Veeky Forums anime

So here's a scenario, Veeky Forums has put all its meme magic together and caused a major anime production company to take notice of how much shit Veeky Forums gets done.

You have been given infinite money and labor with whatever studio you choose to make a 13 episode season of an anime centered around traditional gaming and neck beard culture in general, what do you make?

I'll give an example and also get basically what's the weebshit standard for the industry out of the way

>A slice of life anime where a guy moves to a new town and discovers the local gamestore is totally populated by moe girls, each one representing some stereotype of neckbeards, kinda like seitokai yakuindomo, rage all you want but the waifu b8 will almost assure me a second season.

A coming-of-age anime about bitter manchildren who only love the fun of their variety and hate all the other varieties of fun. They belittle each other, and look for the branches in the others' figurative eyes, not realizing they've got a log stuck in their own eyes.
In the course of the anime, they slowly come to realize that their hobby is not a goal unto itself, but a means for self-actualization and reaching out into the others' inner worlds, that there's more to games than just models and rulebooks and dice - that these games would lose their meaning if there was no interaction with other people.

Haha, just kidding, in the last episode, they will return to the status quo, never outgrowing their bitter selves and remaining blind to (or maybe even willingly shutting out) the others' inner worlds.

Basically, imagine Himouto! Umaru-chan, except starring a bunch of unloveable neckbeards, and add a dash of Zero Charisma and self-deprecating humor.

10/10 would watch to feel better about myself

A sequel/spinoff to Gundam Build Fighters. It would eradicate Try from canon, and the crossover would be 40k. And if I had infinite money, I'd do 40something-50 eps, vidya, 3 OVAs, a movie, and some crazy minis and/or gunpla

Also, since I have infinite money, no CGI, all hand drawn and painted.

Jumanji-like isekai where they need to complete the main quest to come out of the game
Then after 3 whole seasons they realize they like it too much in there and just dick around forever
Now what does the DM do?

Prison School season 2 when?
I need Mari x Kate animated

Keep dreaming user

This, only for 90% of the show they are cute girls getting all this character development, only for the reveal that they were neckbeards roleplaying all along and they didn't learn a god damned thing from the game.

What if every anime you watched that was filled with moe girls was actually neckbeards RPing?

...

It would make sense, actually. If we look at the majority of moe-anime, it's usually describing a niche hobby. So, for example, K-On! would still be a success story of a shitty indie rock band, except instead of cute girls we get lanky guitarists, fat drummers and nerdy keyboardists.
The difference is, it doesn't matter who are the main characters if the actual plot is good.
Take, for example, Tatami Galaxy. It's literally a story about a neckbeard going through the realization that he is wasting his life - and it's damn good.

It's like we are reaching some sort of singularity where there's gonna be an anime where it's literally the author inserting himself as a character

That's already happened several times. Hell, we even have the anime's director appearing alongside the author in Excel Saga.

All these ideas are awful, I hope they never get done.

Retard dragon girls s2

>and look for the branches in the others' figurative eyes
I do not believe I have never heard an idiom that sounds remotely like this before

I'd be down for this if it meant more Cestree porn.

>Tatami Galaxy
That sounds interesting. Would your recommend this to someone who enjoyed Welcome to the NHK?

A depressing and sobering slice of life about losers, like Welcome to the NHK, except they play tabletop.

I'll be honest given an infinite amount of money I would just make another Record of Lodoss War

I embezzle the money and spend it all on organizing a covert takeover of the money's source. My next step is to use my infinite wealth to slowly manipulate society to suit my ideals until my will is humanity's and vice versa. Inevitably, an intrepid group of ragtag heroes with vague motivations and diverse backgrounds uncovers the plot before it is completed and seeks to defeat me. As I am defeated, falling into the black hole resulting from my infinite wealth's equally infinite mass, I shout my final words - "I'm So Meta, Even This Anime".

Just make an anime out of Quick Start you pleb.

Man gets abducted by space aliens to study when he realizes the aliens don't have any tabletop games and the only cure is fuckin'

The only thing Veeky Forums ever got done was cementing the myth that Veeky Forums gets shit done in the board culture.

I'd make an anime focusing on one of the least liked aspects of ttrpgs.

Basically, a certain cliche fantasy ttrpg got incredibly popular in this alternate reality world where the anime is set, so popular that now it is considered a sport, and there is even major leagues for it, everyone knows and watches it, but not everyone has what it takes to play it.

The competitions' judges are the GMs for the games, which are run both in party-based dungeons and pvp tournaments, the players being allowed a certain amount of "resources" (basically, levels, gold and exp) to build their characters.
The game is considered extremely intellectual, and while some say that it is almost like gambling, managing to minimize the risk that a poor dice roll represents is one of the many skills a pro needs to have.

Of course, all IC sequences are fully animated as if the game was actually happening. And of course, the players get very much into it, screaming special attacks and manifesting menacing battle auras and whatnot.

Cue to our heroes, the TTRPG club of Nihon Girls Highschool, which just scouted their newest member, MC. The other club members each embody one of part Veeky Forums's crowd, so you can be sure that plenty of autism is guaranteed as they train and battle their way into the nationals.

It's literally Saki or Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku, but with ttrpgs instead of mahjong.

>infinite money
I vote we hire Takashi Taniguchi as the director

>giving up creative control
No

> Matthew 7:5 "Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."

>A coming-of-age anime about bitter manchildren who only love the fun of their variety and hate all the other varieties of fun.
Not deep enough. Needs to end with them realizing that their brand of Fun™ is also shit and Fun™ in general is little more than a spook.

I would recommend it to literally everyone. Tatami Galaxy is a great introspection story that knows how to pace itself.

...

I think you're all forgetting there already IS a Veeky Forums anime.

The first twelves episodes will be divided into two parts.
6 of them will focus on the players "reality", their daily life, talking about games, which system is the best, going to festivals, in brief everything tg related things you could imagine
The main characters are: A normie and his brother who introduced him to Pnp Rpg(he is the main DM.
A rulelawyer neckbeard, a massive that guy that often derail the game; and a token girl, the brother girlfriend, the neckbeard is always hitting on her.

The other 6 episodes is the groups playing various games, classic fantasy, horror, MAID, a spoof of 40K ect ect. Those episodes have the characters acting retarded because of the players.

I don't know what the final would be, maybe the groups splitting up because of internal conflict
