1 Bloq. = 1o , capable of covering a tile of space 1 height high.

Liquids.
1onze = a sip , a spill about one tile in width, and the amount necessary to get someone summarily executed if exposed to my books.
1litre = 1o onzes, a bottle [like those served in wine] and capable of dousing or gassing a 3 x 3 area.
1 galleon= 1bloq, 1o litres, 1o bottles, in approximation of liquids held in one place. Also the suspected amount of alcohol Yangus goes through in a day.

Magick.
1 idea = The most basic unit of magic generated from a 1 potency lumicyte for one turn. one tile. and may actuate 1 point of damage *


Aether
1 shard = The smallest unit of elemental xtal that is capable of putting out one idea of magick weighing 1 gram *
1 xtal = constructed of 6 shards. But puts out 2 ideas of magic upon use*
1 bloq = constructed of Crystals. But puts out 4 ideas of magic upon use*

*Some xtals dont expire when used, if and when they are aetherically ignited, the potency may multiply and the same is true if the energy is focused on a singular task. However aetheric detonations is typically the most certain method of effect and efficient methods exist behind specific spell styles.

1.01 Patch

One item slot can account for:
1 Bar of Materiale [1/10th of a bloq]
10 items weighing less than a bar. [bottles trinkets small objects]
99 small items weighing about less than a gram [bullets, arrows, needles, spices, reagents etc]

To carry a bloq; 10Capacity of carrying space is needed if one does not possess this quality a STR roll is needed to "pick up" the rest with successes.

If a weapon is considered Heavy, it cannot be slotted in an item slot.But instead must be carried at all times or dropped momentarily in order for the wielder to serve other purposes with their hands.

Comments: Any class that interacts with the physical realm requires these stats lest they remain on the fort and busy themselves about the workshop with their surplus TEK score. Knights incidentally benefit from this the most and yet have the least utility for it save for lugging around multiple weapons.

So!

Skirmishes.

They're turn based play by post online wargames, where you control a single unit a map someone draws and move it around with a few commands. You generate a unit from following the introduction - in this case that's this thing I've attached.

So you'd make a unit, spawn on the map, and with teamwork and diligence you would happily get killed as you fight.

The precise rules and mechanis vary a little. In this case it's SWORDBORNE; and you're a mercenary working with a Company trying to protect a small Keep in the town of Lindlore.

Other variations are stuff like mecha pilots, cyberpunk agents, superhero vigilantees, so on.

There's usually open participation, since people tend to die off pretty quick and if you want to generate a unit and join turns are usually 1-2 a day with faster times every other now and again, so you can join in surely.

Just think of it as Chess if every White piece was controlled by an individual player, everyone chaotically trying to win versus the other side.

More like X-COM, where everybody plays a rookie (do you still do dice rolls in this one?)

Here's an example of the map - with a bunch of people being murdered by a giant wolf.

Other than that there isn't much to it; it's really just long-form wargames.

No, I like my chess analogy. So... maybe it's Chess if every pawn was an XCOM rookie and the queens all had Psionic Rays? The rooks are Mutons but the Kings can fly and every third pawn gets to step into threedimensional space.

Okay, so it's not actually very much like chess.

The system of SWORDBORNE in particular is d6 based.

You roll a number of d6 equal to your stat + item + skills, and each 4, 5 is +1 success, 6s are +2 succeses and a 1 will give you -1 success. Total action effect is = your success.

So to attack with a sword I roll STR + ATK + SWORDKILL = 10, roll 10d6, get 6 succcess total, and hit someone for 6 damage.

So this one does have dice rolls.

Sounds pretty cool, ill stick around and watch.

Technically you can but it would probably be inconveniencing.

With these kind of things the best way to watch is really to participate, if you want.

You'd simply pick a character out of those available and deploy. We're getting ready for another fight right now as is, so it's the perfect time to participate.

The games go at 1-2 turns per day, so you don't have to wait for the next one. Just jump in when you have time.

Oh, these things don't usually require that much time. You can dedicate all your hours if you wnt, but if you can check the creation rules on your phone + make a character, then post when there's an action phase then you're good. Usually with SB you do about 1 turn a day anyway, so you're not required to sit here in perpetuity.

As for games.... Hm. It's probably better to think of it as a campaign? Kinda? Were on the same /map/, it's just that there's been a holiday break - so this isn't really a new game starting, it's carrying on from the same set point as the last match.

So the best place to join in is whenever, because there's never really a case where the entire board is wiped clean to start over unless you join an entirely different skirmish.

But yeah! Make a character if you want, and join in when you have the time. It's really not that time-demanding unless you're

[Masterwork] on weapons is 10 * rank, so 1st costs 10, 2nd costs 20, 3rd costs 30 etc etc. You can add to your own items of course, a stat that gear commonly has - like ATK for swords or ARMOR for armor.

Wait for Liren's explanation on spellcasting, you might have some difficulty casting that particular spell due to class/stats (Not to say it's impossible). You should also join one of 3 teams, west, east, or garrison (Garrison will be "less demanding" whereas the other 2 will probably get into the thick of things immediately).

Reminder:

Hetros directs west team to assault manufactory.
Liren and Garth cooperate to coordinate garrison.
Hedera backs me up on east team.

oh, that. I think it's a stone crenelation - in case you're the handy sort with masonry tools, you could acquire some stone and try to fix up the battlements. It might prevent another worrg from jumping straight in over the gate.

That's a Crafting kind of thing. Ask Mikolov or Zhornkind or someone, they knore more about it than I do.

Reminder on the plan

1) We have 'Tundra' in effect from turn 01-04, so keep in the warmth as much as you can, unless you have elemental protections.

2) Scout West will be using our adorable Noncom Tacitican: to summon a pair of walls to enter the Manufactury. We move fucking -fast- got it? Melee in first, anybody with more than 3 End in next, everybody in after that. Do not wait in the damn tundra, move and move fast.

3) Scout East is to move north, secure the farms, fortify, and bleed the forces north of them, and prepare to assault the NE Church at the first opportunity, including us redistributing.

4) The reserve forces are to redeploy as best they can, but chances are the manufactury will draw the most ire, so they just gotta take the enemy in the flank, or if no enemy approaches from the west, then move to support the north wall.

4) The North Wall's job is to hold fast and not just pile out of the fortress until they weather the first attack. If no such attack is forthcoming, they should move to secure the northern curtain wall, thus locking down Scout East's western flank and expanding our area of operations enormously.

you /can/ use Verdandery to grow plants, right? So its almost the same thing. Which is why your average Cleric would strongly suggest it's witchcraft. Steps a bit close to growing Life, doesn't it?

You'll notice the little icon says [C] which is short for Chaotic, a kind of indicator that you're bending the world as it should be and breaking agreed upon laws. We've all done that so I assure it's not that big of a deal, but sometimes that has repurcussions so try not to let the faithful see you do it.

You cast spells with WILL + Prof ranks

Feedback is a [Minimum this success or suffer exccess damage to Will]

A lightning icon sans [E] indicates it takes 1 action, but you could cast it twice or do something else.

You can buy extra range for most spells at the cost of 1 dice, but you'll notice Briar Patch can target anywhere next to other plants. You just need Sight Range, which is a direct line from your own self to the target with nothing in the way to block your Sight. Also you need other plants. There.... aren't a lot of those in this tundra.
