Apologies for the BattleScribe list, poor conduct I know; came up with something new playing hooky at work.

Please reward my sticking it to "the man" with some feedback.

Tried rewriting a list which couldn't decide what it wanted to do by adding a Spartan and building around that. Laser Rapiers ended up in the list because it plugged the last 110 points.

Time to FINALLY tie up Mortarion for more than half a round.

I need some colour help for my Praetorian Custodes (because something being the elitist elite, isn't quite elite enough)

What colours should I use for:

This is the only 'tank' my dudes have. The rest are just rhinos

Blues, especially crystal shades, for the blade, jewels and eye lenses would contrast nicely with the purples of his plume, gloves and tabard.

Planning on using this as some Militia allies for my SW as serf and thrall auxiliaries who've undergone implantation but failed to become proper Marines or suffered from Wulfdom.

Force Commander:
-Abhuman Helots, Gene-Crafted
-Power Armour, Iron Halo, Cyber-Familiar
-Master-Crafted Power Fist, Digital Lasers
= 250pts.

Grenadier Squad (20x):
-Vexilla, Bolters, 2x Plasma Gun
-Sergeant, Power Axe
= 180pts.

Ogryns Squad (6x):
-Carapace
-6x Power Axe
= 370pts.

800pts. total.

I've been thinking of adding either a second squad of Grenadiers or 3 quad mortar Rapiers. Would the Grenadiers benefit from Discipline Collars? I intend to put the commander with the Ogryns to give them a CC and Ld. boost. I know it's a little pointless to have him in both PA and with a Iron Halo/Cyber-Familiar combo, it's more of a thematic modelling thing.

It'd be dumb since Cortus dreads have frontal AV13 5++ basically for free

Oh but I do love my rhinos. It's just that they're more APC's or used as makeshift fortress rather than for what's considered tank things.

Sorry if large-game noob question, but what's the best anti-Spartan tactic, particularly if you've got one of your own rolling up to meet in the middle? Is it worth trying to take it down with shooting attacks?

Hit or miss. As in when it hits it more often than not explodes what it's shooting at, but I also had games where it was snake eyes all the time. But it also always draws anti-vehicle weapon fire away from the rhinos and walking dudes, which is always nice.

Also the laser vindicator is at the best of times 3 slightly better lascannons strapped together. Make of that what you will. I prefer my demolisher cannons

I'm assuming the vexillas were to spend surplus points, since Mortarion makes his children Stubborn. Maybe give the Spartan a dozer blade or auxiliary drive or something.

Sponsons are mostly a waste of points because ordance. But if you think it looks cool nothing is stopping you.

Mine has them modeled because I'm a derp.

It has an ordnance weapon which it can fire at full speed because it's a fast tank but that'll make any other shots snapfires, so there's no point in taking sponsons you'll rarely use.

Normal sicarans are badass with sponsons tho

Abaddons sword 1v1ed the Emperor. Because the first book BL written about the Emperor of Mankind still needed to be about ADB's self insert.

Everyone loses, especially the Emperor, and the only ones left alive by the end are Abaddon, Khârn, Fabius, Typhon, Ahriman and the WB.
And even their are arguably victories, depending on your definition.

The heavy bolters are only flatly superior against T3 or lower and will kill 1.18 marines for every 1 marine that the auto cannons kill

In exchange the auto cannons have more range, can threaten light vehicles and are better against anything higher than T4

This. S7 will ID T3, still AP4, better range, and since it can fire independently you can use it as light AT as well.

Ignoring all the other stuff in MoM, I thought Zephon (the blood angel) was actually pretty based.

What a tip-top guy. It's the sort of thing ADB's actually good for, so much of the book is about how the custodes are better and more important than the astartes, but he includes this dude as a mirror showing the ways in which the custodes are kind of dicks by comparison.
