The general premise is that you get to make a waifu that's as badass and amazing as you want, but the more qualities she has, she harder you have to work for her affection.

So basically you start with a generic cardboard cutout that loves you completely and obsessively, and work up to your 15/10 perfect waifu with magical powers and/or rock-hard abs that sometimes has a hard time seeing you as human, let alone a potential mate.

It's card games, user. I suppose in a way it could be perceived as comfy, but the presentation I've got in mind won't likely make it seem that way.

Heh, same on the Symbiote girl, almost quite like her but the 40k-esque "might want to rewire you to get off on killing" space marine bit is a little bit offputting. Though she seems to combo really well in a magnetism build with other soldier/militant choices, like Kallura and Sabhya.

Though on that note, and in general,
I'm thinking about how some people complain when waifu-shit and fetish-shit gets into adventure or power-fantasy CYOA and messes them up,

overall feels kinda like the opposite, where it's a waifu CYOA with a whole lotta space opera stuffed into it like some kind of reverse stardust; Given that a good many of these choices will result in you either becoming an active combatant of some sort, or an accessory of some sort to some kind of intergalactic politicking.

I think you have one too many boosters. Flawed boosters say turning one of your existing boosters into a flawed one gives you an extra, so you should have four (two normal, one flawed, one extra) rather than five.

Depends on the FF. XII and a couple of others let magic miss, but the chance is really low most of the time, although the XIII trilogy has abilities that make the miss rate 100% for a short period, but prevent you from acting otherwise.

XV is basically an action game, so there's a button for dodging, and enemies can dodge your attacks, but usually won't be able to.

The description in the CYOA reads like mostly fucking in public, with jealous suitors challenging you or her constantly wanting in on your relationship. These suitors seem more the brawling rough-and-tumble type than the vaporizing murderous type though.
