Should I use the larger Wulfen shield instead of the TWC shield I am currently using?
It is half again larger, and I feel like it would be closer to what he would actually use as it would cover more than just his torso if used.
Going to be replacing the backpack with one from the old upgrade sprue.

This isn't a monstrous creature!

Sanguinius should be able to move like a FMC, or at least glide.

Blu-tac it on and see for yourself, you don't need to ask us absolutely everything, it's your abomination you're making, make it what makes you the most happy with it when you look at it.

Baited.

He'll probably just get corax's rules. Boring, but consistent.

>tfw be S10 with mediocre statline.
>be Primarch sized in canon
>have no model
>have S5 without giant maul that isn't even a power weapon.

...dammit.

Oh true. Like how Curze is Jump infantry without a jump pack, or how Mortarion moves 16" per turn through the power of farming and drink driving.

>Exorcists
>40k Chapter.

Yeah no, that belongs in the 40kg thread.

So do you.

Just like you!

>>have S5 without giant maul that isn't even a power weapon.
Isn't Alexis Polux a Big Man with S5 base and a Power Combi-Fist?
And Autek Mor is also S5 T5 and thus immune to ranged ID through Inviolate armour IIRC.

See how I'm proving him wrong whilst still ignoring the names in ? That's two baitstrikes m8.

Any 3rd party demonic torsos? Something MkIV style or plague marine gut plate style. I'd get the FW plague marine kit, but I want to swap the helmets.

It's for a WB Dark Channeling project.

True, but he is one of two S5 SM characters in 40k.

Actually, I think he's the only S5 SM character in 40k, Lysander's Hammer just has S10, iirc. Silas' Maul has Sx2.

Wait is this guy back? I was gone for a few days.

Huh, he does have a somewhat mediore statline. If he's the captain of the Exorcist's First Company or whatever they call it/in-line to be Chapter Master, shouldn't he have at least Artificer armor?

Forgot pic.

Looking for some C&C on my list never made a HH list before so things may be changed

2500pt DG - Creeping Death

Praetor
- plasma pistol, paragon blade (MC), digital lasers, iron halo, artificer armour

Legion Siegebreaker
-artificer armour, refractor field

Tacticals (20)
-sergeant w/ powerfist, artificer armour

Tacticals (20)
-sergeant w/ powerfist, artificer armour

Veteran Tacticals (10)
-sergeant w/ artificer armour

Apothercarion detatchment (2)
-2x artificer armour

Rapier Battery (3)
-laser destroyer array

Terminator Squad (10)
-cataphractii, 1x heavy flamer, 4x power fist, 4x chainfist

Contemptor Talon
-contemptor w/ 2x kheres
-contemptor w/ 2x CCW w/heavy flamers

Medusa
-phosphex

Vindicator
- extra armour, laser array

Sicarian battle tank
-lascannon sponsons, armoured ceramite, auxiliary drive

Dumped my extra points into upgrades on the sicarian, do you think it would be better to dump those points in upgrades for my sergeants/characters?

Whoops, he's the Third Company captain.

But still, isn't part of his fluff that he's next in line to be Chapter Master?

Personally, I would take those extra points, drop the Veteran Tactical squad and give the Terminators a Land Raider to ride forward in.

It's 10 termies, they need either a Spartan or a squad reduction. Or a Caestus.

Apologies, I meant Spartan.
>inb4 idiot
Restrictive diet, heads a little fuzzy today.

Just buy a recast russ you faggot

Chill, I took what you said as "those termies need a transport" anyway.
Now that the Spartan us more expensive, I guess the Caestus would become a more attractive option. Say, KA, what's your experience with it?

Another baited-one :^)

Don't praetors come standard with artificer armour? So you wouldn't need to pay for it again?

My mistake yeah I didn't actually pay for it just wrote it by accident

So I just got around to reading the Burning of Prospero fluff. Could someone explain the canonical nature of FW's fluff? Because it contradicts the Black Library books pretty damn hard.

Whichever is newer is canon.

Its a document written in universe, a historical recount of the Heresy so that alone gives you the option that its either incorrect in some manners and thats how the events are perceived by the Imperium or that its correct and BL is fucking horrible at times.

Your choice.

>Its a document written in universe
Ok thanks. From what I understand it follows the old fluff pretty closely, with Magnus actually warning the Emperor and Russ being sent to kill. I just found it strange that they would blatantly ignore the BL HH series.

Do you think Inferno will go with the same fluff or will it follow the BL series of events?

It's best just to choose what you prefer for your headcanon, because between GW, BL and FW having their way with fluff the lore's concistance is real mess

Consistency. I meant to say the lore's consistancy.

I think Inferno will find a way to trigger both BLfags and FWfags alike.

How would the Blighnade do that?

The thing that would trigger me the least would be Emps ordering Russ, who is away, to get Magnus, but Horus warps/supplants the message. So, anything other than that would -1Toughness me. Also, checked.

I remember there was some old lore that said Leman convinced Emps that Maggie was the traitor. Leman is the most persuasive of all the Primarchs. Let that sink in.

Isn't that what happened?

Thats from the SW index astartes entry funnily enough. These days wolffags prefer to argue they got tricked though I have no idea why. Testing their metal against another legion and their hatred of psykers is much more in character imo.

>Leman convinced Emps that Maggie was the traitor.

Original lore is that the Emperor ordered Russ to bring Magnus to Terra for censure but Russ convinces the Emperor that Magnus must die, so the Emperor ends up ordering Russ to kill Magnus and his legion because Russ is a bloodthirsty savage.

Ok that's trigger me a lot
It's what I think would make sort of sense
So Horus dodges the bullet without even trying? The madman
>Inb4 this is the point the thread devolves into Prosperoposting
Told you, user. It'll trigger at least 50%

How did Maggie and the whole Wolfing of Prospero get to be such a topic that causes skub? Do you think GW intended it to be like that? Just to give us something to argue about?

Are recon squads in carapace (artificier cc-sergeant) with meltabombs, ccw and cammo any good?

Jump pack units can, unlike termies, still deep strike as usualy?

If so, recon squad can be a good forward Vox-carrier.

Also; why do the plastic scouts in the land speeder storm box all look like they're all named Chad?

>How did Maggie and the whole Wolfing of Prospero get to be such a topic that causes skub?
Because its the only 1v1 battle in the HH.

Theres also a large bias form BL towards writing chaos Primarchs as always being chaos primarchs whilst only showing the good aspects of the loyalist primarchs.

Good intentions were had, stuff was done wrong and it resulted in a huge mess where Horus could only cry of laughter. No wonder it's so skubby.
They can infiltrate that way, and they could be carrying with them a nuncio Vox for accurate deepstriking. So you CAN make them useful. Also, Storm Eagle DT.

Anything triggers Space Wolf players, they're constantly spoiling to boast, whine and fight if they aren't recognised like they want to be
>just like their legion kek
Players take after their legions, it's why half of /hhg/ plays IW because we're all automata fans, beep boop

Plus their Primarch is in such a jobber tier than the only fair fight would be against Mortarion. It's like having two hobos fight for a sandwich. Or dignity in this case.
Also, dat spoiler.

Recon squads are more points than veterans. Even more so once you start adding wargear so they're no longer tacticals with scout but no FotL. They're on the same list as destroyers, breachers, cerberus, moritats, and champions as unit that desperately needs a change or serious drop in points.

Bleep?! Beep boop bleep? Beep boop. Boop beep. Bleep! Bleeeeep! Boop...
>players take after their legion
I do love me some BAs and DAs but I am not a handsome artistic vampiric transhuman, nor am I brooding tree hating space knight with old school goodies. I guess liking both Angel legions balances the other out?

Woah, you're right. I forgot how many squads became surpassed by Vets.

Please note that I am eternally watchful of trees. They're planning something.

So, you're saying they're bad?

Also, can the sergeant take a sniper rifle?

Like both Angels means you're a frustrated romantic with underlying anger and trust issues.
On the plus side you're probably relatively handsome for someone that plays warhams, or at least comfortable with your appearance.

You fool me not, mutant Illuminati

You aren't wrong.

>Modeling failures and successes
On the left I love this model, his fluidity and how everything fell into place.
The right.... well.
'HOLY SHIT A CHAINSWORD'
Should I just break apart the one on the right and start over?
>inb4 political meme about breaking up the right and starting over.

The sergant can't take a shotgun or sniper thanks to wording.

Recon marines are around twice the amount of points per marine as tactical marines, same or worse damage and just Scout and defensive grenades to show for it. I really, REEEEEally want to like recon squads but they're almost no way to justify including them in your list with that point cost.

>Wolf
>MK 7 helmet

>MkVII SW head and arm
>On resin MkIII
I have no respect for you anymore.

I am having emotional issues with my army. In All my 40k Army's and even in fantasy I never use named characters. All my Army's and there generals are there own unique things. Because I am not very good at the game they never accomplish much and I don't see anyone really important ever knowing about them. But they try the best and that's what matters.

But having to pick a legion "TS" and then being part of this larger whole just kinda brakes it for me.

...

Wow, been a while since I looked at unpainted FW MkIII and I may actually like the plastic ones more. Never thought I would say that but the knees looks really messed up in comparison.

To answer your question, yeah I would probably restart on the right model. You may want to heat and bend the legs a little bit, it sort of looks like he is tip toing to me and im not sure how you will make that look natural.

I've never really considered myself a romantic, and the only source of anger and trust issues I can think of would be myself. I really don't trust myself doing anything right, but I am getting better.
>relatively handsome
Well, golly user, that makes my day. I definitely look better than Fulgrim's ugly mug.

Have you tried not having autism?

Yah it's easy because I don't.

Lack of self-awareness. Classic symptom and always a shame to see.

>'HOLY SHIT A CHAINSWORD'
I think that'd be fixed by turning the head a little, I assume you were going for the "FITE ME" duel stance.
>Godwyn bolter
Don't you ask why people berate you.
Inferno will have that helmet just to spite us, I guarantee it

>Because I am not very good at the game they never accomplish much and I don't see anyone really important ever knowing about them. But they try the best and that's what matters.
You sound like a IW to be honest. Also, try learning the difference between "there" and "their"
Why does the TS break it for (You)?

Ok, I will give you ONE tip for posing models : to make a pose look natural, on the side where the model's leg is placed foward, the arm should be more backwards and vica versa. This is because it is harder to keep balance if you throw all your limbs on one side fowards.
And always do the helmet/head last, so you can find the best looking direction whilst dry-fitting.

Also godwyn pattern bolters. That guy is going full heretic.

>...try learning the difference between "there" and "their"

Doing god's work, user.

Until they make SW Legion heads, what else is there?
And it's not that far out of possibility for a SW Iron Priest to make replacement helmets that look like this.

Will try it out, thanks for the input.

Oh I never ask why people berate me, they always make it abundantly clear

About the bolter, I am not too concerned by it. There are plenty of FW pictures with different legions using Godwyn bolters, and it has some small SW specific decorations. I am not outfiting my entire army with them, only loosely spreading them out to help break up the MkIII monotony

Kek, I had to read it like three times to make sense of it. I hope he doesn't use artillary to cover his infantery as well, get it?

Huh, we have the opposite opinion then. I much prefer the resin ones, but mostly for the helmets.

That's okay user. So long as you can have fun with the modelling aspect and lore of the game, I think we'll get along fine.

Besides, at least you can play games! I envy you for that, as well as your dedication to Your Dudes.

Besides, I think about loyalist Mechanicum, and the crazy amount of customization you can have for your characters and certain units. And that really helps towards making unique characters that I can think up a little lore for by just randomly picking and chosing things, or giving them things that'll synergize well together.

For example, a Magos with Rad Grenades, an Irradiation Engine, and an Irad-Cleanser might be specialised against fighting extremely durable xenos with poor armor, so the rad-weaponry making them weaker is simply a use of efficiency. Or perhaps he derived a sick pleasure from using horrifying weaponry on his enemies, and saw the Horus Heresy as a chance to test them on the greatest warriors man had to offer?

Anyone else do stuff like that? Especially when bored?

>there
>brakes
Fun.

>and then being part of this larger whole just kinda brakes it for me.
Why? TS were a very autonomous legion with Magnus letting them mostly get along with whatever they wanted. Your guys can be however you want them to be.

...

No being part of a larger legion brakes it. I picked TS because I enjoy there lore the most.
Also good point on the there their nonsense. Autocorrect has made many lazy myself included.

Literally anything else. Bare space wolf heads. veteran IF heads like FW used. Just normal MK3 heads

I really think the resin ones look better in most ways, however for some reason the knees just trigger every level of my Autism.

The FW kneepads stick out way too much, even the band that runs around the back of the knee. Makes it look like they all have giant wrestling belts/bucklers on their knees. the plastic ones seem to have a larger "circle" part and they don't stick out as much, so it looks like a more integrated part of the armor to me.

Bare heads.

Regular MkIII heads.

Not really, since the closest thing to the MkVII helm was the Sarum pattern MkV helm which was mostly exclusive to the WE, with the SoH having a similar/same helm.

Fucking hell i still fucked up "their"

That's because the circle on them is a reinforced MkII kneepad. MkIII is just MkII with extra armor bolted on.

You can really notice this by having a couple of the models side by side.

Is English your second language, or just lazy?

It is okay user. You just showed signs of improvement so you get a pass. This time.

Everybody gets one.

And brakes again.

>all these people responding to the absolute cancerous fuckup

And I don't mean the guy who can't type and may or may not have English as their first language.

I understand the origin, I just don't like that specific part of the aesthetics.

Besides, it's not like they needed additional visual queues when the back of the models has clear MKII plates.

Still cracks me up a bit
I'm still not understanding you. Why is being part of a larger legion upstetting you? The Great Crusade is huge and after Gate 42 the Raven guard is the smalles legion, for a while at least, and even then they had 80 000 marines. You don't know 80 000 people by name.

Lazy. When you can just mash a keyboard and the words just appear I just go with the flow and hit post. I should read my posts before posting.

I am going to go back to the lurking now. Mostly because I am waiting on orders and tools to arrive.

I actually like how the Plastic MkIII legs look compared to the Resin ones.
I am also excited to see how GW handles MkII.

I hope they make ALL teh helmets tge glorious one-piece visor, and don't change their berfect aesthetic.

Bls no hurt waifu, GW.

>t. Goncerned Tech-Briest

>after Gate 42 the Raven guard is the smalles legion
Explain.

Thousand Sons had around 10,000 marines at the time of the HH.

Then... do Blackshields. They don't have to be black.

I would be totally fine if they looked the same. Whenever MKII legs are messed with I always worry about it looking like the Michelin Marines

It's not upsetting, I just feel a bit detached. It makes it feel less like my little force and more like I am beholden to the lore.
But things like what you just said make sense.

It hurts to see that, but it also makes me laugh at how stupid someone has to be to mess up banded armor.

I dunno, I like both versions of the helmet. I just hope they don't go full retard with the helmet, they were a hairs breadth away from ruining the plastic MkIII helmet, and basically killed the MkIV when comparing both to the Resin.

So says HH3. Whether you believe it or not, or the full circumstances of it, is up to (You).
I try. (You) see, most of the lore is unwritten and unrecorded. Your Dudes' Adventures - the chronicles. No one will protest, except for that guy who demanded a BL novel in order to fight UM vs WS.

This was changed back in 2010. 10,000 is now the number that made it to the Planet of the Sorcerers.

Aaaand I forget my pic.
>tfw I've been the designated lore-quoter man since a long time now.

>This was changed back in 2010
A thousand Sons has 1200ish marines surviving on the planet of sorcerers. Ahriman says that that is 1/10 of the legion. This is also backed up in that silly book with khan is on Prospero. So wheres your source?

Interdsasting. Salamders and Space Wolves were already about that size so really that seems odd. Really odd.
