Do we have any canon inkling of what the Income T-85 looks like or how it's different from the T-70? The Wook shows a picture of a red and black X-Wing, which is apparently from Before the Awakening, but it looks exactly like a T-70 so idk.
Brandon Gomez
KOTE
Juan Sullivan
I still love how much this looks like a Majora's Mask razor sword.
Lucas Peterson
Well, the paint scheme on Black One is actually an anti-sensor coating, so it's possible that might be something generic among T-85s?
But if all they are is a Black and Red T-70 which is somehow better, I'm okay with this.
Evan Jackson
I feel like I got the impression somewhere that it was pretty much just the T-70 with a shiny new paint job, but I could just be making that up.
/swg/, I've been thinking about playing a Chiss for my next EotE game. Are there any pitfalls I need to avoid, like with Mandos?
Jack Stewart
Chis honestly seem really lackluster in EotE, otherwise you;d be best off playing an orphan with no knowledge where they came from.
Like Spiker!
Ryder Hughes
Better image of Spiker.
Andrew Adams
That story was a blast
Adrian Cook
I'm torn. On the one hand, the T-70 is a solid design, on the other I'd kind of expect something that looks really different from other X-wings given how much farther along it is design wise. We'll have to see if they show up in VIII.
Charles Davis
In theory they should seeing as the NR is going to be fighting tbe FO directly after they got Pearl-Harbor-times-a-billion'd in VII. But that's only assuming the people making VIII remember they exist.
Most likely they'll just continue with the X-Wings we've already seen and the people who write the reference books and actually give a shit about that stuff will just label it a 85 to match with previous lore.
Aaron Gomez
OMG TIE Defender in next Rebels episode!
Christopher Phillips
And at least one A-Wing thanks to that set photo.
God I hope Episode VIII actually does and goes to new things
Dominic Diaz
I don't see anything on Disney's youtube, and I would hate if the Defender predated Yavin.
David Powell
>the NR is going to be fighting tbe FO directly after they got Pearl-Harbor-times-a-billion'd in VII
Is this confirmed yet? I mean it's a totally logical assumption based on everything we know, so I certainly hope for something like pic-related.
Yeah that's good! Hopefully we'll see more ship diversity, B-Wings in particular deserve some time in the limelight seeing as they got shafted by bluescreen in ROTJ. Plus maybe we can get some orignal designs as well.
Adam Robinson
...
Connor Smith
>A-Wing
>This is Black Leader, I'm being swarmed by TIEs! >Don't worry honey, I'll help you fight the First Order! >Mooooomm!
Cooper Davis
Ah, a schematic, I can sorta accept it being in the pre-prototype stage.
Justin Price
I hope it's just in the prototype phase. Being in design before Yavin is nothing big, just so long as it's not at production stage yet
Josiah Rivera
There's a screencap of the blueprints, almost literally from an old EU guidebook with Hera at "concern level almost".
We'll know more as the week goes on, hopefully it's like, an early experimental (I/e the /x7) and not the full blown TIE/D design. That said, I think Rebels is trying too hard not to involve X-Wings, so a lot of Imperial fighter tech rolling out doesn't make as much sense as it did in the old EU, where basically like a year or so before Yavin there was a lot of vying for what would theoretically replace the /LN, and the fact that the X-Wing was stolen by the rebellion kind of cinched the need for /INs and /Ds to actually get out there.
Also, god forbid they actually think about what shit to throw in besides fanservice, what role would the defender actually be solving in Rebels, regular Interceptors are kicking the shit ouf of the Rebs and their 15-year old As. It'd make much more sense for them to say, pull the TIE/AG out of nowhere, a convoy escort TIE. That would actually make strategic sense and you could sell some new toys.
Joseph Green
Do you think LFL and FFG talk about XWM any? Does Disney/LF know how popular Defenders are right now?
Josiah Martin
Cool plot could be Rebels do something to disrupt or delay production. Has it as a threat, and let's the rebels be involved with the original trilogy without being involved
Thomas Rodriguez
>so a lot of Imperial fighter tech rolling out doesn't make as much sense as it did in the old EU On the other hand, this could set the stage for the return of classic Legends Sienar, the most magical workplace in the galaxy.
Wyatt Rogers
They've got Wedge now, perfect time to introduce the X-wing
Jaxon Martin
Defenders are fantastic, but I'd love it if they brought back Avengers to fill their old role as the logical step up from the Avanced x1 before you got to the Defender's ludicrously high price tag.
Caleb Hernandez
Hell, worst-case scenaeio they can always just make up some new, even crazier shit to fill in the post-Yavin gaps stuff like the Defender used to fill. That's where all these designs came from in the first place; they never show up in the movies.
Juan Russell
>Sienar I've got four of those posts capped, but the last two showed up black for some reason.
Kevin Baker
See, this sort of thing I think works for Rebels. You already had a little bit of it, and you've got Grand Admiral "Missile Boat" Thrawn in the show now. Give them some Xs and some new aces, they start popping eyes and squints. You need some real new tech out there.
Avengers, Aggressors, even Experimentals they work perfect for a show like Rebels as maybe an episode or a couple of episodes (like the Interdictor episode, which was pretty good) "Holy shit scary TIEs are all over us, we lost another 6 guys in Phoenix."
And then smash cut to thrawn talking with a Sienar exec being like "I need more bat shit crazy fighters!"
Hell, it's the perfect lead in to the TIE Hunter. Storm Commandos are already canon again, pretty sure.
No, I'm not JUST hoping LFL recanonizes some ships so I can get them in XWM
Noah Gray
>new, even crazier shit I can't wait for nuCygnus to shit out something even wackier than the Missile Boat, then.
Mason Rogers
Please post them, I need to save them
Daniel Morgan
Rebels is actually in the ideal time for the theoretical predecessor, the Assault Gunboat. Imagine giving the Ghost a run for her money with some Macross-level shit.
Adam Ortiz
I see Thrawn being more pragmatic. Seeing the rebels as an excellent test bed for designs. They will fail, but he will learn things in the failure.
Christian Stewart
Yes, they need the Gunboat.
I almost feel like this is a test, Thrawn leaking the basics of a terrifying design (that the Empire would never actually fund till they started losing dogfights) just to lure the rebels in.
Justin Stewart
>Gunboats ambush the Ghost and destroy it in an orgy of missiles and lasers >Wedge, the sole survivor, becomes the new protagonist >Cast rounded out by Hobbie, Biggs, Porkins, and Garven Dreis >X-Wing: The Animated Series A man can dream.
Nicholas Smith
What we really need is to bring back Grand Admiral Zaarin. He was the real guy pushing insane fighter designs until something stuck.
You. I like you.
Zachary Jones
>Thrawn can't defeat the rebels, he just doesn't have the time or the resources. >Emperor reassigns him to the Outer Rim to oversee more interesting but less prestigious projects >His replacement will be a new Grand Admiral, and he has some ideas.... >Shot of blueprints of a TIE Avenger
Dylan Clark
Hera is ok. I can stand her being injured and forced into mission command base officer mode. Sabine too, maybe
Jaxon Stewart
Parting shot of Thrawn being introduced to his new flag captain, and his glorious white moustache
Juan Wood
It'd be salt and pepper pre-Yavin at least, surely?
Andrew Cooper
>mission command base officer mode Maybe, though I feel like she'd need a bigger, badder ride than a light freighter for that sort of gig. A proper home base to accommodate all those shiny new T-65As that we'll probably be seeing soon.
Ryder Martin
>It'd be salt and pepper pre-Yavin at least, surely? Well, pellaeon would have been I think 52? as of yavin, so it could be, although all-white is certainly entirely possible. I, for one will almost certainly be completely white-haired by 45.
Kevin Wright
Rebels is like 3BBY, so mostly white, very little grey.
Nathaniel Williams
My father's up around 50 and still pretty black-hair heavy.
Daniel Thomas
The T-85 hadn't been designed yet, so they were forced to use T-70 designs for it in Before the Awakening.
Source: Pablo.
Camden Lee
I keep forgetting what game/engine this is a mod ofr.
Jordan Wright
Just wanted to say that this series is top-tier.
Sebastian Diaz
I still remember the one where Boba Fett straight-up murders that pirate with a fucking magic trick.
Ryder Rodriguez
But Hellion clearly is glorious Silver not long after Yavin
It's fuckin' great. Honestly, I'd love a good Star Wars series that just follows a group of nobodies and scoundrels who're desperately trying to survive in the chaos and destruction of the Galactic Civil War.
Elijah Murphy
Well, the New Republic was demilitarizing itself and the Resistance is a small cell scrounging together what leftover equipment it can. Since half of their T-70 fleet was destroyed at Death Planet 9000, it only makes sense that they would find a mothballed squadron of old T-65's to help improve their numbers, complete with a volunteer group of semi-retired veteran pilots whose old-fashioned warmongering ways have put them at edge with the newly pacified surrender-monkeys running the New Republic. And so that Denis Lawson can reprise his role as Wedge Antilles to become a pivotal member of the resurgent canon.
Jacob Turner
>mfw I have the comic that's from It's pretty good.
Hudson Peterson
I love these little pigbats.
Caleb Foster
Their story may have been dumb but these guys look like they could have been good dumb muscle for the likes of the Hutts.
Jacob King
This helmet was also cool.
William Collins
They did contribute to a truly amazing cutscene, though.
That doesn't work at all, why not just link to the video with a timestamp?
Gavin Collins
>Hera doing the maths on how many of Phoenix Sqn is going to survive contact with the enemy
A: None of them!
Christopher Bailey
I don't remember if this a tusken tent or a survival tent, but I hate bioware for mirroring the frozen OUTSIDE skin of the survival tent for the interior, even when the heater is clearly on.
I have em too (around here the story was split between multiple magazines).
Brody Gutierrez
>Zaarin for Season 4
Fuck yeah. Throw in Steele and Harkov, and we're all good.
Kayden Adams
For you user. The whole thing actually started when I inquired about whether Sinear would fund a "fighter" armed with capital ship class turbolasers, to which the answer was a resounding "yes".
Jaxson Ward
This was my contribution to the writefaggotry, ignore the rampant typos.
Colton Myers
FAST
Benjamin Watson
Goddamnit I just realized that my terrible caps cut some words off. If any user has better ones feel free to come forward, otherwise I'll check the archives and see if I can get better ones.
Ayden Lopez
I got the last one
Carter Jackson
What're the pitfalls of being a Mandalorian?
Aiden Evans
I'm guessing that the most common pitfall is being insufficiently metal. Traviss and Filoni Mandos are chump change compared to the glorious KOTOR Mandalorians.
Zachary Nguyen
All cropped and purdy
Bentley King
>return of classic Legends Sienar
We can only hope
Liam Johnson
I figure by pitfalls, he means info and restrictions your character needs to abide by IC. Things like Mando's always wearing the armor, and the like, that will get you in a bit of trouble if you forget them.
Grayson Hernandez
Looted rebel defenders for x-wing incoming
Pilots include two versions of Sabine
Lucas Hall
>Still no looted Interceptors >Still no Lieutenant Kettch
Henry Phillips
NOICE, thanks a million user
Daniel Gutierrez
New species announced for No Disintegrations for EotE.
I wonder why the Jedi use fighters and not shuttles on their missions. Hyperspace travel isn't instant y'know.
Brody Cruz
Any guesses on how the Martial Artist tree is gonna work from No Disintegrations? Think it'll have a talent to change the ruling attribute of brawl to Agility?
Luke Perez
>change the order's main starfighter They didn't. Plenty of Jedi, including Plo Koon, kept on flying the Delta-7. The introduction of the Eta-2 just happened to give the OJO a GOTTAGOFAST alternative.
Brandon Gutierrez
In the movies you can apparently get from anywhere in the galaxy to anywhere else in a couple hours.
Leo Butler
Post ruusan reformation we have the jedi service corps, but before that, what do you think happened to jedi in training who were not allowed to progress to knight, for whatever reason?
Charles Stewart
Jedi agricorps. Have fun talkign to plants and building wells on outer rim colony worlds that makes any african clay town look like manhattan
Jackson Sullivan
Ah shite read After Ruusan, not before ruusan.
Hunter Morris
yeah, that's why I asked. Though there's nothing preventing them from going a bit Roman republic style and dumping the initiate on some far away outer rim world, barely farmable, with a small patch of land. You paint a vivid image of Afrihattan IV though.
Jackson Cox
It makes one wonder why nobody in the Agricorps was ever successful or entrepreneurial enough to start an agribusiness. Surely, Force fuckery would lend itself well to farming and animal husbandry.
David Garcia
Jedi indoctrination. To break from the Order is to break with the only family you have ever known. The order provides everything you need, so why go into business and risk losing everything?
Josiah Peterson
SFS hires you to design a new TIE.
The catch is Raith wants it to be like a TIE/LN but with double the... Everything.
