Long drawn out love stories edition.

Between Warlocks and their Patrons?

5e kobolds kinda turn me on, what does this mean?

Does an iron golem's poison gas penetrate leomund's tiny hut's dome?

Is that the comic where Gogo gets Baymax to finger Honey Lemmon?
It looks like it.

That you belong in the pathfinder general.

Poison gas is a cloud. Clouds are weather. The weather in the dome is fixed.

It means you have good taste in small lizards.

But user, I've never played Pathfinder before.

Anons, I haven't played D&D in years, but are there rules for these guys in 5e? I loved Neraph.

One day I'll make a Neraph known as Knad Semem.

>tried working on my campaign today
>all I did was name a bugbear in a dungeon that doesn't exist

Depends on the context. Were we sharing a camp already?

If she can handle my snoring, she's already more tolerant than any human woman.

Depends on a lot of factors.

How does the mystic's Mind Meld work?
Is the target forced to give a memory?

Well don't leave us hanging what was its name?

Wonder where the fuck the ranger who volunteered to wake watch went, then grab that sword and chase the thing out of my camp. Fucking ranger. Don't say you'll keep watch if you're just gonna masturbate in the trees, Jeff.

It needs to be willing.

For the communication part yes.
>ha ha you made a mistake talking to me!
>now give me a memory

What kind of special bows/arrows do you guys sell/buy in shops? Loot also. I wanna spice up the bow users in the group but can't come up with anything.

A memory of his choosing, he can pick whatever.

*to the trees

Here, take a memory of me laying on the bed and dying of boredom. Hope it helps.

Uhh no thanks..

A mystic MindMelder would be a great cop.

Like the time I caught the ferry to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for m'shoe. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. "Gimme five bees for a quarter," you'd say. Now where were we... oh yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. I didn't have any white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

Is Arcane Trickster (and half-casters in general) as underwhelming as it seems? Not getting a second level spell until level 7?

That's a terrible name for a bugbear.

Datz wat maed it reel kunnin!

If he's of the Awakened Order he get's to look at an object's memories too and they use Int so he can just take investigation as a skill.
Now I'm imagining a noir style scene with an older man in clothing that's between a robe and an uniform taking a swig of his flask and using his psionic powers to track criminals.

A robe can be part of a uniform user

Does this mean the beast already has +2 in its stat block? Or that you should add +2?

Third casters are kinda underwealming, but keep in mind, compared to the other subclasses they end up pulling ahead.

Isn't that a Red Slaad?

Explosive arrows are an easy one.

A Rope of Climbing with an arrow on it instead of a grappling hook could be cool.

Bow that has blades on the end that can be used in melee.

Arrow of silence is cool.

Arrow that casts heat metal on itself when fired. They have to rip it out to avoid being burnt.

Honestly you stick any spell on a single use arrow and give it to the Archer.

That looks like a red slaad, which is in 5e

Yes. The only thing you add it on top of for the normal stat block is AC and damage (for revised ranger). Then all of the things it applies to get a +1 when the ranger's proficiency bonus goes up.

>Honestly you stick any spell on a single use arrow and give it to the Archer.
That sounds simple enough and useful. Thanks for the reply.

Nope, that is a Neraph, whose race are cousin to Slaad but far weaker. In 3.5e they were LA0 Outsiders, and were really cool.

The Disciplines can be summed up as

>The order of the Shitposter.
>The order of the Nerd Avenger.
>The order of the Hulks.
>The order of the Noir protagonists.
>The order of the Better WOT4E Monks.
>The order of the Switchblade.

A player in my party basically kidnapped Meepo when we were running TftYP.
It was me.

My Valor Bard just hit level 10, and can now thanks to Magical Secrets, I can take 2 spells from any class.

I have a 5th and 4th slot I can take, are there any in particular that are cool? I have Hold Monster, Greater Invisibility, Healing Word, and Cure Wounds for utility. Rest are damage spells.

I actually found an archive post with their stats for 3.5e!

Though, seeing from user's posts it seems like they're not in 5e, which is a shame because I wanted to play as a rare Pepe in my friend's silly 5e campaign he wants to run.

What's the best build for Kobold? Does a Chainlock with Voice of the Chain Master negate sunlight sensitivity?

The other option is to be a Kobold Ranger.

I want to make a hit-and-run melee rogue using the Scout archetype. Are there any other feats that increase move speed besides Mobile? Is Mobile worth taking even though it overlaps with one of Scout's class features, if only for the extra movement and the difficult terrain stuff?

is there something that is PF to 3.5 but for 5e?

Doesn't overlap at all, scout gives you reaction movement without opportunity attacks and Mobile lets you ignore them on your turn.

Also be either a Wood Elf or a Tabaxi.

My group has loads of experience with 3.5/pf and our GM wants to try 5e, but still run the pathfinder adventure paths.

What are the biggest differences that would have to be accounted for here?

Check Something there may evolve into a similar mess.

For what purpose?

Oh, I misread something somewhere

I don't know how I managed that, my bad.

Thanks though! I'm playing a different race than those for flavor reasons.

There are third-party systems based on 5e's core including Ultramodern5, Amethyst: Quintessence, and Adventures in Middle Earth. However, WotC is making sure not to rely too heavily on any single third-party writer for their own products, to avoid the mess with Paizo making PF.

If/when 5e is phased out, I'm sure there will be a third party that will rerelease it with the serial numbers filed off just like PF did. There was no such things for 4e because of its lack of SRD, but even the old AD&D and Basic stuff lived on through OSR.

>What are the biggest differences that would have to be accounted for here?
basically everything will need to be adjusted.

...

I see what I did. I had the wrong archetype selected on 5etools, confused myself.

Again, I appreciate it.

That's cool, I've been meaning to try out Scout because I do love Ranger-y characters without magic. Scout never seems to get enough love.

Right now I'm a Tiefling Barbarian but hopefully after this campaign I'll get a chance to try Scout.

To see the massive butthurt... nah just joking, dont know seems interesting to see what people can come up with

Anyone have a good idea for the family name of a bunch of cursed Nobles? One ancestor was a Warlock and didn't read the fine print so now the family's slowly becoming more insane and fiendish each generation.

Uzumaki.

Open a Tolstoy. Work from there.

Strangle it to death. Free XP.

Dostoyevski

I know subversion when I see it faggot, your kind already ruined one edition fuck off back to it.

Something Germanic, like Varnhagen, Waldeck, Drumpf, or Battenberg.

Ranger or ranged Rogue are probably the best functionally.

I meant your damn image.
Everyone can see this threads don't kick into gear until someone asks something, so the first posts are always some sort of shitpost.

So for the first time ever we had real PvP happen in a game for in character reasons. The two players agreed out of combat that they wouldn't be pissy if they died but luckily the Fighter/Barbarian is good aligned.

It was the Half-Orc Paladin arguing with the Human Fighter/Barb about how his tribe was past the point of redemption and they had to do something about it. They were on a bridge when the argument started and it was the single greatest cobat I've seen in a while.

Paladin won initiative and super smite the Fighter/Barb for nearly half of his health but missed his PAM attack. Fighter/Barb's turn came around and he raged and used one attack to disarm and the other to grapple.

Basically ended with the Paladin tapping out because the Fighter/Barb jumped off the bridge and could hold his breath much longer then the Paladin could. The paladin player also got a warning for breaking his oath and has been humbled greatly about combat skills.

I love when people win without weapons.

>Drumpf

You cheeky dick waffle

>The threads need shitpost to start discussion

Stop posting any time

Where's the PDF that explains how to balance racial features?

>used one attack to disarm

Is that actually a thing we can do? I know you can spend one attack to grapple

You, somehow, saw the all words and read nothing.
I could link you to the Gdoc.

the DMG has it. I think it actually requires an action but our DM's ruled just 1 attack.

It's no more powerful then shoving someone prone really. Most people are smart enough to carry a spare weapon, not this guy.

I found it, but since I hate those fuckers who solve their own problems and don't tell anyone else how
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vq1kz6PRAbw5LHy6amH-bNb4OuB8DBXL1RsZROt03Sc/edit#gid=0

Ok?

user why did you have to make this weird

>I meant your damn image.
>Everyone can see this threads don't kick into gear until someone asks something, so the first posts are always some sort of shitpost.

The image was ridiculing the shitposts, by encouraging them even sarcastically you're part of the problem.

It's just 1 attack. The ones that take an action say so.

In my hometown we have an ancient fable of the wizard Schlepphoden, who turned insane in his study of the dark arts, which is supposedly based on the real Schlepphoden von Druckfurtz.
Seems kind of fitting.

>Waldeck

Love it. It's one of those names where it's fancy sounding without it seeming like I tried to shove as many V's and seriousness into it as possible.

>every other level, starting at level 2, you get one attribute increase point
>this point lets you increase one attribute by 1, or you can forgo spending it to buy a feat which costs 2
Similar to how it is now, but spreads out when you can increase stats. Does it make a difference? Classes that have more ASIs would probably get a bonus point at certain levels.

It's kinda cute and has a plump butt. Probably fuck it.

Honestly I think I'd rather it. I'd just make the Fighter and Rogue get a free feat at the level of their bonus.

I wish stats other then Strength did something when they were odd though.

What does your the character do when they do the Help action? You give advantage on the next ability check the character makes... how? That makes little sense to me. Do you just give them a motivational speech to motivate them to do it better?

If it's an attack, they cause a distraction, if it's healing someone they hold the medkit. Depends on the context.

You do something context appropriate. If you can't come up with even a single thing helpful in context, you can't do it.

Depends. If it's on Climbing it could be lifting them up or pulling them, Intimidation could be standing menacingly behind them, Persuasion could be nodding as they speak as it's a common trick used by politicians.

As for Attacks it's a fient, a whistle to draw attention or throwing a rock at them. Whatever you want.

Gonna be running a wild west style game this weekend. Brand new continent which has climate similar to middle of the US and the West Coast. Pretty much spaghetti western with dudes in armor and kobold banditos.

Having kobolds be the natives pissed at all these homesteaders making a ruckus on the surface. Here's the question:

>Kobolds with large sombrero like hats, or no?

We can basically say every single spell in 5th and 4th level but it would do us no good unless you tell us what role you play in your party. Is it pure support? Are you the charming Bard? Tell us BRO.

How could the answer possibly be "no".

Yes. They ignore sunlight sensitivity while wearing them.

>Kobolds with large sombrero like hats, or no?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! Not without rockin' some sweet moustaches

Sounds fun as fuck. Gonna have guns? Also
>hats
Duh. Also also
>ponchos
>bandoliers
>mustaches
>and native shit too

counterspell is the number one recommended spell for magical secrets, if opposing spellcasters are not a problem, you can take stuff like destructive wave, banishing smite if you are melee or swift quiver if you are ranged. stuff like haste, fireball, aura of vitality, etc.
