Gaming store stories

>be me
>be girl
>friend invites me to FNM
>have never played before
>only gaming experience is when my friends taught me how to LARP using the FATAL rules
>go to game store
>everyone compliments me on my outfit
>play first round
>somehow I win
>keep advancing
>everyone is lining up to play me
>they announce that I won
>two guys clear some tables out of the way, tell me it's time for my initiation
>get on my hands and knees
>everyone is breathing heavily
>other players toss mythics and rares onto me
>a huge shape looms above me, blocking out the fluorescent lights
>the store owner unties his bathrobe
>"I've got an epic-scale model for you."
>As I open my mouth to accept my prize, everyone starts shaking their Mountain Dew bottles and spraying it all over me
>when it's finally over I'm left in a shuddering heap with cards stuck all over my body
I don't know why girls say these places aren't welcoming! All the guys said they want me to come back next week! I just don't know how I'm going to be able to afford new outfits every time :)

...

I'm only posting because I want to see if someone will get mad over this

So do you guys think that DND 5E is heading in a good direction or that they should return to a more 3.5 like system?

>go to games workshop
>ask if they sell dice
>mention I need d4's, d6's ect.
>they tell me about a model shop down the road

Why would you try to look for non six sides dice, in a store dedicated to games that focus specifically on the D6.

Took the bait, but I don't even care.

5e is heading in a bad direction but your other option is an even worse choice. 3.5 based games are the worst. You have fucking Pathfinder, keep your shit there.

No, 4e was the right direction but they've ducked partially backwards from that.

>how to LARP using the FATAL rules

I really think exp modifiers need to come back.... that or make 6e a classless system, or a system with short careers like WFRP.

They'll never stray far from the tried and true formula for the game, no matter how stale, thanks to how badly everyone shit themselves when 4e was released.

Pathfinder, faggot.

Then maybe keep what worked in 4e, which would be putting weeaboo fightan in the core rulebooks, but keep the rest of the game 3.5ish...the roguelike player in me still wishes for exp modifiers though.

5e is heading in a great direction, but I would love martial adepts to make a comeback.

Man, I wish GW would do another run of those lasgun power pack tins of dice. Those were pretty neat

I wish so hard. Mine was stolen by some rat bastard I had for a roommate at tech school.

God, I love euphemism porn, it makes me laugh every time.

Doesn't matter what they do, people will bitch at it. I still love that most of the complaints that I see about 5e boil down to "I can't find anything to be mad about in it and that makes it bad!"

Why did you had to open your mouth for a miniature?
Why did they sprayed mountain dew over mythics and rares?
Why was the store owner on a bath robe?
Why did you had to buy new clothes?
I don't understand anything

It's porn

But she didn't said anything about dicks and pussies

AD&D 2 was the height of roleplaying

As someone who has grown to really dislike D&D and only plays it when it's the only option, 5e is the most fun I've had playing D&D in years.

He's metatrolling you, moron. He gets it, he's trolling for the exact kind of response you gave him. Next time, don't give metatrolls the (you)s.

>still falling for the good ol' supermetatroll
remember this face next time you get supermetatrolled

...

It's a pretty good idea to fall back from a business decision that caused your player base to fracture and send a ton of paying customers to another publisher.

I know you put some effort into this bait, but Christ mate. This trolling stuff really isn't your scene. I mean this is just fucking embarrassing.

>LARP using FATAL
I'm convinced that somebody, somewhere has tried this. Even if it was for ironic purposes or something.

capped for lulz btw
