I know it's >Skywind but I like some of their fanart

Does Trinimac still exist? I know Malacath is said to be a changed Trinimac, but Trinimac is still worshiped by the Altmer and some Orcs.

You know what really satisfies my autism? Those worker halls in Vivec. A certain degree of realism in logistics/economics is always nice, so you don't have products you can get from merchants, bandits, container loot etc. but that aren't actually being produced anywhere.

No, he doesn't.

For those who don't know, these are the
>Glassworkers Hall
>Potter's Hall
>Tailors and Dyers Hall
>Farmers and Laborers Hall
>Tanners and Miners Hall
I also just noticed I forgot to take a screenshot of the Brewers and Fishmongers Hall

So is Trinimac worship based around who he was instead of who he now is?

Yup, exactly.

>Trinimac is still worshiped by the Altmer
No, the Altmer think he's ded.
>He vanishes from the mythic stage after this, to return as the dread Malacath (Altmeri propaganda portrays this as the dangers of Dunmeri influence).

Tell me about the Orcs.

Do Orcs today know they're descended from elves?

Why do some Orcs want to worship Trinidad instead of Malacath?

Are Orsinium orcs not members of the Empire as Orsinium isn't a province yet?

How did the whole enmity between Bretons and Orcs begin?

Do orc tusks have any cultural significance?

Are orcs still considered elves?

Do orcish smiths ask if you're looking to protect yourself, or deal some damage?

Fuck, Trinimac not Trinidad.

>Do Orcs today know they're descended from elves?
Yes.
>Why do some Orcs want to worship Trinidad instead of Malacath?
>For the new Orsimer, Trinimac is the culmination of their dreams and desires. The warrior god personifies culture and civilization. He calls for unity, not discord; for strength, not malicious chaos. He stands for unifying the Orsimer. For elevating us above our baser nature and making us equal to the other races.
>Are Orsinium orcs not members of the Empire as Orsinium isn't a province yet?
That depends on which Orsinium, which Empire, and which time period you're talking about.
>How did the whole enmity between Bretons and Orcs begin?
Land disputes.
>Do orc tusks have any cultural significance?
Probably/definitely.
>Are orcs still considered elves?
Technically, on a scholarly level, but not culturally.
>Do orcish smiths ask if you're looking to protect yourself, or deal some damage?
Seen any elves?

I've been away for 2 weeks, anything interesting/worth knowing happened in that time?

Also, something I've been wondering about is when you run a TES campaign do you put all the deep lore stuff in there, or keep it simple? Does the knowledge and interest in lore of your players matters when you make that decision?

>Vivec
tesgfags are so in love with this shit god

>I've been away for 2 weeks, anything interesting/worth knowing happened in that time?
No.

>all the deep lore stuff in there, or keep it simple?
Like everything else that depends on your players. Unless you're playing with people you know to be lorefags just keep it focused on the high fantasy adventure aspects, and sprinkle in strange stuff to keep things cool. This is also more in the spirit of the setting, I think.

What's the deal with nirnroot, lorewise? Is it connected to the heart of Lorkhan somehow? In Skyrim there was a dead alchemist with a journal saying he wanted to see what was downstream of this pond with lots of nirnroot growing, and downstream you came across some spriggians. Are they connected with the heart too?

Last weekend was pretty awful. Don't bring up plate tectonics

I don't even like Vivec (god) that much and I think he's highly overrated, I just think his city is dope as fuck. I wish I had some good fanart of Mournhold though.

I'm OP btw

>Nirnroot
There's only speculation. I think any metaphysical connections might be due to the fact that when Red Mountain goes off there's either a lot more or very few of them, don't remember.

Threadly reminder Lorkhan did nothing wrong

>I just think his city is dope as fuck
Me too user. I'm very excited to see it in ESO in a few months time

...

How is that bait?

Not him, but although ESO isn't as bad as many people claim in my opinion, it is completely shit at doing cities. I wouldn't set my hopes high.

My hopes aren't high and I'm wearing nostalgia glasses for sure, but I'm excited to revist a place I spent a lot of time with while growing up

Riften was comfy af though

Let's get back on the topic.

Only because it already was like that in Skyrim. And even then all cities in ESO are basically just trading outposts they don't feel alive at all, unless you consider a bunch of players running around chaotically alive. They didn't even bother with making most of the towns look unique, only those that we already knew how they should look like. All the other ones are just different layouts of same buildings.

>Imperial Citizens love to visit beautiful Vivec with its steam-parks, canals, and monuments
>steam-parks
What's a steam park? Giant open-air sauna?

So, should I more quickly dispatch the enemies of Daggerfall and King Gothryd with a two handed long sword, or defend the people and my King's lands with an arming sword and shield? Both are knightly and have their own virtues.

>Long popular in the West, the mass-produced, one-handed, double-edged heavy broadsword commonly used by the Legions is descended from the original elaborate, decorated Breton broadsword designs.
>All broadswords are commonly used with sword-and-shield techniques, the Bretons favoring the heavy tower shield, while the legions prefer a smaller standard-sized shield.

So where did this stereotype of Bretons being sniveling little mages come from, instead of professional warriors?

From buttmad Redguards, most likely.

Transcription error, it's Steam Punks.
Think Dwemer with a top hat.

I assumed it was like a thermae compound.

Could it be something like a museum or gallery? Late 18th Century Europe had a (short?)-lived "automaton craze" - hence the reason we have intricate cuckoo clocks. Maybe this is something similar with people visiting to look at Dwemer steam automations... probably not of the stabbing variety.

Might be related to Dwemeri Steam Gardens.

How useful is Destruction vs Mysticism both in Morrowind and in lore?

Mysticism has Absorb health and all the TP stuff in Morrowind so it seems like it can do more than Destruction. Lore wise what can Destruction do to beat Mysticism mages who can stop time or whatever?

>what can Destruction do to beat Mysticism mages who can stop time or whatever?
Cry and beg for their lives

or wait till skyrim where mysticism does not exist

uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Response_to_Bero's_Speech

Lore-wise
>Bero calls Empress Morihatha's Battlemage Welloc "an accomplished diplomat" but not "a powerful student of the School of Destruction." I congratulate Bero on correctly identifying an Imperial Battlemage, but there are many written examples of Welloc's skill in the School of Destruction. The sage Celarus, for example, wrote extensively about Welloc casting the Vampiric Cloud on the rebellious army of Blackrose, causing their strength and skill to pass on to their opponents. What is this, but an impressive example of the School of Destruction?
From Response to Bero's Speech

In-game, I personally prefer Destruction, but that's just me.

Lorewise, Destruction is probably the weakest school of magic other than Restoration.

uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Mysticism

>There are few mages who devote their lives to the study of Mysticism. The other schools are far more predictable and ascertainable. Mysticism seems to derive power from its conundrums and paradoxes; the act of experimentation, no matter how objectively implemented, can influence magicka by its very existence. Therefore the Mystic mage must consign himself to finding dependable patterns within a roiling imbroglio of energy. In the time it takes him to devise an enchantment with a consistent trigger and result, his peers in the other schools may have researched and documented dozens of new spells and effects. The Mystic mage must thus be a patient and relatively uncompetitive philosopher.

Mysticism is esoteric as fuck even compared to other magic disciplines.

>It certainly isn't a coincidence that a master of the School of Illusion cast this attack on the School of Destruction. Illusion is, after all, all about masking the truth.

Malviser is savage as fuck

Well, Fire Damage is a Destruction effect, after all.

He must have a bonus to frost damage, because that's cold as fuck.

Reading this responce must've been quite a shock for Bero. He probably considers the battlemage community to be extremely toxic now.

Not the whole community. Just the ones that specialize in Poison Damage.

>Restoration
>weakest
>RESTORATION
t. Colette

Bero was a troll. He used sophistry to steal research grants away from the other schools for lulz and never was interested in honest debating, hence the arguments that don't stand up to scrutiny.

Is necromancy bad? If so, why? Was the ban of necromancy by the mages guild necessary/reasonable?

Being told like that can really drain one's willpower.

>Is necromancy bad?
Of course not.

>Was the ban of necromancy by the mages guild necessary/reasonable?
No, they're all faggots.

>Restoration
>Weakest
>Being able to stop giant ice spikes and fire balls
>Vaporizing zombies
>Ward circles
>Most basic spell in the school is able to bring someone back from near death
>Instantly cure almost any disease short of Blight or the Knahaten Flu
>Weakest
>Weakest

It's a talent like any other, not good or bad except when applied. The Mage's Guild ban was more a matter of a debate over the ethics of the practice being blown way out of the water by Mannimarco being a psychotic edgelord cunt and giving respectable necromancers a bad name.

But how does it work? Are you slaving the soul of another living being, or the body is just like a robot?

>Why do some Orcs want to worship Trinidad instead of Malacath?
Because it's better than worshiping Tobago
In all seriousness, the fact that Trinimac worship always pops back up when the Orcs rebuild Orsinium is not just a coincidence.
Moloch is the shattered remains of Trinimac. Shepherd of the outcasts and pariahs, the unwanted people who have no home to call their own. Basically Trinimac's demise is in its own sense allegorical to the Orcs own situation, their constant search for a homeland. So in the event the Orcs actually find a home, many see this as a sign that Trinimac is not truly dead. Likewise it can be easily understood why a god like Moloch makes for bad patron to an actually settled people. Gortwog for example, bringing back Trinimac worship is kind of a symbol to be read by the Orcs that they have found a true homeland, that they are no longer scattered.
Understandably the Orcs attribute all of Orsinium's downfalls to the wrath of Moloch.
>Are Orsinium orcs not members of the Empire as Orsinium isn't a province yet?
Well technically all of Tamriel is claimed by the Empire so all Orcs are under its jurisdiction, though whether or not their tribes are actually administered by the Empire cannot be said (my guess is that they would just pay some tribute to the people who own the lands they live in).
Orsinium though (I'd assume you are referring to the modern Orsiniums), an actually kingdom would almost definitely have to subject itself to the Empire or else prepare for war.
>How did the whole enmity between Bretons and Orcs begin?
The Orcs of the first Orsinium were fairly brutal raiders and terrorized the entire Illiac and Bjoulsae regions which kind of started their enmity. There is also just the general fact that Orcs very often result to banditry.

Read the bit before the comma.

Trinidad and Tobago are, as we all know, two minor gods of alchemy.

Necromancy was only banned because Traven went full SJW.
According to "The Path of Transcendence" books, Cyrodiilic necromancers were more into theoretical research and shit like reanimating rare butterflies and crabs. According to "The Exodus", they were reanimating dead family members too.

It's possible to animate a body without effecting the soul. You're either energizing a corpse with magicka or by binding a lesser daedric spirit to it, or you're binding a soul, white or black.

Obviously black souls or daedric thralls are more potent than just shoving an animal spirit in and hoping for the best.

>shit god
>vivec

That's not how you spell Trinimac.

At least Trinimac didn't get fucked in the ass by Molag Bal

>not getting fucked in the ass by Molag Bal
Look at this fag and his bitch boy god

You seriously think that's worse than vore/copro?

It's one of those things like eugenics. Great idea in theory, could be used for a whole lotta good, only used in practice by assholes and idiots.

Depends entirely on what form Boethiah had in the moment. If it was a man, than yes it's horrible. If it was looking like a woman, yeah I would prefer getting eaten.

Wew

You will never be eaten by a daedric prince.
You will never be shat out by out of her bowels.
You will never watch your master race worshippers degenerate into tusknigger troglodytes.

>her
?

I still wonder how and why someone draw a porn or write a smut about Boethiah and not get fucked by it. Does she/he/daedra secretly likes porn about itself?

>Dare you enter my magical realm of Oblivion?

Do you mean the Pillow Book? I thought it was just about walking the cultists home gently.

user, that's the lewdist thing I've ever heard.

Pillow Book is in-universe one solid proof that cultists of Boethiah is depraved pervets. There is not other smut (or almost smut-like) book about daedric prince ever.

And I'm really not I to futa, so that's only Meridia for me.

>Meridia
The shittest taste after Malacath.

You can't stop my infinite boner for light and UNDEAD SMITING.
Besides, Azure is worse.

>Azure is worse.
Azura is the greatest of the Daedra, I would follow her without question

That's not how you spell Peryite user.

>following the weakest daedra that has no unique domains
kek

Just because she occasionally polish your spear doesn't meant she is a greatest.
At least Nocturnal gives you a key to her bedroom.

He's got The Pit and he's got the power of doing paperwork and nasty head colds.

Also he a qt.

Meridia's UNDEAD SMITING is for all the wrong reasons.

>%Name is a servitor of the Daedra Lady of Greed, Meridia.
>%Name is one of Meridia's collectors in %region.
>Meridia is a Daedra Regent and a collector of human specimens. Meridia is a kind of acting Daedra Prince, and ruthless in her acquisitiveness.

>"Stone-Settlers (builders?) not rest (wake?) Meridia. Terror of the Most Terror. Haste to safehome."
>"Fourth Star Hour (time?) Terror-of-the-Most-Terror of Meridia come (came?)."
>"Meridia-child, Earth root power, sea wave like (earth like a flood?). People-out (escape? present tense? imperative?)."

>"Can you put it all together? The big picture is that, long ago, Ayleid settlers stumbled onto this grotto. They made it their own--in the end, too much their own. In doing so, they uncovered a forgotten shrine to the Daedra lord Meridia. Meridia's vengeance for this violation was swift: She crushed Abargarlas with her stone roots and, incensed that some survivors escaped, buried the grotto almost entirely."

She's just as much of a bitch as Azura. Don't be a fucking tool.

>At least Nocturnal gives you a key to her bedroom.
wrong

>He's got The Pit
your point

>he's got the power of doing paperwork
kek

>Also he a qt
>Dragon
>Cute

>Dragons
>Big talking lizards with wings
>Anything but cute
Perry is cute! Cute!

>Dragons
>not cute
Your point is...?

Can you please fuck off back to /tesg/?

So you can fill it with an Altmer propaganda?
Fuck no.

No, the thread there is just spam of skyrim waifus pics

The Thalmor did literally nothing wrong

No, that's just Skyrim waifus. We're talking about fucking extra dimensional spirits which embody vague but generally negative concepts.

Compleatly different.

Except genocide, destabilizing Towers, trying to blow up the Dream, dressing like Columbine cosplayers, murdering people at a religious service, and being mean.

The end justifies the means.

>shit talking Pus the Magic Dragon

>Except genocide
nothing wrong, the weak shall perish

>destabilizing Towers
what?

>trying to blow up the Dream
what?2

>dressing like Columbine cosplayers
they have style

> murdering people at a religious service
Talos is not a god

>and being mean
you are mean

come on Chad gimme the obscure nord lore

Wasabi.
