Who is your Star Wars husbando?

>husbando
Pellaeon is my CO-fu, but that's not the same thing
Actual husbando is probably wedge though

Solo or the DL-44 malt liquor spokesman

...

>husbando
>not Luke
officially doing it wrong, curse my phone for lack of images of the Lukefu

Great taste, but really it's hard to go wrong. There are so many good candidates.

Kylo is the best though.

>whiny bitch knockoff of Jacen
>shit nucanon
>despite being played by an ex-Marine gives the impression without the Force you could break him over your knee
>doesn't even have a compelling reason to be an angry manchild

user, please

Welp, there goes the thread.

Gen. Antoc Merrick is my husbando.

While we're on the topic, what's your favorite weird noncanon ship for star wars?
Mine is pellaeon and daala

Obi-Wan and Padme

It was George Lucas' original plan, but he chickened out. Luke was never really Vader's son... but in fact Obi-Wan's.

/swg/ bingo

Reminder to hide and ignore and don't reply to political posts, no matter what side they're on or who they come from.

Get along, be nice, and we can have a politics-free thread.

>Obi-Wan x Padme
DEADBEAT DAD

You shut the FUCK up about my boyfriend you fucking slut

Based moustache ace

Definitely my favourite as well

Worlds is next week and I'm hype. My buddy and I have been doing so much playtesting this past week or so.

Post stuff about x-wing. Lists, meta, whatever.

>George Lucas' original plan
Bullshit

Lucas was too vanilla and beta for something like this.

Ben Skywalker and the Antilles sisters.

Might have to switch "Muh Grey Jedi" for "Muh '''Grey''' Palpatine" at this rate.

In other news, fuck right off captcha that thing's not even the right taxonomic class

A local store is running a pretty casual tourney next month, I'm thinking of running a dual Firespray list

The legacy era crossfire star fighter.

Jaina x Me

Gen. Merrick was pretty awesome. I greatly enjoyed him, Raddus, and Draven.

Jacen and Anja Gallandro.

My PC x NPC Corellian Pilot Waifu

Good. Goood. Let the salt flow through you.

Ghent and qui xux

ITT: youtube.com/watch?v=Gsdra1kB6ng

One Transparasteel Leg

He does what? I hate that.

X-wing/Z-95

Scum or Empire? Scum Boba and Kath can do wonderful things together.

My favorite Firespray pilot is Ketsu [\spoiler]

But user, that is canon.

...

Back to /tv/, mister stokalztazsya

Scum of course, the Imperial pilots are ok but definitely suffer from being a very early wave design

I was going to do a Kath + tail gunner combo and then Boba with engine upgrade and maybe some ordinance.

You shouldn't have posted this even though they're right.

You could do Boba plus Rage with inspiring recruit ?

I APPLAUDED IT FOR BEING DIFFERENT!

PUNDA BUBU!

I don't have Inspiring Recruit, that's the only problem

REMEMBER ALDERAAN?

I DO!

LOOK, REBEL BASE!

Always and forever the best husbando.

Ahh, in that case, Rage on Scumba fett works fine with K4 security droid

Buy a U-wing. It's such a pretty ship.

>i hate rogue one because of the call-outs
>tfa is great because it's like the REAL star wars
well which one fucking is it mike

Even if I'd hated everything else about Rogue One, I'd ahve still loved the film for giving us the U-Wing.

That thing's beautiful.

If you listen to the Rogue One commentary track, he paints a much clearer picture of his opinion and I happened to agree with him

No, it really was his plan.

In 1983, Dale Pollock, George Lucas' biographer, published Skywalking: The Life and Films of George Lucas. Within, he wrote, “A spectacular wedding for Annakin [sic] Skywalker is expected for Episode II, in which he is betrothed to the Queen (portrayed as a teenager by Portman). There will also be a torrid love triangle among the grown-up Queen (who will give birth to the twins, Luke and Leia), Annakin Skywalker, and Ben Kenobi. The consequences of this love triangle are one of the great betrayals layered throughout the three prequels that have enormous impact on all of the major characters in the story.”

Vader asked Luke if Obi-Wan had told him about his father FIRST before revealing any information. He was lying, in an attempt to sway Luke to the Dark Side.

Luke was the bastard child of infidelity between Padme and Obi-Wan, a betrayal that caused the fall of Anakin and the end of the Galactic Republic.

Anakin/Vader was still redeemed by the compassion Luke felt for him, even though Luke wasn't his biological son.

All would have been revealed in the sequel trilogy... but Lucas thought they'd never be made, so he pulled the plug on the idea and made the prequels without a major twist.

That's what gets me. Every reason they provided for not liking Rogue One is exactly what people didn't like about The Force Awakens, but they like Force Awakens.

I like them both though, so what do I know?

AT-STS
AT-STS
STAR DESTROYERS
I'M GONNA CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM!

You gotta try he fearlessness cluster missiles on Boba.

They straight up tell Luke Vader is his Father in the movies, that is fucking dumb

Well he was a marine lance corporal, so you know he's some kind of massive fuckup in the making already.
I actually liked the force awakens tantrums, they're pretty much how most darkside PC's end up

>Marine lance corporal
First Order version of Terminal Lance when?

Yeah, i'm in PA, so shipping might make that suck. I play entirely empire with a minuscule amount of rebels solely so that I can run demo games. (Dash, 3 T-70's and a Falcon is all I own for rebels)

Yup, but it's all Jedi lies, because Luke was their only hope of killing the Emperor.

Turns out inanimate objects are the only things he can fight worth a damn

since I missed it last thread can someone chuck me a discord invite?

Kylo was honestly my favourite thing from TFA. He was an absolutely perfect example of what dark siders really would be like

Where in PA? I just moved to Philly fairly recently

State College.

It'd really work with stormtroopers, like scary well.

>Half trained, in a position of power, basically a terror to anyone of private rank and the bane of their CO's existence
>On a long enough timeline they will fuck something up
Yep, that's a corporal

I'm debating buying an Imperial Raider for X-wing solely so that I can have 1 of everything, and because it looks sweet as hell.

There's already 2 people in my local area that bought one, so everyone around me already has copies of ATC and TIEx1. In addittion, I have a custom Palpatine already, so I don't really need the palp.

Would anyone want or need copies of TIEx1/ATC(which I would have 3 spare copies of) or Palpatine?

Or should I buy a raider with the valuable cards missing and get the TIE Advanced pilots from it separately?

...

What would you be looking to sell the cards for?

There is nothing right about Reddit Letter Media. You can fuck right off with your retarded and asinine opinion you TFA loving piece of shit.

Lance coolies aren't actually NCOs, that's the thing

>caring about what some youtube comedians think of a franchise

If it's bad why do you get so autistic over other people liking it?

Oh no someone isn't sharing my exact opinion on everything! and they're on the internet! The horror of it all

Wait, I thought the autists hated RLM because they shat all over their precious prequels.
I can never keep track of these autistic kids and their hatred of different opinions.

>Lance coolies aren't actually NCOs, that's the thing
And that's the problem

If they arent being the screws in the barracks they're generally terrorising each other. I had one get drunk and his mates managed to smuggle him onto a flight from Sydney to Perth with nothing but half his clothes, no money, no phone and a one way ticket

google, where is my macaroni?.gg/ejyYs

sup /swg/ I'm doing an Epic game soon, and I want some advice.

It's going to be a 300 point game and I don't know what to bring- Raider or Gozanti.

Has anyone played Epic enough to know what the pros and cons of these 2 ships are?

I have the following ships to work with, and upgrades to spare.

(all ships are empire, as I'll be playing them)

1 of every huge/large ship.
6 TIE Fighters
6 TIE/FOs
4 TIE Interceptors
3 TIE Defenders
2 of every other type of TIE.

I'm trying to decide between these 2 lists now, but both are open to tweaking-

-a set of 3 Juke Glaive Defenders, a Gozanti built for durability and ramming, 4 TIE/FOs with crack riding on the Gozanti, and a pair of bombers to fuck with big squads and alpha down shields.

- A Raider with 2 Quadlasers and an Ion Cannon Battery, a Tactician, and Operations specialist (So it stresses everything near it and hands out focus tokens) along with assorted durability gear, 6 TIE/FO's with Weapons Guidance and Crack Shot, and either an ace (Rexler or Soontir most likely) or a support ship like an upsilon.

Likely a bit less than they are going for on Ebay.

That's what, $20 for palp and $9 for the ATC/TIEx1 pair?

>Raider or Gozanti
Why not both?

My PC and whoever is closest when she gets drunk enough. (She's literally so repressed she's not really sure about her own sexual preference, though I've played her as mostly spilling her spaceghetti around one particular NPC female Sith)

Because that's ~200 points, and they would be ineffective.

Also, I want a single massive centerpiece to build my list around.

My buddy and I are looking to do an easy to make Star Wars theme duo costume thing for our local town Comic Con event. Who or what characters do you guys think we should dress up as that's easy to do or cheap to make?

Trioculus and Moff Hissa.

And that picture is?
Because like hell I'm sitting through that shit.

The Gozer is probably better just on cost. Epics aren't terribly efficient so a Gozer means more points for other stuff.

My favorite Gozer is the one that lets his buddies launch and be PS8 loaded with bombers. Crack shot gamma vets, to be precise.

For the Raider, I'm partial to turbos x2 with quads as point defense. Just snipe away. Vader crew for maximum dickery.

Mike and Jay

Dengar and Embo

If I'm running a Gozanti, it's going to be running the Vector title- I didn't paint the Vector scheme onto it for nothing.

Since it effectively moves at PS14, and has RAC on board for re-positioning and smashing fools, it lets me dump 4 TIE/FOs into someone's ass.

For the Raider, I figured I could have it be loaded out as a combination of a support ship (tactician+Opspec and massed quadlasers, combined with focus-hungry ships) The one issue with Vader that I have with the raider is that my opponent chooses which half takes the 2 damage. Also, I really want to just get into people's faces with my Raider. It's also nice with everything being at PS 4 (with Stridan as the final ship)

I also wish the Decimator was better in Epic, but with swarms being so prevalent, and the lack of a Reinforce action, it's not going to live very long.

If I do run the gozanti list, how does this look?

Gozanti (Docking clamps, Broadcast Array, Vector, RAC, Shield Technician, Dual Laser Turret, Automated Protocols.)

4x Omega Squadron Pilot (Weapons Guidance, Crack shot)

2x Glaive Squadron Pilot (TIE/x7, Juke)

2x Gamma Squadron Veteran (Proton Torpedoes, Extra Munitions, Seismic Charges, Guidance Chips)

Colonel Vessery(TIE/x7, Juke)

1 point bid leftover.

Should I try to squeeze an Opspec into there somewhere? Replace RAC?

TLDR is that while TFA was derivative and had it's share of fan service (which was the weakest part of that movie) it did those things in service of a decent (albeit roughly copied) plot with the intent of introducing a younger audience to what Star Wars feels like and getting the ball rolling in a direction for this trilogy. (Personally, I feel like the success of failure of the trilogy as a whole is going to affect how TFA is remembered more than anything else)
Whereas Rogue One has a ton of fan service and bad writing/character development in service of very little in terms of plot and a larger continuity. Additionally, Rogue One has problems in introducing the setting, whereas TFA is a better standalone film in that it does a good job establishing the mythology even to someone who isn't familiar with any of the characters.
Basically, the RLM guys have said that they neither hate nor love either movie, but TFA is the more serviceable of the two.
/swg/ takes them way too seriously. Of course they embellish this shit for comedic effect in their videos, they're comedians not film critics.

What kinds of starfighters do you think they would use in groups like Saw's Militia? Y-Wings and Z-95s or Kihraxz fighters and Z-95s?

>bad writing/character development
but that's wrong
nevermind the whole idea of 'this film explicitly advertised as a tie-in film isn't as """""""""accessible""""""""""" to any given chucklefuck' is bumblefuck retarded to begin with

No, the writing is pretty horrible, and even after all her cuts Jyn is still an irritating Sue.

Looks solid to me.

>Sue
You keep using that word. I do not think you know what it means.

>watch as an untrained small-framed girl beats up half a dozen elite trained armored men in a 6 - on - 1 fistfight

I just joined a local league after a friend gave me a bunch of ships. Don't think I'll do well in it, but I had a blast playing for first time so Im definitely going back.
Think Im running a Tie swarm
Omega Squad x 2 with Crack Shot
Howl runner with Crack Shot
Mauler Mithel with Crack Shot
Kir Kanos with Stealth Device

I'm never sure on the EPT/mod slots on the bombers though.

Currently I'm running Deadeye+Chips, but I could run Plasma+LRS+ept of choice (lock on and roll up and try to punish their big ship. .

What are your thoughts on LRS vs Chips in epic?

Inertial Dapeners on Firesprays are something you pretty much have to include. You have a high PS and a kinda shitty dial. The number of times it's came in handy for me are immeasurable.

Also, beware the Curse of the Firespray- it's the ship most likely to fly off of the board. (large base, no 1-hard, actually likes moving unlike the Lambda)

feel free to dampen to stop from flying off of the board.

The writing and characters were really bad. You have a problem when a fucking droid has the biggest character arc in the movie.
Being a tie-in is not an excuse for not introducing details about character and faction motivations because "You should have watched the other ones first". I think an opening crawl could have alleviated this a touch, but then you run into having a title crawl in a movie that literally is the title crawl for ANH.
I really hope they do a Jedha prequel to tell me about how that statue fell over. I need shit like that explained to me, otherwise I just can't take this children's series seriously enough.

>untrained
She was part of Saw's Militia for years.
>elite trained armored men
>Stormtroopers
>elite
KEK

that's cool shit- What did your friend end up giving you? If he gave you 4+ copies of Crack Shot, he's a good friend.

If you post your full collection, I can spitball some other list ideas that you might like.

To be fair, stormtroopers are elite as shit. Star Wars just never shows the Imperial Army.
The inclusion of Death Troopers (esspecially without an explanation of their role in the ST Corps) really undermined how elite the average Stormtrooper is supposed to be.

Admittedly she HAD been doing exactly that for about a decade with Saw

I want to see some super spicy squad tech at worlds, or failing that, someone like Dallas Parker to have some impressive TIE Swarm flying on a streamed game.

I either want Empire to win so that we can finally end our 4 year losing stream,
or you, so we can get more people from Jedi Prince

Saw's militia has X-Wings. They're briefly visible in two scenes of R1, and in supplemental materials.

Black and white X-wings.
Just google Partisan X-wing

No where in canon does it state that Stormtroopers are supposed to be "elite as shit" as you put it.

This point is just an opinion or headcanon

Nono, the crack shot is just proxy printed.
I got Core 1, Imp Vets, Boba Fett, Tie/Adv for him
Picked up Tie Fighter and Core2 myself.
