty well with EK.
Adam Martin
I'm looking to get a mount. It needs to match a few criteria. Can you guys help me out? The mount needs to be big enough to comfortably transport 2 medium characters and a small character along with all our shit without the need for a cart or something similar. Upper end Large or Huge, probably. It also needs to be able to stay out of trouble when it's left alone by either having some kind of potent defensive ability of by being smart enough to not get killed or stolen. Lastly it needs to be reasonable so no basilisks or whatever. Otherwise it can be anything within reason. I'm a level 5 monster hunter type character so I could have feasibly tamed a bunch of shit or raised a youngling after slaying it's mother. I suppose I could've simply bought it too. The creature's speed is unimportant, by the way, it's just gotta be real big and have a good STR. Suggestions?
Aaron Moore
Can someone explain me what's so good about linnorm style that everybody seems to be recommeding it to increase damage on monks? because I don't see it.
Ethan Lopez
Elephant?
Levi Baker
Bind a nighmare and then a cauchemar later on
Matthew Howard
Go to Unchained Monk. You don't need styles at all for damage boosts, only for the buffs they provide outside of damage.
Evan Bennett
We're going to play a high level campaign. So anything that can't cast 9th level spell is automatically shit.
Ayden Gutierrez
I'm 8th level unchained monk with 20 str and elbow smash (the one from the previous thread that deals 21 on average) and I don't get why some people recommended me that style to increase my damage per turn.
Connor Martin
Then don't go Eldritch Knight, go Arcane Archer or Arcane Trickster.
Benjamin Nguyen
Possibly because it increases your damage per turn?
Joshua Kelly
>First feat uses Wis instead of Str >Second feat gives you a +2 to hit >Third feat if you allow to get hit you get an AoO
The 3rd feat at best, the rest don't increse my damage, in fact if I use the first I reduce my damage because like I said my Str is 20 and my Wis is 16. Also if I want to increase my damage I have to get hit constantly and that's rather suicidal.
Justin Adams
That's a bit... bland, don't you think?
Me not that kind of orc, user.
Jordan Carter
> Arcane Archer > Lost 3 caster level > Witch qualify for it at level freaking 12 Better be a single class witch at that point. Your BAB is already shit.
> Arcane Trickster > Mage Hand > Witch
Isaac Reyes
It also minimizes the damage of the hit. A 3d6 becomes a 3 instead of a 10.5. NPCs don't stack as many static bonuses as PCs (usually). You also only need to allow 1 attack to hit a turn, which the highest BAB attack is very likely to anyway.
Levi Williams
Well, if you go 3 feats in you increase your damage by dealing more attacks nobody said it was a good idea but it does what you want increase damage ;^)
Hudson Peterson
Linnorm Style lets you replace Str or Dex bonus to damage with Wis bonus to damage by taking a -2 AC penalty.
Linnorm Vengaunce (+6 bab bonus) gives you +2 on attacks to anyone who has successfully hit you last round. If they miss, you can let them hit you, take minimum damage, and then get the _2 attack bonus anyways. If an enmy knocks you out, you gget a free action for one retaliatory attack before going unconscious/dying.
Chances are good you may not actually need the style feat.
Benjamin Adams
Unchained monks REALLY don't need the extra damage style feats give for the penalties they inflict.
Cooper Torres
>Chances are good you may not actually need the style feat. Everybody says 21 damage without counting magic items and the extra attack with ki (because lets face it I have 7 ki points, and 2 a day are going to bark skin for sure so 5 extra attacks a day shouldn't be taken into account because they aren't a reliable damage output) is absolutely nothing so that's why I asked. So far Dragon Style and Dragon Ferocity seem to be the most useful, but they're still 2 feats.
Adrian Green
>Eastern setting >Play magus like samurai >Use wooden sandals like pick related >GM decides to give me penalties to balance and stealth just because >Ask him why >"They're fuckign wooden sandals, that's why" >Strike 1 Then people complain about optimization and picking the best stuff instead of "what's cool". Fuck you, Dave, I hope you're reading this.
Adrian Ross
"What's cool" is a stupid meme that needs to die in this system, if you want "cool" you should go play 5e.
Here, at the big boy table of esteemed gentlemen, we create perfection.
Jonathan Green
>21 average damage That's actually fucking shit, how do you deal so little with 20 Str and elbow smash?
Gavin Young
Why would a Bluff bonus from Pageant of the Peacock apply to Diplomacy?
Chase Walker
Maybe I'm doing my math wrong but lets check this again. Damage in one hit: 1d10+5(str)+6(power attack)+1(trait) = 17.5 BaB: 8 Flurry (with PA penalties): +10/+10/+5 + elbow smash Against CA 22 (average CA of a CR 8 monster) (1d10+5+6+1) x (9/20+9/20+4/20+4/20x9/20) = 20.825
Is something wrong in my maths?
Counting the extra attack if I spend ki (which again would only be like 5 times a day) = 28.7
Lucas Phillips
>penalizing purely aesthetic character choices
your GM can go climb a wall of cocks
Christian Martin
Would you penalize a character who said they wore a solid metal bucket over their head but still had all their normal vision? Or a 12 strength character who said they wanted to swing around a weapon the size of a street lamp even if it only had normal greatsword reach and damage?
Angel Campbell
>My character wears high heels like these!
Dylan Jackson
1) Yes, unless they poked holes in it then it would be standard helmet rules. 2) No, unless it was over his weight limit.
How this is even a debate escapes me, I feel like I'm missing vital information.
