TECHNOLOGY!

AND COMMERCE!
These are the pillars of INDUSTRY!

Whatever this thread was going to be, it can't not be a Shadowrun thread now.

Welcome to the Corporate World.

I don't think anyone would be not OK with that.

All three of these are my fetish, to a lesser or greater degree.

Business thread?

Hello fellow Shadowrunners! I too do the computer crime!
Have you done anything to fight against our oppressive company overlords lately?

Business you say?

Most of my more modern/future stuff is chicks with with more or less robot bits and guns.
Any more of these more business and business casual stuff?

Sorry, I just have anime grills in suits.

This kind of future anachronism stuff needs to be its own thing. You see a lot of it in Alien, for example, but it's just window dressing.

I think one user called it DOSpunk once, but that was in a joke thread

Eh, that's close enough to what I wanted.

Excellent taste then, user.

The art of this character gives me mixed boners. On one hand her proportions are all fucked up, on the other hand pretty green muscle slut.

I love INDUSTRY!

Business, business, numbers, business.
Is this working?

>No one on the board knows everyone on it.

I KNEW professional wrestling was connected to the Illuminati!

Nice "king" you have there.
Friendly reminder that the investment bankers who have politicians on their payroll are the modern day nobility.

Why do pictures like this always makes me assume they are a couple in romantic relationship?

Also when dragonids will become available as playable race in sahdowrun?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw that.

1. SURGEs and Drakes have been a thing since 4e
2. They are a terrible idea

Pretty good, but needs more pockets.
Does construction count as INDUSTRY?

I wouldn't put your chances of infiltrating the corporate offices THAT high, but you'll probably fool some middle managers

>Why do pictures like this always makes me assume they are a couple in romantic relationship?
Meh, to me they look like a young, human rookie and a dragon who's been in the business for years, clawed his way up from the bottom (sometimes literally) and refuses to shut up about it.

I dunno, they looks like co-workers to me. Maybe the dragon is the boss, as he looks much older, but he looks like the kind of boss everyone likes because he ACTUALLY WORKS.

>No Andrew, I'm not going to tell them their business strategy is 'Sikh'

Kek.

The truth is, when the screamsheets and blogs say the hyper-rich are playing games with the money of the world's poor, they don't know how right they are...

I need Suits! Sports Jackets! Ties!
For Business reasons!

Jumpers, blazers, and other fashion words I don't really know what they mean!

As a general question, how likely do you reckon an artist to put up art/send images for non-commercial reasons if you contact them through the channels on their website?

There's so many people who do good art for netrunner but only put a tiny bit of it up on their sites in full pic form

Now, Business TV!

Stuff like this makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
Maybe because I work in sales and it sucks sometimes.

That looks more like retail.

costumer service professional advicing a customer on the proper channel of resolving their issue

Customer Service.
It's a call center, which is just about the only thing worse then retail.

Be ready to stop feeling warm and fuzzy then
animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2015-05-07/depressed-office-lady-drawings-strike-chord-on-twitter/.87894

Buisness, indeed.

>which is just about the only thing worse then retail.
I would have thought the other way around, but I've not worked either (sorta done retail, but not in a shop)

...

Call center/customer service is basically like retail only EVERYONE is angry with you rather than 10% of customers

Your job is to deal with people who have problems after all

As someone who's done both, call centers are MUCH worse.

That's true I guess.

I can relate way too much with these.
One of the most depressing things of my week is having to turn my alarm back on Friday night, because I have to work the weekend. And one of my most satisfying is turning it off on Wednesday night because I have the next two days off.

...

Now I feel bad for all the times I've been mad at people who weren't responsible for anything. I'll be more considerate in the future.

Yeah you fucking should, asshole

It's hard not to be mad when something's fucked up at your end that wasn't your fault, but it's also worth remembering that a) the people on the other end are human too, and b) it's almost certainly not their fault either, and it's their job to help you - would you help someone who's ranting and raving at you over the phone?

On the other hand, they can also be thicker than pig shit, which doesn't help when you're already pissed off

...

Same attitude at every pay grade, it's the company ethos really

I've worked in call centres for far too much of my life, and I can confirm that by far the best way to get your problem dealt with quickly and easily is to be polite and friendly to the poor sod who's taken your call.

They may be thick, but more likely they're just a regular person between the ages of 25 and 40, childless and financially struggling, trying desperately to stave off the reality that they have failed to fulfill their potential as a human being.

If you start swearing and ranting at them, you're as likely to get hung up on as you are to talk to a manager. Most firms have a policy that if you keep being abusive after you've been warned about it, the employee can hang up on you without consequence.

>Sometimes in business you have to promote a proactive and dynamic strategy, as illustrated here

>as you are to talk to a manager
I've found this tends to be pretty rare - the person you get passed to tends not to be able to do much differently (if at all) to the initial guy.

Though I have had an exception, which was also probably the best damn customer service I've ever seen.

But CEO Dunkelzahn accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction: SHADOWRUN X.

BOOM!

Thus, the SHADOWRUNNERS were born! Using their ultra-techy-magic, STREET SAM, DECKER, and SHAMAN have dedicated their lives to MAKING MONEY and SCORING BITCHES AND HOES!

>the person you get passed to tends not to be able to do much differently (if at all) to the initial guy.

Often as not, the initial guy was doing as much as it was possible to do - even if he'd had more access or authority he wouldn't have been able to solve your problem, and the manager's basically just confirming that for the customer because they weren't satisfied with that answer coming from a base-level employee.

Generally, managers have greater levels of access to customer info databases and stuff and so they can sometimes override processes that might normally take a few days of back-and-forth between departments for approval or similar. But if something is just flat-out impossible to fast track, they're not going to be any more help than average Joe.

And screencapped

>W-w-w-welcome to the world of corps and dragons

Sold in a huge ass box that offers no real insight to the prospective buyer of what it is, until they pick it up and feel things unevenly distributed inside of it, and then see the... efforts of the paintjob on the back.

And the fucking fonts. each one is a pain to read. Red on green "Dragon" in psuedo asian font, block white font with no consumer information on it... Ugh.

AND PLEASURE

Yup, the 80s and early 90s.

I really like this. Why have I never heard this?

If you're going to be showing that much skin on here, there needs to be an urn in the picture.

Maybe some gauze and flying babies too.

Would Freud be a Cipher or a Guvner?

Also I'm sorry if this picture doesn't align with anyone's interests.

Nah, just needs an urn. Nude women are only art if there's an urn in it.

...

>the paint looks like a phallus, get it.

it aligns with my sides, which are now sailing away

I laughed. Imagining him wobbling about with a slightly sped up RTS game walkcycle.

Then have another. I think they'd make ideal minion material.

Ok, so... This is either a Vampire whose boss is a Gnome/Halfling/Leprechaun, or a a fairly normal Discworld Igor.

Either way... my sides have been decimated.
