Probably Time Spiral. Even though I started playing during Innistrad, the concept of a set that revisits old cards and characters and changes them up is pretty cool. If I could, I would make Time Spiral a standalone set a la Conspiracy, where it revisits old sets/planes and does a "what if..." version, with colorshifted, timeshifted, and futureshifted version of cards.

So am I an idiot for playing Jenara (Voltron) and Zedruu (Group Hug) or an enlightened genius?

So, Enchanted Evening and Ajani's Chosen normally result in a draw, but if you can capitalize either on etb triggers or a way to Sac for death triggers, you could win.

How would you go about doing this? Impact Tremors and going to Jeskai? Or Esper for Sac outlets and Blood Artist/cutthroat? Or some other third thing?

I've been at the casual, lets just have fun with this stage for years (my tryhard only comes out in draft, sealed, or cube), unfortunately I can't say the same for everyone in our play group.

I can't tell if this is degenerate or just goofy, voltron player's auras become removal spells, would have to see the build. Interesting either way.

I went first and my weenie deck is packed full of first strikers (and vigilance) so he wasn't going to attack me (this is FFA multiplayer mind you) until his stuff was too big for that to matter. Gideon came out before that could happen and made it so everything he had must attack Gideon, he kept tapping his creatures for mana so that he wouldn't lose them to combat, also pic related is quite effective.

why does Wizards insist in making Boros commanders about huge creatures when that color combination is the best for small, cheap creatures and sucks at ramping? do they even play their own game?

Oh, for sure- the mana base was literally just "Command Tower, all relevant shocks/duals/fetches, and then 9 of each basic" so I had 37 lands while I brewed the rest of the deck. I just hadn't gone through and tweaked the color balance yet.

DESU, not really. Heavenly Inferno is expensive because of scarcity rather than being that interesting, and you can probably find a Plunder the Graves on the shelf at a lot of stores still (and maybe a Guided by Nature, too). Really the price is dragged up by the Kaalia deck, the four life counters, and having the tokens for all the decks.

I didn't know how much I loved mono R artifacts until I built it. There is so many silly things to do. Tower of fortunes is a lot better as R8,T: draw 8 cards, liquidmetal coating and voltaic key are MVPs.

Literally the only thing I can think that's "neat" is that it'll have the tokens for all those decks, and the 'special life counters'. I'm hoping that's 4 of the kind they had in the Commander Anthology, rather than four spindowns.

Actually the deck only has like three boardwipes and two counters in it, I generally try to win by hitting people with their own creatures, min grind is there to give me more Lazav fuel/reanimate targets and only occasionally as a win con

We are a particularly Timmy group, we tend to favour boardwipes over counters since it's fun to have etb triggers and stuff happen.

I really don't see the point of playing Lazav as a pure control list either when his ability is just too fun to build around

Having Demonic Tutor isn't a problem unless you use it to tutor for the same few cards every game.

This, it's not a color so nothing changes, the only thing that it does is let you determine generic mana from colorless, which mana rocks and lands that produce colorless mana already did, just now symbolized with , so equals old (3) that thran dynamo would produce. Obviously this only really means anything when it comes to creatures or abilities that demand colorless mana, like thought knot seer that has (3), so 3 can be paid with anything from wubrg or but the can only be paid with that you see on things like lanowar wastes.
