As someone who played Styx and loved the lore and fucking adored the gameplay and lore of Bound by Flame (shame it was so short, felt like they ran out of funding midway), I went through all their other games and found Of Orc and Men. I really REALLY wanted to like it, but it just was...painfully clunky. Couldn't bring myself to. Still go back and play Styx/Bound by Flame occasionally.

The boss fight was intense. I had to spam craft items, just to beat it. I was playing on hard so that may have been it.

I agree that the majority of the best bits happened off-screen. Still a fun game, and the craft really felt interesting and enjoyable. A game based off of it I would set more in tone of BSG, with your band of ragtags fleeing, engaging with skirmishes, to make it towards the greater bulk of the armies.
