Who are the most dangerous opponents of Space Marines? (Lore)

Who are the most dangerous opponents of Space Marines? (Lore)

Heresy.

Other space marines.

Their own Pride and Arrogance. They may be good, but they're not immortal.

Stairs

Long Capes

Matt Ward

Tripping over their robes

chaos marines

Depends on the chapter.

Not fearing Death =/= arrogance

AP 3 and better.

Barring individual super units like Greater Daemons and Avatars? Chaos Marines probably.

The Emperor. The Emperor has killed more Space Marines than any two factions put together.

Their own inner doubt.

Man.

Objectively, it's the forces of Chaos.

No other faction has inflicted the level of lasting damage on the Imperium that Chaos has.

Mold lines.

Chaos
Tau (Especially Crisis)

Weapons with effective range beyond 20 meters.

Ork Snipers.

Minotaurs and Space Wolves.

Enslavers

You mean Flesh Tearers? I don't know where this meme came from that the Wolves are team killers, aside from Logan killing the GK guy, and the Burning of Prospero, the Yiffs really don't do much else aside from talking shit to Dark Angels and the Inquisition

People who hate Pauldrons

No he means Minotaurs. They are the anti-astartes chapter. Te Flesh Tearers are anti-civilian so to speak.

Rak'Gol.

GW

Tau, not even memeing about it. Astardes casualties against the tau are always way grester than they should be for such a small faction.

Matt Wards

It's heavily implied in some of the HH novels that the Wolves were the ones who purged the two missing legions, or at least one of them

...

IAM THE LAWWWW

>Who's responsible for the most Space Marine deaths?
Probably Chaos, particularly traitor marines. It's been around for a long time.
>Who's the most dangerous in a fight?
Probably Necrons or 'Nids. Neither are understood well enough for the Space Marines to have developed particularly potent tactics against them.

go to bed, Easy Kyle

A ton of Space Marines suffer from extreme arrogance. Fuck, it was the Emperors Childrens reason for falling in the first place.

That arrogance typically goes away once they get their shit kicked in, though, or it leads to their deaths.

SQUAD BROKEN

You rang?

Who would win in a fight? The entirety of the Red Corsairs which probably number in the tens of thousands and are led by Horun Blackheart, one of the most powerful warlords in the galaxy, or the Minotaurs chapter led by Asterion Moloc.

minotaurs are probably bigger than a standard chapter as well

Necrons.

Imperial administrative stupidity has probably caused more Marine deaths than anything else combined.

But other than that,
>Chaos Marines
>Other Marines
>Aspect Warriors

Basically anything else that isn't a monstrous creature is cannon fodder.

Not to be the uber Tau fan but don't Space Marines really fear the railgun cause it destroys their geneseed, so even if they die they can't recover their losses nearly as well?

riptide spam will do that to you

> The Space Marines purge the Tau with even greater hate.

Beautiful.

Where does it say this?

Riptide, its a TEQ so it should do fine against marines

/thread

The gnawing resentment, the bitterness and despair, that can only come from knowing they will never be Ultramarines.

Hey does anyone have the new Sisters of Silence assembly instructions and could post a shot of them? I got some off eBay and have no instruktiones

MMM

BOY

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING IN MYYY HOUSE

I don't have the direct sauce, but from the wikia:
>"The Railgun is roundly hated by the Adeptus Astartes Chapters that have encountered it, for not only does it kill their battle-brothers upon impact, but it destroys or renders inoperable the Progenoid Glands that allow their Apothecaries to create more Space Marines from the fallen. In this way, it not only kills the Adeptus Astartes of the present, but also kills the warriors of the future."

That's the only sauce I have, and it's talking about the railgun on the hammerhead tank.

>Bane of Angels: All units in this formation have the Preferred Enemy (Space Marines) special rule. However, all enemy Space Marine units have the Hatred (Tau Firebase Support Cadre) special rule. The category ‘Space Marines’ comprises all units taken from the following codexes: Space Marines, Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Grey Knights and Space Wolves.

Tau Firebase Support Cadre dataslate.

> "You take my name in vain" said the psychic gold-clad reality warping ten-foot tall giant wreathed in halos of light, dispelling any notion that he was a God.
