>playing and learning GURPs for the first time

...

But just think of all the things you could do with that empty room!

>you could fill all those shelves with GURPS books

I've wanted to do a campaign on the "Gurps Infinite Worlds" setting but I just can't bring myself to learn those worlds.

Also, playing a fighter in 3e

>giving the gift of GURPS to brainlets

>GURPS Vehicle Rules

There is literally nothing wrong with GURPS.

lol i just want kill orc tho XD

>just modifying 3.5 to run your campaign

>The gm has another moral quandary for the Paladins

Thank Heala Brightaxe that I chose to be a paladin of freedom instead of a vanilla paladin, otherwise I'd be fucked

>playing dnd 5e for the first time
wht would be the best face for this?

...

your image seems to imply it works, when it does not. Not even superficially.

...

>10 cents for a piece of carbon paper
holy shit what were they thinking?

>my character would have no reason to join the party

> GURPS

>Its another morally grey "I'm the victim" villain

>they still ping evil
DEUS VULT
>Gm tries to start the guilt train
"NOPE THEY WERE EVIL SUCK MY PALADIN COCK I Don't CARE IF THEY WERE SOME LESSER SHADE OF EVIL, gotta smite ALL THE EVIL"

woah

That Guy and That GM in one post.

Is it really even that bad or is that just a meme?

>when some autistic tells you that you don't exist

I dig it. Mine is "Storm Kings' thunder."

It doesn't exist, and the dense and hard to understand 3e rules don't translate to 4e. They've also been working on it for the better part of a decade now.

>villain has slaughtered dozens if not hundreds of innocents
>begins a rant about how he's not to blame
Nah you're in the right for smiting him.

>Historical European campaign
>Pre-Age of Discovery
>There's black people

Sure, but "smite ALL the evil" paladins are guaranteed faggots.

>Edgy NPC steals from party
>Paladin/Rogue asks him what the fuck
>"Life's not fair."
>Paladin/Rogue steals the treasure back
>NPC asks what the fuck, he's a Pally
>Paladin: "Life's not fair. I am."

>playing and learning GURPs for the first time

fucking really? its not a hard system, hell any game shouldnt be painful to learn unles your retarded and dont know how to read. fucking gamer posers. let me guess le wil wheaton was talking about it or some shit so your trying to fit in. faggot

>namefag
Anyways, have you ever played with new people?
Shit's like pulling teeth. Even with a bog-standard system like D&D I get asked "h-how do I roll again?" or "What dice do I roll?"
This is on session 4 after explaining it to them multiple times and having other more experienced players breeze through their turns.

Hey user, wanna hear a secret?

He's just baiting all night/

>Anyways, have you ever played with new people?

not since the early 90`s because im not a faggot new player who merely got into the hobby because its trendy or whatever atm. fucking posers.

>I haven't played with new people in the group since the 90's

whats wrong with selectively playing with actual role players? when i go to a con and the kid running the game got into rpgs from wil wheaton i fucking leave right there from the one shot. ive literally hit dm`s who thought they knew shit about tabletop trying to tell me how to play the fucking game. i dont play that shit.

>new group starting in my town
>it's GURPS, the GM is the only one that knows the system
>character creation takes a while, but gameplay is fairly simple
>two years into campaign now, everything is fine, even picked up more people underway
GURPS isn't hard at all. The only real barrier is creating your very first character.

?????

I have.

>"what do i have to do to make a character? i've never played rpgs before"
>"read this"
>"okay done in about a day. how do i win?"
>"roll less than this number here"
>"okay"

I bet you're real fun at parties.

Yhup. Fuckin gay as shit fits it perfectly.

>being bad at using the d20 system

...

>I bet you're real fun at parties

not since the early 90`s because im not a faggot new chad who merely got into partying because its trendy or whatever atm. fucking posers.

whats wrong with selectively partying with actual partiers? when i go to a club and the kid at the bar got into parties from Miley Cyrus i fucking leave right there from the one shot. ive literally hit homeowner`s who thought they knew shit about partying trying to tell me how to play fucking beer pong. i dont play that shit.

at least im not a anime posting pleb poser

fuck you

ill sue you for slander your misquoting me and fucking mocking me you asshole piece of dog shit

...

>GM says Explosive Runes will chain detonate

>when everyone is having a great time during the boss fight

I forgot about this image

The book on Thai Cuisine, though.

>tfw one player has been playing the same character for 4 years
>he still has to add up all his to hit bonuses each time he attacks

Every time I see that pic there is something new

I know your pain.
>Player always plays a cleric, bard or rogue
>Usually tries to be the Face despite not knowing what to say and not being able to improvise
>Always takes 10+ minutes reading each of his spells before deciding what to do
I swear he chooses his spells at random or something.

>Always play with the same group of people
>They always play caster, support, rogue
>just want to play a wizard
>tfw martial for life
I long for spells of fire ball and witchbolt.

>mfw GM'ing Fallout Equestria: Pen and Paper
I only have one player who's played it before so nobody but her knows how to break the game. We've had some good battles, role-playing, and party bonding and we're about to finish the first arc of the story I have planned.

>Fallout Equestria
Holy shit that's still around? Did Project Horizon ever finish?

Enjoy your vacation.

It's a neverending cancer of endless spinoffs.
PH has been finished for around 2 years.

Yeah, now there's a sequel. I'll never read it though.

Discord isn't a pony.

>2 years
Surprised it actually finished.
I'm more impressed with the staying power of that show, I thought it was just going to be a fad.

It's a weird system to teach new people, but going through it together has helped. I found if you're all new at it, it goes pretty well for everyone.

...

>Namefag threatens user
Wew lad

play better systems

>turkish ball

We dindu nuffin we built roads and bridges for them.

>When you realize you have a IQ too fucking low to play GURPS but it's ok because your group does too

...

what are moors

...

>hell any game shouldnt be painful to learn unles your retarded and dont know how to read.

Fatal would want to talk with you

>Even with a bog-standard system like D&D
D&D is just the most famous rpg that "everyone plays", its not the simples one or whateaver

...

>not since the early 90's

(you) for you

>literally me

>being bad at picking systems worth investing your time in

It depends on how autistic the GM is, by which I mean how many optional rules they use 'because it's more realistic'. Making a character in GURPS is a total bitch without help. Playing the character isn't any harder than D&D, provided the GM knows how the system works. Trying to play a character when the GM's using about 20 books full of optional rules for every possible action is just plain confusing.

>"Are you sure you want to do that?"

I just backtraced your IP and told the cyber police that you hurt my feelings online. Don't talk to me ever again.

Only really works in Iberia and Southern Italy, fair point though.

This isn't a Canadian syrup farming board user. The mounties don't have any power here.
