But seriously though, if you're moving to the USA I'd recommend avoid New York, Southern Florida, and California, not only are these states choking their citizen's liberties and right to defend themselves, they're also extremely expensive to live in.

You'd be better off heading to Texas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, or Idaho, the state residents are for the most part, laid back, extremely well-armed, self-sufficient, and for the most part, politically conservative. The people are nice and friendly and they usually mind their own business. In addition, if someone tried to break into your house, odds are your neighbors would kill them on principle and no one would bat an eyelid.

Land is cheap compared to the rest of the nation and high quality, if you so choose, you could remain quite isolated from society as a whole. The economy is fairly good, and it's cheap to live, the scenery is quite nice.

The Internet should suit your role-playing needs, and you could always make trips to one of the cities to pick up supplies, or purchase them on eBay or Amazon for a decent price. The urbanites are fine people, but with a much more liberal viewpoint, and less firearms.

Ever since Trump's been elected, my friends, my neighbors, and family have been escatic, and I've attended several celebratory barbeques and parties. I've also slowed down my purchase rate for ammunition, dried food, and medicine, since I know Hillary Clinton isn't going to start World War 3 with Russia or China, attempt to lead a U.N. gun grab, and allow millions of foriegn criminals and Islamic extremists to flood our nation's borders.

In fact, the only problem I can think off of the top of my head is the amount of drug addicts and welfare abusers, but they'll leave you alone if you get a few aggressive but loyal dogs, let them know you're well armed, fortify your home. and set up some game cameras in obvious places. Of course, all you really need is good neighbors, I'd reccomend getting to know your future neighbors before deciding on your home.

I'll back up this guy on Idaho being pretty chill. Thing is, when you're looking for jobs you're up against not just people in Idaho, but also people from western Oregon and Washington. There's a lot of jobs, but getting one isn't always easy.

Came in here to post this. Did 5 years in California as a left-leaner and I hated it. It's literally like high-school 24/7. The people are so passive-aggressive and back-biting it's insane. And they ALL behave like millennials.

As for the answer, West Virginia is one of the poorest states in the country, and is very sparsely populated being in the Appalachia mountains. There are places where it is legitimate 3rd world country level, as in no running water/electricity, etc. That said, it's a pretty state, has some nice outdoors, and is cheap to live. If you're a white person who is Christian you'll probably do ok there. Do not go there if you've even got a dark tan though.

Oregon hates new blood. Theyre absolutely overwhelmed with Californians who are fleeing their shithole of a state, as well as being drawn to their mandatory minimum wage increases, general hipster culture in the cities, and the fact that their state isnt 90% fire Every summer. Every Oregonian I've met absolutely hated the idea of more people moving there, much like Colorado theyre getting slammed with new people. It's driving cost of living through the roof as areas get gentrified and cheap restaurants and groceries get replaced by whole foods and coffee shops. Oregon is still a beautiful state, but be warned that it is a state that you'll really need to have a job lined up first before you move there, competition is fierce for work and affordable housing.

Easiest guide for Eurobros contemplating moving here. If the state is predominately blue or within 10 hours drive of California, odds are it will not be a good idea to move there without a good plan and a job already lined up. This is not a dig at Democrats, but simply mentioning that these areas tend to have lots of people moving to them right now, especially after Trump's victory has convinced many DEM's that their only safe spaces are blue states and cities. Poorer red states will be easier to find work and cheaper living, but tend to be more rural, spread out, and lack many things you will be used to like public transport.

There's a place in Buffalo Grove, IL called Everything Games. They sell 40k stuff at 20% discount and 30% for shit they just want gone. I started a budget Tyranids by just buying 2 get started boxes for 60 bucks a pop. ALSO Illinois is just a good state overall, you can't go wrong in the land o' Lincoln.

Chicago here, can verify that outside of city limits Illinois gets red real fast. Ideally if you want a balanced pub/dem area live in a further out suburb like Woodstock.

Suburbs in any red state should do for you. Rural small towns tend to not have tabletop scenes.

OP, I might have missed it, but did you mention your profession? That should influence you decision a lot. For example, if you're involved with some facet of media creation, then Georgia is a pretty good choice. The price of living is pretty cheap, and the media industry is rapidly growing here. Not only that, there is a lot of diversity in types of places to live (Atlanta is a huge city with a lot of different areas, if you go south then you can hit some nice open rural areas or tolerable suburban towns, and then there are also mountain or beach cities).

As for game stores, there aren't a lot of large ones, but I've lived near a few FLGS that all had decent prices

Honestly, I'd recommend moving to one of the burbs outside of Dallas or San Antonio. The former is just a good area, and the latter comes in flavors of either Mexican or German.

Colorado springs, denver, and 75 denver to ft collins have some good game stores.
I like in OK and denver is only 15 minutes farther from me than OKC.

Albuquerque NM has a good scene too. About 15 mins closer to me than OKC.
