>Daemon Magnus is Ugly AF

Wait, did the model drop already?

Starting these with troll Chaos rumors is old-hat.

Deathwatch Kill Team DID NOTHING WRONG

Salamander -- Team Leader
Lamenter
Black Dragon
Wolf Brother
Fire Hawk
Marine Malevolent
Astral Claws Blackshield
Doom Eagle
Flesh Tearer
Death Spectre
Minotaur

All lead by a Thousand S--- I mean, BLUHD REHVEN Librarian for the ultimate in did-nothing-wrong.

First for someone stop me please

Get the crashed thunderhawk instead

The only problem I have with this is that the Wolf Brothers were lost before papa russ disappeared so its just not feasible
Otherwise I think all of those chapters existed in a fairly decent overlap

It seems like Land Raiders are pretty easily countered though. Playing against Deathwing a few months ago and I took out two LR's with Lascannon devs and two multi-melta LandSpeeders. Or are those just really good counters I used?

That's true. Who might I replace him with?...

But the crashed thunderhawk doesn't come with a titan gun
I may just order a full 6 tiles, my club could use some new terrain

I'm pretty sure there's an actual Deathwatch kill team in one of the books that has a Black Dragon and Flame Falcon in it used by a Radical Inquisitor to Solve Problems.

Put in a pre-renegade Soul Drinker.

Fair enough then, all the tiles are cool honestly

Yep.

Do it.
Get the landing pad and the castellum stronghold too

Yeah, drop the Wolf Brother for a Soul Drinker.

Dindu, the Team. Perfect team leader, by the way. Because he's black. Also, the fluff fit just right.

A lamenter and a flesh tearer hanging out would be some sad shit. The lamb can hold it together so much better and tries to help rip&tear, but is cursed to die horribly. Rip&tear admires the lamb, tries to be good like him but doesn't know how, eventually loses his grip and goes black rage when the lamanter gets killed. Even the doom eagle thinks this is dark.

Why would you post this? What compelled you to do this to me?

Mmm, Lord of War fortification!

I want a drama of this

Any thoughts on this HoR tyranid squad?

Neurothrope w/Synaptic Pain Suppression and Biosense - 63

Hormagaunt Squad - 25

Hormagaunt Squad - 25

4 Genestealers - 56

Warrior - 30

Tyrant Guard - 50

Total - 249

Pretty straight forward. Wondering if I should take replace a squad of hormagaunts with termagaunts, and give the warrior a deathspitter?

What did the Salamanders do wrong?

Gotta throw greek tragedy into 40k when you can.

Nothing, he's there for dramatic effect (good guy leading some other good guys, some cursed guys, and some bad guys).

What is this, Kill Team X?

The landing pad is a must with the downed thunderhawk, a bit of tasteful irony, but I'm not really a fan of the fortress, it just feels too much like a generic RTS base

Currently sitting at 1750. Not sure I'm happy with this, particularly the Vanguard Vets. Any thoughts?

Angel's Blade Strike Force

Leaders of the Angelic Host
Sanguinary Priest (Angel's Wing, Auspex)

Not a CSM player, but I recently realized that only the aspiring champion of a rubrick squad is a psyker (instead of a brotherhood of sorcerers or whatever), so that means all the ablative mooks are the mindless husks of walking armor. (Before, I thought they just sort of existed amorphously, and the squad was a brotherhood, and the chaos sorcerers were The Psykers of the legion).

Anyways, this realization had me open the CSM codex for the first time, and I noticed that rubricks are T4. How does this make sense? They cannot be "wounded" as I understand it. Being shot in the face is just as inconvenient as getting shot in the wrist, when it comes to armor integrity. And one such "wound" still instantly cripples the suit. What I mean is, it should be a hell of a lot more difficult (or easier, or SOMETHING) to kill a walking suit of power armor than it is to disable a flesh-and-blood man inside said suit of armor. I mean, a lascannon can blast a hole right through your middle, and you should just walk it off like a spooky skeleton in a classic horror movie or something. That said, I just realized that no modern movie does skeletons anymore. What the fuck?

Why is there no crunch reflecting their remarkable difference from other marines?

Seconded, how about the generator instead?

As the mostly clearly "good guys" of the setting, it'd take nothing less than a Salamander to willfully accept those teammates and trust onto them in battle.

Don't forget that the Psyker is also one of the shittiest in the game, due to his using spells from the God of Psykers.

Well, they do have a 4++. It's not much, and it doesn't really help, but it's something.

So I just started playing 40k after painting some models for the last few months. I have both Blood Angels Codex and Angel's Blade. Because I have the models for it I am gonna try to build Death Company Strike Force in the Doomed Sons of Sanguinus formation (believe that's what it's called.) I need to have 1200 points for December for the next tourny for fun at my flgs.

So I was wondering how I could build a fun army out of that but also have it be good so I do have some sorta chance of winning? I have a Death Company Dreadnought, 10 Death Company Minis, and Astorath.

The generator and the concourse section makes 5, how would the imperial dugout tile match up with this table?

Where's your 4hrs of MSPaint GSC dude OP?

If you don't see a GSC guy then obviously he's doing his job.

Can they still not cast the Chaos AoD spells?

...

So set up a 2v2 Saturday with my Dark Angels and friend's Blood Angels against Nurgle CSM/Daemons and KDK. 1500pts per player.

Hoping to have a blast. We all agreed no fliers or Lord of Wars and are hoping for a fluffy game.

I just finished a Land Raider Crusader and am thinking about bringing a small representation of all three wings.

How's this sound in terms of fluffy but effective and friendly:

HQ:
Servo Harness Techmarine on a Bike with Power Axe

Elite:
Deathwing Command Squad with DW banner, apothecary, and Cyclone Missile launcher in a Landraider Crusader. Five Terminators.

Ravenwing Command Squad with Apothecary and RW banner. Three Bikers total.

Troops:
2 Six man Tacical Squads in TL Lascannon Razorbacks

Then the Dark Angels Conclave that buffs their interromancy (which will be much more friendly than some invisibility shit) consisting of:

ML2 Librarian on bike with force sword
ML2 Librarian in Terminator Armor with For Smiter and a Force Axe
Ezekiel, DA named librarian.

All the bikers will roll together while the term is and Eze hop in the Crusader.

Yeah it's the 4++.
Unless you want to give them reanimation protocols.

>How does this make sense? They cannot be "wounded" as I understand it.
busting armor, crippling mobility

they're no longer flesh and bone, but still rely on the power armor to physically move around

>I just realized that no modern movie does skeletons anymore. What the fuck?
blame the lucrative chinese market

Why six-man tac squads? Do they have upgrades?

>We all agreed no fliers
Yeah, that restriction definitely doesn't hurt the Chaos side a lot more than the Imperial side.

Can we talk about how fucking stupid Space Marine spit is?

anyone play a game today? I played my 30k Imperial Fists against a friend's 40k Chaos + Renegades. I blew up all his toys but he won by a landslide with objectives.

Doesn't a Razorbacks fit six? No upgrades. I use them in my MSU Lions Blade.
They are just there to rep greenwing.
What upgrade would be worthwhile.

BA is bringing his Death Company Flesh Tearers.

It's not anymore stupid than any of the other things SM have.

Crashed Thunderhawk is better for Capture the Relic and Fluffy "Hold the line" missions.

I think only Nurgle owns a Heldrake while BA has a Fire Raptor and I have three DA fliers. We also agreed no LoW and I know BA and KDK have Knights.

Played some killteam yesterday, surprised how well my Tau team is doing in my shops campaign desu

A Greek Tragedy is where the protagonist meets an unhappy end due to his own failures or terrible choices, so I don't think this is really a Greek Tragedy.

It is, however, a tragedy.

Well sure it FITS six, but a lone tac marine isn't as good as, say, a melta or plasma gun. You can drive the Razorbacks up to objectives, drop the squad + their special weapon on it, and they'll be able to do some damage to attackers while the Rbacks can zip around Lascannon'ing things.

As far as I know they still have to take at least one power from the Discipline of Tzeentch because of MoT, and are still capped at ml1 so they still can't take another power from another discipline.

I haven't read Traitors Hate, but I doubt that they included a caveat to let you sub the mandatory gods' discipline spell for a heretic astartes spell.

Would a metamorph get the benefits of whatever metamorph weapon it has even if it is using its rending claws? Because in the rules for the weapon it says that a model equipped with the weapon gets the buff.

But the 4++ has literally nothing to do with them being walking armor and everything about them being tzeench-favored.

They didn't even have the good grace to give it a Legion of the Damned edge. Whom are apparently more favored and better at being walking suits of armor with their 3++.

Yes

What's the list?

And the list! Hot off the presses.

Librarian - 110
ML 2
Jump Pack

AQUILA KILL TEAM - 450

Veterans - 220
4x Frag Cannons
Melta Gun

Drop Pod - 35

Vanguard Veterans - 195
2x pairs of claws
1x Sword + Shield
1x TH/SS
1x Sword

ANCIENTS

Venerable Dreadnought - 140
TLLC

And the characters--

vet squad:
Salamander -- Melta Gun
Fire Hawk
Soul Drinker
Astral Claw
Marine Malevolent

vvets:
Lamenter -- Sword and Board
Flesh Tearer -- Claws
Doom Eagle -- Sword + Pistol
Black Dragon -- Claws (will be modeled as his own appendages)
Minotaur -- TH/SS

Anyone know how well Chaos Black Prime works in, say, 82% Humidity at 27 C?

Because Florida is a bitch.

6x Firewarriors with Pulse Rifles, one with FNP, one with mastercrafted and one with infiltrate + Support turret with smart missile system

2x Piranha

Crisis Suit with 2 plasma rifles (leader)

So drop one of each tactical and pick up a special wep. Probably melta in case they bring armor.

Painting some termies for a friends custom loyalist chapter theyre white with some orange highlights.

What shade is best to wash white with? I think i remember hearing blue but i wanted to be sure.

You can use blue or black, depends on how pronounced you want the shading.

>Death Company Command
Astorath 165pt

>Death Company Strike Force
Death Company Chaplain, 125pt

Death Company Dreadnought 125pt
-Blood Talons 10pt
-Lucius Pattern Dreadnought Drop Pod 50pt

>3 Death Company Squads (all 3)
5 Marines 100pt x3
-Jumpacks 15pt x3
-Power weapon 15pt x3
-Power Fist 25pt x3
-Bolter Pistols and Chainswords for the rest

That puts me at 775pt for a 1200 point game. I am still new to this (and not sure if this is the right place to post these questions) but what points should I focus on in improving this army to meet the 1200? Troop count feels really damn small but they are expensive as fuck.

Post lists? Obviously if we're posting kill teams, sure why not.

Raptors Tactics: 203(Because awkward equipment costs for scouts)

5-Man Scout Squad
Unnamed Specialist - Combi-Grav/cloak: Relentless
Unnamed Scrub - Bolter/cloak
Unnamed Scrub - Bolter/cloak
Unnamed Scrub - Bolter/cloak
Mantis - Heavy Bolter/cloak: Reaping Volley

5-man Sternguard Vet squad
Unnamed Scrub: Combi-Grav
Company Champion Solidus: Just a bolter and his trusty knife.
Unnamed Scrub
Unnamed Scrub
Veteran Rapture: Preferred Enemy

Company Champion Solidus is my kill-team leader. Normally he's my company champion(who follows around Captain Valentine in the first company), but for kill teams I'm just assuming that he wanted to join their squad purely for the sake of using their special ammo. Who would want to deny the resident knife-wielding "I kill terminators with a fucking knife" maniac?

So far I've been marking kill-counts on the board for all of my unnamed scrubs. Maybe someday they'll do something badass in the local KT scene and earn themselves some names. So far only Mantis has earned a name in the current tournament, because he consistently gets at least 8 kills a game.

Oh shit it's Raptor user.

Thanks bro. Since when am I infamous enough to have a .gif named after me?

Since everytime you post, someone argues with you, it's hilarious.

>82% humidity

That doesn't seem like a good idea

>GW "primers"

Just get a hygrometer. Or god forbid just go outside. If you see ANY clouds over your house, don't bother priming. I live in florida too(Up north by jacksonville), so I have a go-box of shit I want to prime, but have to wait several weeks at a time for ideal conditions to prime.

Scions used out of the Militarum Tempestus codex can't take chimeras as dedicated transports, right? Only Taurox primes?

Oh hey raptor user, how comes the monster grills?
How is ancient valentine did you ever finish repainting him?

What's your preferred alternative?

I love the spartan looking models but I'm not a big fan of the camp cloaks. Could you post pictures from behind?

Yep.

why is erryone so mad?

There are at least 5 posts between you and the nearest angry-ish post :)

Monstergrils are getting assembled. Also Ancient Valentine finally got his basecoat up, so I'm going to be finishing him completely tomorrow. I haven't touched valentine's paintjob in so long, so it's nice to finally be getting around to finishing him, even if it's not to the quality I originally set out for.

Here's the behind of my scouts Camo Cloaks. I'm not too satisfied with the grass either, although they've gotten pretty popular at my geedubs as the "Fuzzies squad".

I didn't think so either. Hince why I'm asking /tg for their experiances
Winter cannot come fast enough!
Chaos Black's worked really well when the recommended tempuratures are available. But since my vehicles use a non-GW paint I'm careful to only use the same color black as the basecoat/primer.

For the lighter colored troops I actually use a grey Rustolium primer (specifically the primer, not just one of the paints). Because it's rugged and works in tempuratures up to 85 degrees. Thinking of switching to Krylon, though.

I use Army Painter Black with really good results.
I also have humidity issues, the inside of my house is really good though so I mostly have to spray in my storage room next to an open window and still get a nice coat thanks to the AC.

What happens? Family just moved to Florida, and I had no idea humidity made it so you can't prime

You ever see those models covered in bumps? That. Anyone got any pictures?

Okay, basically the primer in your spraycan will pick up tiny-ass water droplets in the air on its path to the model, and it then proceeds to fuckup your primer. If you prime when it's too humid outside, then the result will be that your model gets fuzzy and rough. It also won't hold paint at all.

The only way to redeem a model that has been wet-primer'd is to strip it.

Post your faces when we won't get 8th until 2020 and CSM and Orks will still not get shit

After listing to the Repairer of Ruin Audio book I realized I forgot how awesome Fabius Bile is.

I got one right here. I made this very mistake back when I first started the game, and ended up ruining a perfectly good predator tank.

does anyone have the instructions image for photographing a mini well?

Make sure the can's nozzle is clear of any dried armor plates when you're done spraying. That shit will get everywhere the next time you use it.

...

To add on, if you strip it. YOU WILL LOSE DETAIL. Unless someone has some sort of method I haven't tried, any attempts to strip a model have made me lose detail on them. I've tried Simple Green, non-acetone nail remover, etc.

lmfao

Super Clean hasn't given me any loss of detail. Leave it in for 24 hours, paint falls right off, no damage whatsoever to the models.

Purple Power can safely strip plastic without loss of detail. Unfortunately it also takes a LONG-ass time to work. If you want to strip metal models, just use straight up acetone.

Also, in a pinch, you can just use hand-soap and a toothbrush to strip models if you want to put some elbow grease into it.

But why would your Iron Warriors fight other Chaos?

Seriously though, you guys know what I mean, right?

Castrol super clean.

Strips paint off anything and does zero, and I mean literally zero, damage to the model, even if it's plastic. Haven't tried it with resin but I'm told it works just as well there too.

Soak models in it overnight or even for a couple days for best effect, the paint will basically peel right off. Just use gloves when handling the liquid or reaching into it to retrieve your models or it will burn you like acid if it stays on your skin for a length of time. Doesn't have harmful fumes though, at least not on any noticeable level if you aren't intentionally huffing it.

this user here: I can confirm , works on resin real good. Though I haven't had the burns for some reason.
