Fall of Cadia

>Fall of Cadia.
>No Guard-specific characters, formations, relics, or rules.

Its not like there's any Guardsmen ON CADIA or anything. When the fuck are AM going to get anything to make them even remotely relevant again?

>tfw all you want in life is getting lumbering behemoth back

It depends. If the rumor that AM are getting squatted is true, it makes sense that they aren't releasing anything really for them.

I think it's possible that they may make a new set with the new edition, though. Having Orks vs AM set on Armageddon is perfect. It would also give them a chance to release the new codices and model lines. However, this is GW and logic is not their strong suit.

Wrathful Crusade and Castellans of the Imperium both have IG in them.

Also the first half of FoC is entirely Creed's finest hour.

Read the book

Why the fuck would they squat the IG of all things?

Because Marines.

because paranoia

haven't you heard? the sky is falling! Again.

They literally just released Genestealer Cults, a faction ehich half dependant on IG like a year ago

Hey! You got a formation for you to take units from BETTER armies.

Both those are way overcosted for very little benefit for guard. OOOH, MY FUCKING S3T3 DUDE GETS HATRED.

>Fracture of Biel-tan
>No Biel-tan specific characters, formations, relics or rules

And yet, there are formations for Ulthwe Black Guardians despite having fuck all to do with anything other than being Phil Kelly's pet craftworld.

>GW surely won't fuck THIS up
>says increasingly nervous man for the seventh time

Never forget, Fall of Cadia was written by Ward. The following two were written by

Andy Clark*

Squatting the entire GUARD.

Fucking what.

I just want a formation that isn't garbage or requires ten lords of war and the entire areonautica.

As with the Empire in WHFB they will be irrelevant fluffwise and receive little in the way of new models. Get over it, superhumans sell.

What if they tried to appeal to, like, the model car market. And the IG got a vehicle-heavy release of just stupid impractical hotwheels with artillery on the roof.

>stupid impractical hotwheels with artillery

Go on.

>Imperial guard squatted
>the entire imperial guard
>over 1 trillion soldiers
>fighting on thousands of worlds

HOW? On the other hand, this has the stink of Ward on it, so we can't rule out everything.

Just saying like, if you're banking on GW only appealing to market trends, like mecha for the Tau or power-armor for marines, I could see a new IG release coincide with an increase in vehicle model sales.

Lots of tanks, weird fucking car-things, and motorcycles.

Imperial Guard Land Battleships. Not tanks, actual battleships on treads or some shit.

>When the fuck are AM going to get anything to make them even remotely relevant again?
You mean like that formation in FoC that let's them respawn any lost troop unit on a 5+ (and allows you to include ANY Imperial unit in your army without worrying about allied detachments and such)? Also, pic related.

> If the rumor that AM are getting squatted is true
Highly doubtful, we'd see Sisters of DEldar squatted first. Ignoring the lore problems with removing the IG, GW isn't going to get rid of a faction that still sells.

>Also the first half of FoC is entirely Creed's finest hour.
This. Also the fact that the planet broke before the Guard did RIP Cadian 8th

>Army which going to be replaced by Scions
>specific characters, formations, relics, or rules.
kek
Also, welcome to "npc-army" club

>Not tanks, actual battleships on treads or some shit.
That would be a Squat Colossus, Cyclops, or pretty much ANY of the giant-ass Squat vehicles from back in the day. The Squats were
Those things were OP as fuck To put things in perspective, the Squats could out-dakka ANY other race back in 2nd edition and today in 2017. They literally mounted starship-grade cannons on their fortress-sized tanks.
