FOR THE EMPEROR AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

First for Sisterposters please leave.

Stop it. You're triggering me.

Have we gotten any word yet on which models they're doing next for the made to order thing?

Agreed. Don't come here and meme by posting pics of single sister models and pretending not to know what any of it means.

Since Thousand Sons traditionally don't use vehicles, how would a list that spams Ectomancy to fling foot units via Soul Storm and/or Soul Switch do?

There was coincidentally.

> Nids can be competitive by spamming as many Flyrants as possible.

>Actually decent armies can counter this but it can otherwise be an effective strategy.

I've seen Orks and Chaos handle that with no problem.

I like this thing. I can't help myself.

Beep Boop Initiate Reproduction Protocols.

Diaz daemonettes, diaz seekers, and the Emperor's Children chaos lord rumoured so far

I wonder how the designer of the plastic daemonettes feels that his models are so reviled that many fans want a decades old kit instead

I love when people post their Deathstrike stories. We need more.

So, Veeky Forums, who is more shooty? The Tau, or an AdMech War Convocation that's focusing on being as shooty as possible?

What would you recommend for a roster off of either the Starting Collection set or the Stealth Cadre set? I was really digging XV88s and the Hammerhead Gunship tank.

Go fuck yourself with a pair of scissors.

>People who take these things in games under 1000 pts

That's a big missile.

Even the Tau can't put out three shits a model for the low low price of zero points.

Kastelans are really annoyingly durable too and the allied Knight(s) will rape Riptides but not Stormsurges

Hypothetically, let's imagine GW brings back wargear limits next edition, say:
>Characters can take up to 25 points worth of wargear
>Independent characters can take up to 50 points worth of wargear
>Your warlord can take up to 100 points worth of wargear
>Let's assume some exceptions would be added depending on individual circumstances (e.g. an Imperial Guard tank commander is allowed to take more than the limit's worth of wargear given, you know, he has to buy a fucking tank)
Would this be good? Bad? Ugly? What armies would benefit excessively? What armies would be fucked over?

>Only one rules archive

Sadpasta

Go sit on a sister model, queer.

Cyraxis when?

>Even the Tau can't put out three shits a model
this was not intentional

It's not even good.

>Eldar and Tau still don't give a shit

Quality solution/10

That would be very bad, because then you can't do meme mechanicum character builds who have a ridiculous amount of options they can take which can end up giving you a 400 point nearly unkillable character.

Tau would get super nerfed. Commanders would be hot garbage.
Most of their point costs come in the form of wargear upgrades.

Infiltration Cadre*, the GW store has a different stealth cadre set but not this.

Fuckin neato.
With the current ones, the TTG2 ones and now the Diaz ones my Daemonettes are going to looking really diverse.

Which model is the Emperor's Children lord, its not the one in the Traitors of Chaos pack right?

It only deals one (1) wound to the things that you'd want to bring a fuckhuge missile for.

It's this one.

>Went to the FW open day in May
>Was there during one of the presentations where our main men previewed a bunch of stuff
>Everything in it has come true, even really unlikely shit like Custodes and SoS
>All except Cyraxus and the Knight Porphyrion but fuck that shit

Happy to hear about the diaznettes, but I always thought that lord looked pretty shit. Strange that he got voted back in as well.

A buffmander can easily get away with 100 points of wargear allowance (the build-critical items cost exactly 50, and you're not buying guns) and if you don't want to use him you can just field a formation with no characters like Riptide Wing.

>my Plaserator canoness would still be usable

That's cool.

However, I can't imagine it would really hurt the armies that need to be hurt while hurting armies that don't need it.

Someone said it here before. A core change wont fix the problems unless it's a massive sweep like AoS.

I thought that the next made to order pack was supposed to be space marine themed. At least the request for votes seemed to imply that. My completely uninformed guess is that the Daemonettes were overwhelmingly requested and he was the highest voted EC thing to add something space marine related to the batch and make it more than just "here's the titty you asked for".

You mean the thing that looks like a cross between a Khadoran Warjack and an attempt to build a Knight sized Reaver at a scale that almost approaches a Warhound on the table?

Apart from smashfucker, who would this actually effect?

Let's nerf Nids even more shall we?

juggerlords would feel it

Yes. That thing.
A good thing it's not out yet because it's supposed to be 30k only or at least very hard to get into 40k. So if it's going to turn up anywhere that isn't an experimental ruleset it would be in Cyraxus, which is supposed to be out some time this year at the latest if I am even remembering correctly.

Porphyrion arrives around Christmas.

That's horrifying and I love it.

FW can into grimdark.

I understand that FW Knights and Titans look cool but who the fuck is actually playing games with these things?!

I don't like play games against units that just delete things off the board.

Well shit. Looks like it turning up in the new book is back on the table then.

I hate it because I know my faggot Knight collecting friend is going to buy one and use it as much as he is able to

Well, I could see it turning up in Cyraxus.

As I recall, it's mentioned the world being contested is a Forge World, one that could very well have examples of ancient technology, weapons and engines of war from the Great Crusade era tucked away somewhere.

Cyraxis is going to be mid-2017.

So you don't play against Eldar?

You don't play games against deepstriking melta?

You don't play against Grav?

Hey, you might be a brain in a jar attached to a robot suit, but at least you can shitpost at the speed of light with all your other Skitarii buddies!

What are the chances we'll be seeing some of the old Pink Horrors as well?
Not that the current ones are bad, but just look at these thing, goddamn.

I mean I'm guessing they'll keep doing themes like the did with the Guard, daemons seems like an easy theme to do.

A single Knight Acheron is actually really bad news for the usual Eldar netlists.

This all changes if the Eldar player is allowed to bring in multiple Wraithknights but I mean in that case if you're playing Knights/with a Knight ally to do some heavy lifting you're fucked anyway.

Nah mate, Skitarii aren't in writjing agony 200% of the time unlike Thallax. Thallax don't have time to do anything but feel pain and horror until they lose their sanity.

They asked Space marine AND chaos space marines players what they wanted next. And the CSM players spoke with once voice.

Or if the Eldar was fielding 2+ units of wraith guard in serpants.

>[muffled screams of horror coming from wallet]

Well, luckily I need like a dozen (to have three blocks of 25) and possible one more seeker (to have a block of 5 and 10). Otherwise I'm good.

Will they be in proper metal and not just shit finecast?

I've got a game lined up against raven guard.
Without telling you my list what advice can you give me?

In fucking LOVE the old Gribbles. The new ones are too fucking bulky.

Reminds me of this a bit.

I honestly think the old Horrors are the most Tzeentch thing you can get before you start having to put beaks and feathers on everything. There's something just slightly off about the new ones that kept my from buying too many. Not that they're bad models, I just prefer the old ones.

That's because Marineshitters either have their old models still in production (albeit Fineshit), have vastly superior new kits to compensate for their losses (Devastators...) or are simply too new to even know what old models they'd want back.

If last month's MtO is anything to go by they'll be whatever they were originally. Makes sense from a casting perspective.

For you

I heard late 16/early Q1 17.

Just asking, because GW did start casing their metal minis in Finecast when it came a thing.

Good to know more metal for me. With these I'll have 3500pts. of metal Slaaneshi daemons, all in metal save for 2 chariots (crew and mounts metal) and a soul grinder.

The Acheron can and will delete WG with its template if the Serpent pops, and while durable they are easily glanced to death if focussed. The presence of the Knight prevents jetbike rushes to deal with your anti-armor.

So those cerastus heads probably won't fit on plastic imperial knights, damn

A shame they screwed up so badly with their new Knight heads. Those ones are just absolute garbage.

They'll be out of LoS if you get first turn, so even if you go first you get one real round of shooting at them and it's after they've turbo-boosted into you that you pop them, your template will leave 1 from one squad, he'll have one free mini-D hit on a side without a shield if you don't devote a whole unit's shooting to him, if your firepower hits the other squad his wraithknight and everything else has free rain, if it doesn't then the WG shit on the knight.

>So those cerastus heads probably won't fit on plastic imperial knights

From Forgeworld's Bulletin:

> Four new heads are released today and they’ll fit any of the plastic Imperial Knights from Games Workshop, or the Questoris Knight Styrix and Magaera from Foge World. Order them today to give your Knights a unique look, or add a unifying faceplate to your entire Household.

I like the new ones aesthetically.

Adds a nice Imperial grotesque aesthetic to them.

>something off

I'm telling you that its because of how bulky they are. Look at them; they're fucking jacked.

Compare them to the art

Putting effort into design and heraldry rather than shoving tubes and piping from everything to everything and drawing one symbol on whatever part of the model wasn't covered in pipes was what set knights apart from ad-mech in looks.

>I2

user, if a tech priest said adding more tubes to your Knight would make the machine spirit happy wouldn't you believe him?

Heck, even the Mechanicum Knights don't have tubes everywhere! Just look at the Atrapos, and how sleek it is!

No, because the Tech-priest knows not to add to the holy design, and is therefore a heretek for suggesting this.

I thought the Knight faces in that instance were made to the aesthetic reminiscent of the faces of tech-priest and acolytes, combat servitors and skitarri?

Don't they have a lot of tubes and what not in, around and on the face?

How do different knights synergies with admech as a lord of war? Both imperial knights and the cool foreworld ones

>No, because the Tech-priest knows not to add to the holy design, and is therefore a heretek for suggesting this.
What happens if your Knight got its face blasted off? Then it's going to need a new face, user. That's where the tubes come in.

>People actually get butthurt over Knights
Are you fags really just mad that you can't table every opponent without losing anything yourself? War is about achieving objectives despite horrifying losses, wargaming reflects that. For every Knight your opponent fields, you should have three or four units out holding objectives.

I feel the biggest thing knights bring to admech are large blasts, as apart from a fairly shitty one on the dunecrawler they can't really do that. So the rapid-fire battle cannon seems the best choice, with the thermal gun second.

Dude, I play Blood Angels - clearly I don't get mad about losing.

Don't they also bring the STR 8, AP3 Rending Avenger Gattling Cannon to the table?

That's part of the reason I want to add one to my sisters. Long range heavy firepower on a durable body that can support my armor column.

I may have a "free" one in my future when I finish the terrain at my lgs. I say free because I have to build and paint 2 imperial sectors and a modular cityscape board.

>BA pretending their the lowest of low tier just because they dont have the same cheese main line SMs do
When will this meme end?
When they finally get relentless grav cannons?

>four new faces of war for your knight household
>four pictures of the new faces
>two of them are duplicates; the ad is only showing three of the four
LOL Games Workshop. At least this particular screw up is just derpy and amusing rather than enraging.

Knight Lancer is the scariest one, IMO. He runs fast as fuck and if you let him close in you get half a dozen D hits and some "remove from table" stomps coming your way every turn.

Can those be taken as lords of war?

Ad Mech already have the most disgusting anti-everything weight of fire in the game with heavy grav cannons

...

Oh you know, just playing the SM chapter focused on assault when assault is clearly not as good as ranged combat.
Why bother trying to assault when you can just spam grav?

They literally are the worst performing army in tournaments bar none. They're lower than Tyranids, Orks, CSM and Dark Eldar.

I don't even play BA so this isn't whining, it's just fact.

I bring 3 at 2k points, very effective, at least in causing fear
Alright

>Tallarn guard, with blob, conscripts, lascannon teams and two vets in a box, plus the triple nuke line
>Enemy is space yiffs, who get first turn to start yiffin my way very quickly. A few pods fall and wreck part of my conscripts
>Thank you emperor for conscripts, who march forward as we try to hold the line
>Las cannons flying, deathstrikes pop smoke in preparation for launch sequences on turn 2. Blob forced into melee with a marine squad from the pods
>The yiffs arrive but due to placement have to attack the conscripts or they can't charge. The infinite wall of bodies stalled them, only to watch the whole leftover unit of 20 some get obliterated. Two lascannon teams are destroyed by the final pods that arrive
>Wolves on wolves at my doorstep, blob wins melee with the pod marines thanks to power axes
>There's 12 fucking wolves on wolves up my asshole, with two bigger wolves on fancy wolves too. 20 wolves on foot remain, as do those dastardly drop pods
>Orders come first, I need to finish off at drop pod for objectives.
>Failure, complete failure
>Finally the time comes, only 2 deathstrikes launch
>First shot in the center of both barks on barks misses, clips the targeted pod, some marines and part of my blob
>Utter devestation, part of the blob is gone but so are the one unit of marines, pod blows up and kills more guardsmen
>Comon deathstrike number 2
>Placed in same spot
>Scatters
>Lands between both wolf on wolf IC's, scoring 4 hits on one squad and 2 on the other
>Look out sir fails twice on the one squad, IC down, another dog goes too
>Other squad loses 3 dogs on dogs
>More shooting, only just manages to kill another dog on dog
>Suddenly the emperor protects
>Dogs flee
>They are running men!
>Leftover 15 some of the blob attacks the last squad of pod marines, 20 power axe attacks are a son bitch
>around 500 points left per side
>and the fucking store closes

>[citation needed]
inb4 results from a single tournament with a single scrub BA player and a single flyrant spamming nid player.

All the cerastus ones get the extra run speed, the same number of attacks and the stomps. The lancer gets the bonus initiative, the 5++ in close combat and the -1 to hit penalty other super-heavies and gargantians suffer. He's specialised at killing other knight sized things but for smaller things he's a knight gallant with an expensive 5++ and flank speed.

I'm a big Imperial Knights fan, and at first I didn't like the new heads, but they've started to grow on me and I think that "imperial grotesqueness" aesthetic you mentioned is what is doing it for me. Now I'm thinking of a house that lives on a small, lonely world covered in Dark Age of Technology ruins questing and exploring and finding weird things like Mageara and Cerastus suits and all these face plates. The face plates and lore would look awesome with a main purple scheme, worn and dirty brass trim and black for the Imperial heraldry to keep it nice and dark. Knights with an aristocratic, feudal, yet baroque and stomach-churning feel to them.

ITC rankings compiled from dozens of events and the largest tournament player pool in the world. BA are dead fucking last.

>tournaments
What tournaments? What house rules?

Also
>judging how a codex plays by the pinnacle of WAAC faggotry that is tournaments
Lol

>Just a Gallant with the thing that actually makes it useful
Well, yeah.

>ITC
Opinion discarded.
