So I'm gonna ask again. What do people think the best familiars for Mauler are in terms of:

>Best natural attack cycle
>Best Strength
>Best overall utility

Right now I'm on Flying Fox for the following reasons:
20 str at level 3
Scent
Flying (enough strength to carry a PC with muleback cords)

However I am also considering a goat, and an ioun wyrd.

This is from the perspective of an Eldritch Guardian, so it gets all the feats I do.

>Mind Handbook
I hope its as baller as the Creation playtest

Seriosly, everytime I read one of these handbooks, I just wanna build a new character dedicated to that sphere
Aside from Nature and Destruction. Those are pretty meh

>tfw want to run or play in a campaign for REVOLUTION IN THE PLANE OF FIRE, DOWN WITH YMERI, ELEMENT WAR NOW

>don't have the GM'ing skills to do it, and don't know anyone who'd GM it

>GM doesn't allow magic items
>Allows mythic tiers
>Ok
>Be Monk
>Dual path (trickster/champion)
>Path Dabbling: Enduring Armor
>Deadly Dodge
>Ki power: Barkskin

I came here to survive

Where was the kitsune gunslinger guy from earlier? How cute is the kitsune?

Destruction is great at killing things though.

Can someone give me the rundown on the Skilled Casting Drawback? I assume if you're not under pressure you could take 10 on it, and if you're in combat you cannot take 10? I'm sitting here trying to figure out if there is literally any reason for me to NOT have that drawback, because being stuck making dance checks for every spell doesn't seem like a bad deal when by level 10 my modifier would be +23 at bare minimum, and I could be taking 10 in combat anyway.

>Destruction is great at killing things though.
It is, but its not as fun as the more indirect routes to power.
I will say, though, my favorite Blast Type will always be crystal, and if I ever build a Destruction specialist then I plan on going all out on pimping Crystal Blast

Just remember to shift time and quicken metamagic for 4 blasts in a round!

Would your character have sided with Hoshido, Nohr, or "lolnope magical third option"?

I have no idea what any of that means

Skilled casting requires that you be able to perform the skill, which can be awkward, but you're probably going to be cast successfully all the time. Drawbacks generally don't hinder you that much, provided you've built your character right. Here, you're getting a break because you spend a tone of skill points on a skill that is probably not going to be used very much.

How annoying it is depends greatly on which type of skill you chose.
Afterall, in combat its easier to use Craft (Caligraphy) than it is to use Profession (Chef)
Though the latter is 10x more comfy

Calligraphy is hardly any different from swordsmanship! In fact, the same could be said of painting.

>tfw party ran into diligent Silver dragon Paladin girl
>tfw sucker for silver hair and assertive action girls, thought she was the sweetest thing
>tfw game died three sessions after she showed up

It hurts.

I shat talk Spheres blasting a lot and made one for shits and giggles. It's pretty decent though it feels like you NEED a sorcerer dip if you want to stay competitive, that or some minor CL boosting but regular blasting needed the latter anyway.

There's some stuff for blasters in Gear of Power, assuming it doesn't get cut.

Small and perky > large and floppy

But does it hurt as much as knowing that this world and all you hold dear exist only to burn?

Does /pfg/ ever play fake 2hus?

I don't know any touhou characters other than the ice fairy and the wolf girl!

Nah, I've accepted that pretty well.

I want to play a genderbent Aya!

Ever try a dex-y sword and shield build? You know equal parts bashing and stabby?

>the players pisses off a druid by burning down his miles across fungal garden wonderland
>the druid, to gain revenge, endeavors to kill players
>the druid can't really be reasoned with because the PCs destroyed literally five decades of work
>the players say I'm railroading them into this villain
No, he fucking hates you all for destroying his livelihood.

I want to play a 2hu but the only way to express danmaku mechanically is stupid shit like detonate or hitting yourself with fireballs so I have yet to

Stone to mud
Mud to stone

Get em

Anything involving a shield is shit
Shields blow ass
No matter what you do you are literally never better off using a shield over classic TWF or 2Hander builds

I already did this.

>Druid is earth gliding beneath them
>stone to mud the ground around them
>grabs PC and drags him under
>casts mud to stone
>waits for PC to suffocate
>casts flesh to stone
>casts stone to mud
>mixes in the body mud with the rest of the mud ensuring the body is gone

Except for an animated shield, that's fine.

>Creation
Amazing
>Dark

>Mind

>Time
bretty cool
>War
A bloated mess

>player in my Sunday game switched to a new character, which happens to be a human(?) draconic sorcerer described as being a "drop-dead gorgeous woman"
>player in a different game wants their cohort to be a cute halfling draconic sorcerer girl
>mfw can't tell if these people are intentionally fucking with me or not

Play it cool user, you're here for high adventure, not romance.

Oh please, your secret is safe with us. What's your favorite dragon type?

What the hell is going on in the RotJR forum NOW?

app.roll20.net/join/1770733/2aujeQ

I will turn this thread around right now if you don't cut that out right now, buddy

Cloud dragon

What are Undine best at? Watersinger looks pretty cool.

So you like 'em with carefree, independent attitudes and soft wispy hair?

That's because the entirety of the shield feats are garbage other than bashing finish, which is gated behind bab +11 requirements.

Shields need something like a daze or other condition on bash on top of doing more defensively than a few points of AC.

And the shield feat tree needs some refinement.

Friends let us compile ever more autistic shopping lists. List out the quality of life magic items you can think of.

There's a time and a place for all dragon types, user. That said, I haven't gotten to actually interact with almost any dragons in-game, so I can't cast a real opinion. I think Brass dragons were the friendly tricksters though, right? They sounded fun.

Looks to be different questions each time going off what's posted in that thread.

Are you SwordGuy?

Close! Bronze dragons are the tricksters, Brass just loooooove to talk! All the time! Nonstop conversation! Endless!

Speaking of the Durgens,

In the company of dragons by Rite? ever give that a shot?

If you're willing to burn feats on the Possessed Hand feat chain, you can get a Mauler that has 25 STR at 3rd level and is the perfect anti-mage.

Wait, so if I get an ability that lets me get by on 2 hours of sleep, does that mean I can get all my shit back with 2 hours of rest or is that still all once a day?

You just need 2 hours of sleep, Recharging abilites still needs 8 hours of restful activity including but not limited to sleep.

>In the company of dragons by Rite? ever give that a shot?

What, is that a campaign or something? I wish, one of the few things I want to do in Pathfinder anymore is *actually* interact with a dragon outside of combat.

Nah its rules on playable dragons. Fairly well balanced actually.

If I took an Octopus familiar as a Witch, do I need to keep a bucket of water or something with me to keep it in?

Oh... Well, that sounds fun too! I'd totally try that out if I ever got the chance.

Basically you get the Player Race of dragon, (Taninim). Then you get a special multi class archetype that lets you age as you gain experience.

But of course the best class to choose is Draconic exemplar which is basically a kit class for draconic abilites.

You're stirring the pot for shit on purpose, just because you want to ruin a game.

Fuck off.

What are some oft-overlooked, cheap but useful items?
Stuff like thunderstones and caltrops, y'know.

I don't know if the original user is reading this, but thanks for suggesting the Kraken. I hardly had a glass of the stuff until I was feeling all loosey-goosey and ready for the session.

Wayfinders are very good items, as are horses to put all your extraneous crap on - you know what's nice in the wilderness? A tent. You can't carry those on a character, but a horse can!

>You can't carry those on a character,
Never been camping user?

Not cheap, but I love wagons. My wizard eventually enchanted one with permamencied floating disks, so it could hover on its own. Its pretty cozy!

O-Of course I have, but that isn't something you want to be carrying in a dungeon!

'Sides! Horses are cute and dumb ole goofballs.

You dump Strength, don't you.

Nigga better be ready for dat chuuni dragongrill.

Adventurer's Chronicle/Pathfinder Chronicle
50gp for unlimited +2 to a certain knowledge check out of battle.

Nu uh! I'm always the one that pumps strength! I'm just saying that stuff is awkward to carry in a combat environment!

Are there any items under 2k that help lift objects?
I've already got the Zyzz package (muleback/heavyload) going. I'm looking for Hercules tier shit here.
I suppose potion of enlarge person would help quite a bit. What else?

Unclasping a belt to drop a backpack is a move action at worst.

The 'Awakened From Stasis (Region)' trait allows you to recover spells after 2 hours of rest, but only once per day.

You know what's a zero move action? Getting a horse and keeping the ole buckaroo outside of the dungeon.

It then gets stolen by bandits or eaten by ogres.

NO SHUT UP THE DM WOULDN'T DO THAT TO MY HORSE.

Does pathfinder have a God of Luck?
Preferably a goddess.

Well that's when you eat the ogres

Any DM enough of a dick to do that would be enough of a dick to have stealth gremlins drag your backpack away along the ground in the middle of a fight.

If you're losing your stuff either way, you at least want to keep your move action.

You sayin Luck should be a Lady?

And they've already trashed the items the horse had on it.

One of these days I'm going to use one of my Momiji's pictures for a PC. Or Hijiri ones, they are also cool and I could be a buddhist magician with cool scrolls and prayer beads.

I don't know aything about Touhou beside some tidbits picked here and there.

Yes I would like to legitimately pray to Lady Luck

I don't want to eat ogres, they're stinky! I want to keep my horse! My adorable, goofy horse!

Well that's why you ate the ogres. They trashed your trail rations.

So, what are your guy's "Must Have" Advanced Weapon Trainings and Armor Trainings?

Right now I'm putting it at this:

>Advanced Armor Training
Armor Specialization
Armored Juggernaut

>Advanced Weapon Training
Armed Bravery
Fighter's Reflexes
Warrior Spirit

Has anyone rated all of them on a tier list of usefulness? Honestly with all the changes to fighter I'm half convinced I should write a fighter guide. Especially with the amount of fighter I play.

But ogres are made out of cancer! That stuff isn't tasty, it's mushy and gross!

I want my trail rations! RATIONS!

>one of my Momiji's pictures

What's your Momiji like?

What about my caltrop collection or my one-of-a-kind Masterwork rock? (very rare)

Can't decide if I want to be a punch-orc, or a one-shot, one-kill archer.

Level 7; accepting build reqs. for both.

Anything goes as far as I know.

Min-maxing matters little to me. Flavor is far more important in my book.

H-hey, dude, I was going to do almost the same build. With the same picture! I was first!

Everyone, I need your help.

Is there anything not on list this that I should include? Please help.

Ogre meat ought to be quite nice sauteed

I think I have worded that poorly. I have no build in mind but a bunch of cool pictures with Momiji that I really like. I am going to use the someday.

2hu mentioned you in the RotRL forum spat.

>Needs to be one shot, one kill
>Minmaxing for high damage doesn't matter

???

Look up the handy haversack pack for a similar list

You just need some tarter sause and your good bro. You act like you dont even have fangs.

Gonzo. Dumbasses probably swallowed it.

"one-shot, one-kill" is an ancient turn of phrase.

Shhhhhhh.

I made an Impossible Bloodline for Bloodrager!

It has a Improvised Weapon theme!

Thoughts?

NIGGA I SAID THAT SHIT IS GROSS, I DON'T WANT TO EAT NO OGRE MEAT.

Someone's gonna have to compensate my rare and valuable Masterwork Throwing Stone.

>tfw I never got the chance to commission you for my very own Masterwork Rock

It's ogre meat or my fuckin' boot you spoiled brat!
