What are the best resources for getting good team strategies and general tips? Are there any youtubers (assuming the videogame matches up with the tabletop) worth watching?

Pretty hyped about the rerelease and want to absorb as much knowledge as possible before it comes out.

The rule is for the team that didn't do so hot during their seasons in rookies. If they made little progress and don't want to get thrown into deep vet water, they can stay. But it's the pussy way.

Blood Bowl is a game with not the highest skill ceiling. So much relies on the context of a situation that there really is no "best" just "he is pretty good"

How easy is Blood Bowl to get into/learn?

Are the teams that come with the starter box any good for learning the game/playing against eachother?

Orcs and Humans are THE BEST starter teams because they don't have anything super fancy about them.

The starterbox is especially good because it's not a min-maxed team, so the orcs and humans are closer in power than a typical try-hard-tourney-list

the drills in the box are good at slowly introducing rules too

if you're going 4 black orc and 4 blitzer you're much stronger than a default human team

I don't think two new players with standard 1000tv rosters will see much imbalance. If anything the human roster they give seems to encourage the humans to play ag3 pass game. If they compare their roster to the orc roster they'll think "oh, instead of two strong guys I have two catchers, better throw the ball!"

in either case the strengths of both teams are cut down a lot in the 12 figures you get in the new box

(it's also not, instead of two strong guys, it's holy heck there are 4 guys who are really strong and they still get 4 blitzers wow this is hard to block them)

Do be aware though, workshop IS messing with the current ruleset a bit so things could be a bit out of whack compared with advice and sentiments you might get from us, but also the version everyone's familiar with and plays has had tons of play and is great, so if workshop DOES fuck it up, then you'll still get people playing the old version

Final note, if you get salty over losses, this is not your game, sometimes indestructible dwarf armour breaks, elves fail to pick up the ball and a troll eats your goblin teammate, you have to remember that by the same token, sometimes the dwarf team makes a longbomb touchdown, an elf lineman punches a minotaur to death or a goblin bomber takes down the entire enemy team front row
