first for grot revolution

What to name my first ever knight?

2nd for best primarch

have to post that for las threads

nth for guardsmen
also what do ya think of this list

Is Shadow War a good indicator of 8th?

I just learned all the rules for 7th and while I don't mind re-learning at all, I'm concerned about the changes to the Skitarii stuff I saw. I guess I've gotta wait and see but the weapons are missing a lot of special rules they have right now, like the extra wound on a 6 for Radium Carbines and Armourbane, rapid fire, etc.

He never delivered

Can Rhinos tankshock?

Robespierre

>Is Shadow War a good indicator of 8th?

Maybe for save modifiers but SW is just second edition and I dont think 8th ed is going to bring back second edition but rather a simplified version of 2nd edition.

So its not really an indicator of anything.

I'm in the middle of assembling a Skyweaver box. Should I stick the two female models on one bike and the two males on the other, or go 1 and 1?

Phew, the idea of spending all these hours building fluff for my guys and painting and converting them just to see them become a whole different kind of army or god forbid, entirely useless, was kinda worrying.

I like mine with Power Fists, since you're not paying for initiative you're not using there. Point them at 2W termies, vehicles, small squads with no S10 in, most Custodes units, pretty much anything not a big blob squad and they'll do fine. They're certainly not the most meta Mechanicum unit that ever metad, but they're a nice add-on and have that speed a lot of the list lacks as a whole. Can't wait for them to show up in IA14, they'll be glorious against Riptides and Death Guard and such.

Its basically 2e copypasted. I doubt much of it will be consistent with 8th. Maybe save modifiers or movement values for some units, though I wouldn't count on it.

>Drop the carapace, camo gear and medic of the first squad
>Take a chimera for the second squad, drop the sniper for a heavy weapons team
>Take 2 special weapons per vet squad not 3 - you can only fire 2 out of the hatch - take carapace with the plasma
>Just take autocannons for the heavy weapon squads
>Make both sentinels carrying autocannons (spam str7 AP4 is your greatest friend)

Really like the grenade launcher specialist squads - a bit pricey and going for 2 wyverns with camo netting for the same price would be better - however taking 9 grenade launchers takes balls and would be hilarious to play.

>Best Primarch
>Ruoubuout Gouillimoun

Sir Cumference of the Round Table

I'm thinking of buying a couple sets of these and a set of kroot to make some Knarloc riders. Thoughts?

Only thought is why the fuck do the Dark Elf Drakespawn Knights look better than the fucking Lizardmen ones.

Not the original user, but you fucking win.

>T5
>W2
>Extra-Relentless
>Fire 6 Concussive Graviton AP2 shots each every turn
>Thanks to Canticles, can be made even killier or tougher on a whim
>Hooray I finally wounded them... and the Dominus just repaired them...

Seriously, how the hell are you supposed to deal with these things? If I bring MEQs, they kill them because of graviton. If I bring vehicles or GEQs, they still kill them from sheer volume of fire. If I try to assault them, the cognis heavvy flamers deal so many hits that my assault troops get almost wiped BEFORE they're locked in combat with S5 T5 machines. Wat do?

manticore spam

Might as well make an entire knight order out of the Montagnards

lets see, you lack heavier firepower to deal with threads at range.
your chimeras can only shoot one heavy weapon when moving, the other has to snapshoot. Take a heavy flamer instead, so you have one weapon for longer range and a flamer which comes handy quite often, or atleast gives your opponent something to worry about.

the 2nd company command squa should have better weapons than a sniper rifle to make use of their BS

i would give the meltaguy chimera a dozer blade as this one needs to close in. (it also helps to differentiate it from the others)

a leam russ punisher without pask does very very little. S5 aint all that strong and he will miss 50%

you might want to include a psyker or two

dont mix heay weapons. you are way better of with a third autcannon as the heavy bolter does nothin against most targets (read light vehicles) the autocannons will shoot at. it also has 12' less range.

if you make a mob that moves up the field invest in a melta bomb or two incase of dreadnaught. also give some seargants poweraxes to deter assaultunits from chewing through that.

The Grav-versions are 4+ Saves. Autocannons for that 2s to wound no saves, and Heavy Bolters for those 4s to wound no saves. Both of these outrange the heavy grav canon as well. You need the weight of shots because a single wound will never cut it. Not unless you got a demo-cannon.

Yea, I know, a reason to take lower caliber weapons than AP2. I was surprised as well!

Anything deepstriking with AP4 or better guns and a decent rate of fire will blast them off the board in a round or 2. They're a huge pointstink, so expect to have to invest a decent amount of points to take them out.

I have a raging hate for these models, even as an admech fanboy. If you can't figure anything out, maybe ask the opponent to not run so many of them. If he continues, use whatever cheese you have at your disposal to fuck them up and purge these affronts to all that is good about admech shit.

>Wat do?
Submit to the Omnissiah?

Here's a revised list, this is what I'd run if I was you.

Can anyone help me out with this CSM list

why? They're praetorian battle servitors.

I park my 6 man squad of kataphron gravs behind an aegis when I run them with my guard. 2+ cover saves with the magos relic giving the BS2 snap fire. Is insane.

So I'm thinking of running a 10 man killteam as an allied formation and loading them up in a corvus

What are some good loadouts for my XCOM team of the 41st millennia?

That's a case where Heavy flamers would ruin your day. Good thing nobody ever takes those.

Yes, read the rulebook.

you dont need help
its the usual boring dethguad on wheels stuff

I don't know why I hate them so much user, any other model, even the fucking Baymax mechs, I love but I can't stand those servitors. Maybe if the human part was covered my autismfit would stop but I just hate how it's designed to look like this huge fuck off tank-human monstrosity, but it's essentially got all it's important parts out on show as an unarmoured human.

I get that the admech can send in millions of these things and not give a fuck but it pisses me off. I think if they were less boxy and the human at least had some carapace armour, I'd hate it less.

If I ever want to use them, I'm converting them to have walker legs like the dunecrawler, that tank is sexual.

How nice. Allow me to park my men 31" away and use the "Fire on my target" order on the embedded autocannon squads.

Is not insane. Is strategy. But at least you won't need to worry about my Exterminator w/ HBs. Now THAT thing would eat your Kataphrons alive if they tried to leave the cover of the aegis.

Honestly, your strategy still forces me to go out of my way to target them first, and not the massive Kastelans no doubt marching across the table with the intent to mulch my infantry, if only because I need to clear them off the board before I can move up and take ground.

This is why I am okay with Kataphron Heavy Grav: There's play and counterplay, and counter-counter play. It's not like the fucking gravhammer that's basically an "I win" button, no matter what combination of infantry or armor I bring.

You did Papa Nurgle proud!

>6 man
>not 2 units of 3
Why? Ever put your dominus with them and give them the relic that lets you skyfire, tank hunter or monster hunter every turn? Ever thought about prescience for them?

You should kitbash them into a horde of WALL-Es

Are the terminators a tax for that decurion? Not too familiar
Seems good

How good are rocket launcher heavy weapons team?
I have a chance at getting of squad of them for dirt cheap metal ones, but Im unsure if theyre effective.
>15ppm for a BS3 STR 8 AP 3 shot, or a S4 ap6 Small blast
>25ppm also for the same but it gets skyfire

Well thanks! Do you believe the knight would be better off as a different ally? I'm sinking alot of points into my warlord and LoW
Yeah the vectorium doesn't really allow much customization but I'm hoping someone has an idea for a better variation than mine.

I hate them enough to condemn them to such a fate, but I also have to save some money to go do normie shit with friends in the Summer.

My heart says yes, my wallet says no. Maybe in the Winter user. But you have my promise, one day these fucking affronts to the Omnisiah shall know my holy wrath. I wanna fucking burn the kit now just for the reactions and screencaps.

Missle launchers are solidly "meh" for all the faxtions that can take them, they arent very much more versatile than the other options and desu autocannons will do both missles jobs just fine for cheaper

They're at their best when fighting Tau. You combo them with orders and possibly psykers for AP3 ignore cover possibly twin-linked. The result is the ability to take Ghostkeels and Stealth suits down without saves. You need a number of them to do work, though, and they need ablative wounds to protect them from the BS that is smart missiles.

without skyfire missiles they are ok, usually worse than autocannons but they have their uses, especially to insta-kill T4 multiwound models or against 3+saves.

skyfire is just too expensive for the situational benefit it brings. (and a single S7 Ap4 shot is not that good either)

Yeah it's 1-3 of chosen or terminators. Figure I could use termicide.

There's nothing more glorious than a stupid model remade to look either thematic or practical. The time, effort, and money you invest will pay dividends when you unveil your army on the tabletop.

Mines Paul, but I suck at naming shit, I also have Interigator Chaplin Dan

>Unit Type: Vehicle (Tank, Transport)
So, yes.

One gender per bike.

Did FW stop making knarlocs? That's a shame, they looked pretty cool. Maybe there's a recaster out there doing them?

I'll never understand GW's logic that autocannon is somehow equal to a heavy bolter when it comes to the price. Used to be that IG paid missile launcher money for them, but now they cost the same as heavy bolters and have mostly invalidated 2 weapons.

>can a tank tankshock
WELL GEE WHIZ

Frag Cannons

KHORBE CARES NOT FROM WHENCE THE BLOOD FLOWS, ONLY THAT IT FLOWS

except sorcery fuck psykers and shit

I would honestly be more OK with the NL shit if FEAR WASN'T COMPLETELY FUCKING WORTHLESS. We even give a -2 fucking penalty and can potentially force a test on a -7 or less, but EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHERS ARE IMMUNE.

I've played the last time in 2014.

Started a small tyranid army a few months ago (mainly for painting purposes as I like the models snd lore so much), but are there any rumors for an update? I heard they are pretty shit right now.

You can't take Space Marines and call them Xcom Operatives. Have you even played Xcom? You'd be lucky if they survived as long as a guardsman!

>KHORBE

model your deathguad on bikes like that to redeem yourself

It works against Eldar and Tau, who are supposedly the scourge of the tabletop.

Grab a pair of frag cannons but otherwise keep em cheap.

Whats their band name again?

I really want to make a Khorne army focused around short range shooting, but there's no good way to do it

yes, a new edition is just around the corner. but rumors are sparse and inconsistent as usual

Lol like you're ever going to end up in combat against a unit with either of those two armies except the Wraithknight that doesn't care.

the laughing cows

Khornate Marines should get a Str. 5 AP4 Assault 2 12" Shotgun. Maybe even a further upgrade for 24" Str. 4 AP5 small blast grenades.

I don't care where they get it. It just sounds like an awesome way to complement the stabby Khornates.

Can't go wrong with deathwatch shotguns. Three different fire modes, and they all all assault so you can leverage the extra base attack that DW have on their profile.

It's a solid list, I run pretty much the same but I don't take ML on the prince and take a bike psyker instead.

The warband is a fantastic base and leaves a decent amount of points to run w/e you think you might need on top of it. Most of the time that is the knight but you can also drop that and the spawn for the heldrake terror pack and have 2 5 man bike squads.

I run a plasma and melta bombs on the CSM squads too just so they have a bit more punch, it's only the termies tax on the warband so don't be quite so lean on the rest

Termies are good for 1500+ games, anything under that I would run 4x Plasma Chosen in a Rhino

24" sounds kinda crazy for Grenades, though 12"plasma ones would be sweet.

What I'd want most is those shotguns. Don't even need to be S 5, i just want an awesome assault gun to replace a bolter.

Too bad they can't just double bolt pistol.

>Best Primarch
>Rowboat Girlyman, the second most famous living corpse in the 41st millenium.

>Fear only applies to melee
We're already hitting Tau on 3s in melee, and we're only getting in melee with eldar if they allow it.

Dranzer.
Give it Chainswords. Make it spin. WIN.

The Ogryns.

That's probably the name they'd come up with.

>termicide is 112pts
>5man plasma chosen is 200

Hrrrmmm

Gnarlocs afaik are much larger. Keep in mind the saddle is molded to the dinosaur so it's kind of a bitch to work with.

But they would be pretty cool. I saw an user with a tau army totally fill of counts as units that looked pretty dope

>I have a raging hate for these models
myrms are much better.

given this edition they will spend a lot of time hiding in cover

That would be very nice as well. I just want to have my dudes run around blasting people

They aint paid to think up names

Genestealers my friend, genestealers of every shape and size.

The idea kinda comes from the recent Doom Game. The pump action with the grenade attachment is godly.

But you're right; giving them all 24" grenade launchers would be too much. Make that an upgrade for up to 3 Khornates out of ten. Assault 1 24" small blast Str. 5 AP-. Gives them something to do if they're more than 12" out, but isn't quite so good as to replace the shotgun outright.

Newfag here

Is it ok that I only like Warhammer for the lore?

Are they even paid? I thought they just served because the Emprah told them to.

yes

That's not Mortarion.

Having it be a Grenade launcher makes more sense. S 5 would make it pretty nice against a lot of targets, though I feel like its missing something.

You can't run emperor's shield if you don't have at least 5 infantry squads and at least one sentinel. Just run it as a platoon or sacrifice some tarpit conscripts to make the new squad. But solid list.

Can't you just use the Deathwatch rules with Khornate aesthetic?

I know, it's nicer to have actual chaos rules but you DO get your nifty multi-ammo shotguns.

Hold on you guys, newfag here

Could it be possible to have the emperor in a battle as a character model?

What would his stats be like?

>Could it be possible to have the emperor in a battle as a character model?

Yes, Forgeworld is going to make rules and a model of the Emperor for the Horus Heresy series.

You can even use a Black Shield to represent a berzerker champion. He gets WS5 and doubles his attacks in CC in most situations.

Fucking beyblade I remember that shit

Anyway here's the cunt as of now. still needs lots of work regarding painting and magnetising. Lots of this isnt glued

How do you add terminators armor options on the mobile version of battlescribe?

Not him, but I was actually considering that. Something about it just felt off to me though. Even just trying to plan out a small killteam formation of them

how much stronger is he? Is he like the strongest in the game?

I know what you mean. It's how i felt when I was trying to play very psyker-heavy Thousand Sons before the update, probably. Everybody kept telling me "just use the SM codex!". I didn't want to, didn't like it but who knows, maybe it fit you, but clearly not.

Hope you get this option eventually, would be dope.
