Ironjaws, Seraphon, Fyreslayers, Flesh-Eater Court, Everchosen and Clan Pestilens BT updates fucking when?

If I have an army with a Mighty Lord of Khorne, Bloodthirster and Daemon Prince, who's in charge?

What's it going to be??

Finished

1/2

2/2

Who cares? It's a shitty arena card game using miniatures. I couldn't be less excited.

Please be Flesh-Eater Court, but it's gonna Ironjawz anyway

What's the easiest way to convert a Saurus Knight into a Scar-vet?

Also, would anyone know how to convert the skink trog rider from the SC box into a starpriest?

Where did you find this ?

Grot Sky Pirates

there's only one way to find out

When will we finally have grot sky pirates

More stormcast eternal characters

>b-but it says new faction

Did we forget about the time when the Extremis Chamber was considered a new faction?

GW promises us that some heroes will get warscrolls for AoS and become available for Warhammer Quest.

Didn't you see the OP picture?
TREES!

Yes Sylvaneth Wood spam is balanced. It is only broken when you don't pay attention to the deployment rules, and end up placing larger woods than you should actually have been able to.

If you leave large, open spaces in areas you really don't want them to cover with woods, then you only have yourself to blame.

Been following you doing this

I think they're cool, but the highlighting is way too thick and looks really unnatural

I still think you should take the time to thin those green highlights by like, half. Highlights should make what you are high lighting stand out, they shouldn't be the most noticeble part.
The inside of that one with the bell looks unpainted as well. If it is painted, but you just chosen a dark greyish colour, then I would advise going for a dark red. It doesn't need to be detailed or anything, it would just look a bit more natural.

That being said, I like the flesh. You done a good job making it look infected. I think you should get some Nurgles Rot technical paint so you can have a bit of fun with that.

How much more intelligent are Grots compared to Orks?

Not him, but on closeup I agree. It's pretty jarring. However, painting like that Is best seen accross the table. It's tabletop painting vs display painting. Those blightkings are going to stand out in a good way.

It's one of those things where it would look better as a whole army, rather than individually.

Thanks for the feedback. It's tough to get into that guys belly now but I'll add some red washes to bring the tint up.

I'm going to leave the highlights thick for now because these aren't meant to be display quality models, just something for warhammer quest.

I don't mind the thick highlights, personally. In the future I'll work on thinner highlights (where appropriate).

I'm painting the rest of the Warhammer Quest box - should I do Kairic Acolyes or Bloodreavers next?

The thing about orks is they don't have to think to survive.
They're not necessarily stupid, but if you can solve a problem with brute force that is what they'll do.

Grots don't have the capabilities for brute force solutions usually, especially in Ork society.
So they have to rely on their wits.
They may be more intelligent on average, but it's not enough to be really directly noticeable I think.

Anyway isn't that more of a question for the 40k general?

I didn't read it as a 40k question. I'm sure he did mean Orruk, but like many, he didn't want to accept Orruk as the new name. Your answer applies to AoS as well as 40k.

That looks great user! I tip my hat to you.

Subtle changes in BoK:

Mighty Lord of Khorne and Slaughterpriest unbind one spell only.

Bloodsecrator +1 attack ain't stackable.

Bloodstoker +charge no longer stack too.

Do I miss anything?

You know the names really have me confused too. Cause I thought Grots is the new Gnoblar name, so I thought Orc and Goblins would have been the phrasing I'd have expected, if it was an AoS question.
Anyway, yeah. Same answer basically.

The official thing mentions fishmen as a response in the comments as coming later

This is why Kirby thought they were a models company.

You are the problem.

FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!

Is this a good place to ask questions about if Warhammer Quest is worth to buy? I thought Veeky Forums would have a general about it.

Any resources spent on this 'competitive boardgame' will not be spent on updating existing armies or old ones.

It's one thing for GW to release an occasional boardgame every now and then, but they said their plans for this game are unique sculpts and to fully support it for a long time.

I'm just disappointed it's meant to be another game, rather than them working on their existing ones.

WHQ goes here, and yes it is. It's a solid game. I haven't tried out the sequel yet, but I hear great things about it.

Yeah, it's great.

user, it's basically a specialist game. They've done that for most of their history. Things like Necromunda have always had their own models, this is the same thing.

You're why they killed off these things in the first place.

It's a lenghty game that's friendly to user created campaigns, like Descent for example?

I'm just searching for something that's not Descent and I love Warhammer but I'm afraid it would just have a few campaigns.

>You're why they killed off these things in the first place.
I don't know which logical fallacy this is, but I'm sure it is one. So I'll just leave it at that.

>Bloodsecrator +1 attack ain't stackable.
I'm not so sure

Here is the new wording:

Rage of Khorne: This ability affects all KHORNE units in your army within 18" of this model at the start of the combat phase. When they attack, add 1 to the Attacks characteristic of all melee weapons used by units affected by the Rage of Khorne. In addition, players do not have to take battleshock tests for any KHORNE units within 18" of this model.

If they didn't want it to stack they could have worded it something like "add 1 to the Attacks characteristic of all melee weapons used by units affected by any number of Rage of Khorne effects".

The way it's worded suggests that each Bloodsecrator applies a seperate instance of the Rage of Khorne ability, similar to how multiple Lord-Castellants using their lantern on the same model can make it heal multiple times per 7+ save roll.

I think in the new GHB we'll see a new Rule of One that puts an end to stacking buffs.

Why don't they stack anymore? the wording is the same as in the Bloodbound BT.

Considering there is a specialist game department that makes these, if they are not making these boardgames they aren't making anything at all.
As for the models themselves, having a regular flow of boardgames doesn't actually effect their workflow. Most large releases like new armies are done up to 2 years before they are ever actually released.
Also, since the specialist game department are staffed by forgeworld, I wouldn't be surprised if they use forgeworld sculptors from time to time as well.

Yeah I can see someone creatively building their own campaign for it. Even if you used your own tiles and stuff. It does come with a campaign and story, that's what the adventure book is, but you can throw that out if you're feeling creative. But I think Shadows over Hammerhal is more designed for that.

Silver Tower is randomly generated so can be played until you all grow bored of it.

Shadows Over Hammerhal does have a set dungeon and quest but you can change the monsters around and it's a piece of piss to write your own campaigns.

You could also do what I do and just nick all the campaigns from the older editions of WQ and HeroQuest and just change the stats so they fit in the new game. Your imagination is the limit.

Did silver tower release stop them from making Disciples of Tzeentch?

I run multiple Castellants and I don't stack the Warding Lantern due to the Rule of 1. I feel Rage of Khorne would be somewhat similar. This would likely be a "club rule" thing. But I'm interested in seeing how a tournament would rule it.

Not you personally, just people with this mindset.

>I run multiple Castellants and I don't stack the Warding Lantern due to the Rule of 1
Then you're playing the game wrong

Rule of 1 has nothing to do with the lantern. It is not a hit roll, wound roll, save roll, spell, or generated attack.

Thanks a lot anons, I was also thinking of doing custom characters with the new Kharador army. Now I only need to convince my playgroup.

This.

You have a fair point

It's probably going to be an undead faction, though. It would be super weird to launch a game set in the Realm of Death without some skelets

It's probably going to be something from either Death or Destruction. I feel like GW is going to prioritize each of the four Grand Alliances having representation of some kind before doing doubles or getting wacky.

>death getting anything

Paradox Interactive worker here, Death won't get shit.
Fact is, if Citadel were to release a new subfaction with vampires, along with undead cavalry and necromancers, it would just go to the destruction grand alliance instead.
This is because of how unpopular death is, s m h

how popular are the other things? dwarves, goblins, elves and such?

>Paradox Interactive worker here
Who? And how is that relevant?

We are currently working on the next CK2 dlc.
Stay tuned!

Any chance you could get some STORMCAST into CK2? They're super cool.

I was running some numbers and the damage output of Judicators is like god awful, are they secretly bad or am I missing something?

Any one tkaen a Soul grinder and know how much they are?

i'm wondering it's worth it for Khorne to add some shooting and obviously melee punch

No youre right, Judicators blow

Theyre only useful for 3 things:
1. Battleline requirements (liberators are better)
2. Battalion requirements
3. Special anti-horde crossbow that does d3 mortal wounds. Really good against high armor units.

They're pretty good for sniping singular characters or low model count units. We have Raptors for that now, but I'd still say Judicators have their place.

Ironjawz for Shadespire?

280 pts

And I still fail to see how you have any insider info on anything. You don't even work directly for gw. They wouldn't feed you anything not relevant to your project.

What's ck2?

That seems alright, they have so many wounds after all

crusader kings 2 I assume.

Yeah, I've used them in a few games and have almost always been disappointed, at least for their point value. Judicators really only do a passable job when going against Chaos.

What's the point of hyping a game that is going to came out in like 6 months?

I really do hope it's skeltals

It has to be Nurgle. I'm thinking a plastic Beast of Nurgle.

I'm fucking hyped.

Opinions, /aosg/?

Tyranid 40k end times special unit.

>Paradox Interactive worker here
What the fuck does that have to do with anything?

Why would it be a unit nobody wants?

YET!

Are y'all really this dumb?

They're doing a bunch of factions, including models for factions they've not done yet.

So they will show those over the next 6 months.

I seriously doubt that if there is no massive change to the warscroll

Apparently. Would you mind explaining it to a pleb like me?

Because I see no link here. It's the equivalent of me saying "Hey, I'm an HVAC salesman, and I can tell you GW isn't going to give Death anything."

A vexillor throwing paladins or fulminators at whatever you want to snipe seems like a more reliable option.

I dunno user. That's a one time deal with the vexillor, and you may not even make that charge. Your opponent may be bubble wrapping his heroes too. Judicators can at least keep firing every turn.

vexillor only teleports people 9" away from the enemy now

>Judicators can at least keep firing every turn.
They do about 3 wounds (before saves) per volley

They are not worth 160 points

Nice strawman, pointing out that a shit game will probably be shit is not the same as saying all games are shit.

If you want to play a boardgame fuck off somewhere else, this is a wargame.

To give it updated rules and make it something everybody wants.

You've not even played it and you think it's shit.

That's exactly the point.

And they're all under Age of Sigmar, so you fuck off, cunt.

>cant decide between flesh eaters and seraphon

HELP

Looks like the top part is a carapace. Could be an isopod-like sea creature for the rumoured elves.

It's either some nurgle monster, or some carrion crawler for Death.

Currently planning on doing a 1k Ironjawz list with Megaboss, Chanter, 10 Ardboys, 2x 5 Brutes, and 3 Gruntas (the 1d4chan/cookie cutter list).

Are the Gruntas worth using? I'll be getting the Star Collecting box, and I guess they'll be there to use. And is it worth combining the Brutes into a unit of 10 with hackas? Or just keep them as two units and go with dual choppas?

If I do keep the Gruntas, is their leader a good candidate for the Ironfist Big Boss?

Gruntas are okay if you're just taking Ironjawz, but you want as many brutes as you can get, so maybe get more of those instead.

You want aztec space dinosaurs

If you aren't playing competetive AoS then gruntas are fine. If you wanna practice for tourneys or you play in a super meta area, then gruntas are bad. As for choice of big boss. I do a 10 man squad of brutes that that brute boss is promoted to big boss every time.

In the 10/5/5/3 ironjaw comp, the grunta boss is good, assuming you don't charge ahead with the squad as a heat seaking missle. You need to make sure you get atleast 2 turns with him to get your brutes and ardboyz in

It does look nurgly but it could also be orky.

As much as I want this to be a Myrwyrm type seabeasty all the little dents and the style of nails makes me think it's got to be nurgle

Death bugs could work.

What army is the most bara?

>Delusional cannibals
or
>Aztec dinosaurs riding bigger dinosaurs

The answer is clear

Beastclaws, Bonesplitterz or Fyreslayers

Why geedubs why
I need two too
260 to forgeworld or live with these monstrosities

couldn't agree more.

truth is that glotkin is what I would go for if I wasn't currently waiting for GW to do a real GUO before I finish my nurgle project.

GUO also needs a rules overhaul, more wounds, harder to kill, hit harder, more points. Currently GUO is shit compared to the other greater daemons.

I run glottkin as general most of the time
Mixed daemon and rotbringers
Trying to build a list somewhere approaching current power with glottkins buffs with the points distributed wider

Opinions on each of the maggoth lads?

Fyreslayers.
