Who drew this?

Who drew this?

John Blanche

Thank you

I guess this is a cool-art general thread, now.

Eh, why not.

Interesting stuff about Blanche. Apperently he works with really dim light and the stuff he makes is pretty friggin small irl.

WE had enough rouge trader art time for just 40k art in general

Wait. Is Fulgrim not wearing pants?

has he drawn every primarch?

This one right here represent what is 40k perfectly imo.

I think thats all my Blanche stuff. If anyone has a request I can see what I can find.

I still have no idea what he was going for with Alpharius

And that's just how Alpharius wants it.

He should make the cards of the Imperial Tarot. I need this in my life.

It does look a like he's got a loincloth on yes

So, does anyone know if Hereticus was supposed to get a dedicated marine chapter at some point?

Thanks man, this is a cool thread.

man, that looks fucking stupid

...

...

Is that a Culexus assassin?

If it is, then I'm fairly sure it Twerks you to death by melting your groin like an Asylum Demon at 30 twerks per second

tech priest assassin called Remiare, from the horus heresy card game.

It's a wonder Blanche hasn't put heels on space marines yet.

>Apperently he works with really dim light and the stuff he makes is pretty friggin small irl.

Yes, and he does this for a reason. The reason his art looks so timeless, is because he's using pre-industrial conditions to produce his work.

There was a documentary on my favorite artists, Hieronymus Bosch and Albrecht Dürer, artists from the 16thC who loved some chaotic hellscapes, and hyper detailed woodcuts.

Guess who showed up to talk about his major inspirations?

Anyways, dumping a mix of Blanche, Dürer and Bosch art now.

Whats the name of this documentary? Im interested.

I have to find it. It was on youtube years ago.

Whoops meant to link to

That's kinda the draw, the primarchs Blanche drew look bizarre and otherworldly. Being near them would be unsettling.

His 40k stuff will never be as good as his fantasy stuff.

Wow, BlancheCrons are my new favourite 'Crons.

I see this guys art on a ton of 40k novels

a computer.

Looks like Bisley in his Photorealistic stage.

Are you honestly surprised?

Rincewind? The fuck? I don't remember Rincewind doing anything like this.

Smith and Blanche are my two favorite Warhammer artists. Blanche makes Warhammer weird as fuck, while Smith makes it badass.

I don't think so.

GW is actually doing that for an event they're holding at Warhammer World.

She was also in a short story.

I just want to say thankyou for this thread, loving all the art so far

This.
Smith's art to me is the hard reality.

Blanche is the essence.

Each time I see this I want to collect some black templars, before I remember that they have the most boring of colour schemes.
