A scientific category is valid if it helps us conduct science. You are incapable of understanding the subjectivity of scientific categories as being valid. I don't know what you mean by "Brazilian" or know of anybody who categorized Amerindians with Lebanese and Indians, but Lebanese and South Indians were classified as Caucasian based on skull shape. Despite skin color, South Indian Dravidians do have skulls that are more similar to Lebanese than Australian Aboriginies, thus that classification was scientific. I don't think it's the best system of categorization, but it was scientific.
